Love the fact that the washing machine has an agitator. Clothes seems to be cleaner. Didn't like that the max water levels is not available on each load.

Delivery. installation. and removal of old washer all went well. Thankfully, no packing material left behind.
You do NOT need to download any apps or use internet features if, like me, you just prefer to use this as a normal washing machine.
The concern about items slipping off the sloped top of the washer is way overblown imo. There is a kind of a notch near the front top you can use to prevent this from happening. Also, it is much more likely to happen only with very smooth, slick items. Once you know it can happen it seems pretty easy to prevent it from happening.
The filter trap is near the floor. Not a problem for me, but I had read so many reviews of different washers I was at first surprised it was located there. A pedestal can be ordered if this is a problem for you.
The cycles tend to take a long time .... but they do a great job. There is a "quick wash" cycle you can use as needed.
Every 30 loads or so you get prompted to run a cleaning cycle using Affirm (or you can use bleach). I chose to use bleach since I had that on hand. Use only 8 ounces of bleach, no more, to best clean and not damage the washer.
When you start using this washer you learn there can be a delay of a second or two before the machine responds to your key presses. Just something to get used to. Also the auto fill takes some getting used to. If you (like me) were used to carefully laying out your items all around the bottom of the washer - oops - that can imo mess up the autofill feature. The instructions say just drop your items into the washer. The machine then goes into a very impressive dance where it kind of shakes and senses the height of the whole load - then only uses as much water as needed. Once I started trusting the machine and just dropping the items into the washer (before starting obviously) it worked great. Otherwise it seemed to be faked out and not load enough water (which also happened to me until I read the directions:-) If all else fails you have the option to set the water level yourself before the load starts washing.
Very pleased with this Maytag washer.

Have this washing machine about a month and very impressed with it. Multiple laundry settings allows for efficient use of water (hot, cold, overall) and addresses just about every laundry need. Very large capacity. Most importantly, the clothes are clean! Nice looking, too. Really like the glass top so you can see what's happening. The end of cycle notification is a nice feature. I highly recommend this product!!

Large capacity and I was concerned switching from my front loader but this machine washes as good as the front loader.
Cons you have to select each wash to use fabric Softener, a bit noisy when it first starts

Machine does a nice job cleaning but is a lot noisier than my 20 year old Kenmore and takes twice as long to do a load. I am not a fan of the locking lid since it makes it difficult to add an article of clothing you may have missed but that seems to be the norm with all washers these days.

This is my third set of Maytag washers and dryers. Bought my first set around 1987, second set around 2002. I always buy the middle-of-the-road model; not the cheapest and not the most expensive. Everyone says that appliances are getting less reliable, but I've had great success with Maytag. I am very impressed with this washer. The tub seems to be much larger, and wow! is is quiet when it runs. I also like the new feature where the washer determines how much water is needed. We seem to be using less water, and everything is just as clean as when we had our previous washer.

I really love my new washer. The capacity is huge and my clothes come out extremely clean. I've done more than 30 loads of laundry to day and absolutely no complaints. It has options that are relative to my laundry but not too many bells and whistles. I hope we are enjoying this unit for years to come.

Pros: able to reach the inside the bottom of drum for loose socks,
allows different water levels, cycle complete signal, digital time remaining readout, spins out clothing almost to the point of dry-which drastically cuts down dryer time.
Cons: sometimes some weird noises

Fancy Washer

Bought this washer to replace an old Whirlpool, which had its agitator go out. Really wanted an agitator washer, but had read lots of reviews that said modern washers never fill with enough water, and that modern agitators don't really do what you expect them to, sometimes shredding clothes that never get fully wet, or don't have enough water to move around in freely.
I saw a few favorable reviews on this one, as well as from third-party sites that reviewed appliances, and this one seemed to rank high. The thing that eventually sold me on it was the deep fill settings. It can be a little confusing, as certain wash cycles don't allow max water fill, but the deep fill definitely allows enough water for the clothes to move freely. It's not completely to the top of the tub, but it's plenty for clothes to float around in (provided you don't overstuff the tub). I feel the extra movement and water volume allows for a better clean, and helps prevent damage to clothes if they can't really swish around.
The agitator also seems to work fairly well. While clothes don't get turned over rapidly, it does eventually turn them over after a few minutes. The clothes on the bottom will get drawn to the top, and the clothes on top will be drawn under. Perhaps not the most efficient agitator, but it does what it's intended to do over the course of the wash cycle. (Certainly better than not having an agitator at all!) There's an impeller at the bottom, too, so combined with the agitator, there's a lot of movement. The downside to the impeller is it can sometimes twist clothes, but it hasn't caused any real issues in the month I've been using this washer.
One downside is there is no built-in faucet, so to pre-dissolve oxy powders and the like, or pretreat stains, you need to go to a separate sink.
The glass lid is a bit of a moot feature as, even on cool temperature setting, the glass tends to get a bit foggy, so you can't quite see the contents of the tub anyway. It still gives it a modern and sleek appearance, though. On the positive side, the lid also has two "up" positions, one fully open, and one about 3/4 open. This allows free access to overhead cabinets, room to open the doors, while keeping the lid up.
As far as the "Extra Power" button goes, I'm not entirely certain what it actually does. When I push it, I do notice that it adds a few minutes to the wash duration. Maybe it makes the agitator spin faster, or more rotations per minute? I'm not a scientist. Regardless of the exact technology, I'm sure the few extra minutes of agitating does help to some degree.
One thing I've noticed, which is slightly concerning, is when the washer is sensing the load, and doing its pre-wash, pre-rinse "test" spins, the inner tub can sometimes hit the walls/shell of the washer, which is fully visible and audible as the metal gets pushed out. So far it's not a severe problem, no dents or damage or anything of that nature. The sensor seems to do a good job at making adjustments to balance it before it gets out of control. If the auto-balance sensor and mechanism ever do go out, though, I imagine it could be quite a big problem.
I really like that it has a dedicated detergent and softener tray. As part of the tub filling, the water is pushed through those tray compartments at the appropriate point in the wash cycle. I like that the wash liquids get mixed and diluted with water a bit before being added to the load. One drawback to the tray, however, is that there will still be a bit of water in it after the wash has completed. If left this way, it can take on a mildew smell, as the tray does not have enough air circulation to allow for adequate evaporation of the water inside. It's simple enough to slide the tray out and dump the water, or to use a freshly washed sock to absorb the excess water before tossing it in the dryer, but is certainly an extra step to keep in mind.
This washer was a bit on the pricy side, but I think it was worth it. Hopefully it will serve me well for another decade, as my last washer did.

I like the product well it does the job. I had a Maytag Bravo that I had to replace. This machine is very noisy other than that it does the job. I also miss the rinse cycle that was available on the Bravo. I like that this model has the agitator.

We were a bit nervous going from a completely manual washer that we have been happy with for 22years to one that had much more of a computer interface. Wow. What a difference. So much more quiet and the automatic settings work perfectly. Some of the reviews talk about I know noisy it is but obviously they were not replacing a very old machine. while it has different noises, it's much quieter. Also, the water levels are great. Not only can we get two loads done in one but the water levels are more than adequate. Still a bit nervous about the computer settings failing but so far this is an amazing washing machine!

Haven't used this very much yet, but I can say it is louder than I thought it would be. We bought with the statement it was a quiet washer, however we do not consider this a quiet washing machine. It is very pretty to look at. I do not care for the top being locked that you can not add clothing after starting the washing machine. I had one of the old fashion washing machines where you could open and close the top for additions and the agitator was powerful. This agitator is not as good as what I had. I really like the new feature that measure the water itself.

I absolutely love this washer. This machine doesn't need to a lot of detergent to wash a large load of clothes! This is very important for me because it helps with my pockets. I like that it gives you a time when the load would be completed. The machine is a smart machine, you can connect it to your phone. The machine will stop if there's something wrong with the load. For example, when the load wasn't balanced, the load stopped until it was leveled.

I love this washer that my grandson bought for me. It washes well and has lots of bells and whistles. For example, you can download an app on your phone and you can program the washer from your phone and it will let you know when the load is finished! The only downside, it's a bit loud.

We bought this washer with our dryer (review made). Made in the USA! this product is one the workers at Maytag can brag about. I never had a machine so easy to use or get my clothing so clean. I’d buy it again - I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a well priced, excellent washing machine.
