Has agitator. Quiet, and does a great job. Much better than the 20 year old model we replaced.

It took awhile to learn about all the "bells and whistles" that this machine provides but now it is easy to use. I still can't believe how much laundry I can adequately do in this machine that takes up as much space as my old one. I am still able to reach inside at 5'4" to get the laundry out fine. I am a little worried about all the electronics and how long they will last, but for now, it is a great product.

I bought this Maytag to replace one that was recalled by Samsung. I have had it for 2 months and am satisfied with it. I specifically bought it for the agitator that is capable of wringing out the water from large duvet covers and sheets until they are almost dry. My old Samsung (with no agitator) could not do that. This Maytag is makes strange scratchy noises and is relative loud, but my washes come out clean.

I purchased this Maytag washer as a replacement for a 13 year old washer. I also bought the matching Maytag dryer. This machine is efficient, quiet, and easy to operate, as is the dryer. One consideration was that they had to fit into the laundry closet which they both did well. With most of the machines on the market being front loaders (and being larger) I was happy to have found these and I'm happy with my purchase.

This is by far the best washer I have ever had and a great price. It is a large capacity so that is a huge plus. It has every setting you could possibly want or need and so easy to use. It is very quiet also. The auto fill setting is a great feature too. I couldn't be more pleased!!! Hopefully will be getting the matching dryer soon.

I purchased this washer after my Samsung was recalled. I like this one better because it has an agitator. The instrument panel seems to be made cheaper than my previous washer and that's why I only gave it four stars.

Absolutely love this washing machine. I like having an agitator and this was the biggest one available that still uses the agitator. I like that it reminds you to run a clean cycle, has water level sensors, options for different cycles, temperature, etc, but not so many that it’s overwhelming.

Very pleased by operation and capacity. It has a deep water setting but like all new machines it is very stingy on water fill. 2 years and still pleased. Works quietly.

I LOVE this machine! Since I'm short and it's a top-loader, I have a problem reaching the bottom in the back. The drum of this Maytag spins SO easily that I can just spin it around to get the clothes in the back. And, I can get my extra large bedding in it with room to spare!

We have a new home and I wanted the same washer we had in our former home. This is it with a few more settings but without an agitator. I washed one white sweatshirt without any spot treatment and it cleaned great. My old one was noisy...this one is not. I have had it only one week but I am pleased.

Had to replace a 3 year old LG top loader that was having multiple issues. I debated on going back to a front loader, but spacewise it was clear I needed to get another top load. I was hesitant. The last one did not have an agitator and I just felt it wasn't cleaning as well, and the repair issues were another issue I didn't want to repeat. I reluctantly chose this one at first, seemed like agitators were "old school", and I never even got to see the floor model. I was pleasantly surprised! The tub is large, the control knobs are easy, option to deep fill, clothes are much cleaner. Have had it about a month and still very happy with purchase. The one small thing, my family notices the whirring noise of the agitation while washing. Our washing machine is upstairs near our main living area.. but I'm so happy with it, I don't even notice.

I love my new washing machine! We had a front loader before and it left everything feeling and smelling like mildew. When we went to purchase the new machine I was looking for one with an agitator. This one has all the bells and whistles of front loaders but has the agitator. Our clothes smell clean!!! Easy to use and I love washing clothes again.

Purchased this washer because we were looking for a digital control panel, glass lid for viewing and the capability of using an autofill sensor for adjusting for different load sizes. The washer seems to be cleaning well and has a spin cycle that can be adjusted for each load. The only problem is that the washer seems to be noisy because it turns the water on and off for adjusting for load size and causes the water pipes to clank. Overall, seems to be a good purchase...........that will hopefully last for years.

My Whirlpool washer broke, I called for repair and the technician told me I needed to buy a new washer. I did not want to buy a new washer, I loved my Whirlpool it only broke one time when I tried to wash some pillows, but it was always perfect for 18 long years. My daughter checked all the reviews and I bought this one that is perfect and I love it!

I normally don’t write reviews but thought I would to help confirm some information out there about this washer. This machine does not use much water. Even when I activated the deep water setting, I looked in and the water level was minimal. For an HE washer, it does a good job. My whites are white and the clothes are clean. How it does it with this amount of water, I have no idea. This washer uses even less water than the older HE Maytag that just died. It is slightly noisy but it's in a basement laundry room. I need the finish chime because there are periods the washer is pretty quiet. I have no idea if the machine will remind me to clean it or not. The instruction booklet wasn’t clear on that either. Beware, if you are not tall, this size is the largest I recommend. I could not reach the bottom of the larger model without a step stool. All in all, it’s a good washer when compared to other models. I don’t regret the purchase. I gave 4 starts instead of 5 because the deep water setting didn't fill the machine even 1/2 way.

We just bought a new house so new buying new appliances just felt right. My work clothes get very dirty so I wanted a washer that would be able to handle that when I wash them once a week. I read that a washer with an agitator shaft is more aggressive to the clothes to make sure then get clean. I will say this thing does it's job well. It also has all kinds of other settings for any possible other thing you want to wash. Delicates or denim or bedding, there's a rotating knob to select what mode you want as there are several more modes. VERY cool control panel. I feel like I have a futuristic machine to wash my clothes! I'm very happy with it. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.
