Customers often highlight the superior cleaning performance and ease of use of the 4.8 Cu. Ft. High Efficiency Top Load Washer with Extra Power Button. Many appreciate its large capacity and tub size, making it suitable for bigger loads. However, some users mention that the washer can be noisy and that the lack of a detergent dispenser is inconvenient. Concerns regarding balance issues and occasional reliability problems were also noted.

I love my washer! The size is nice, the install was minimal, and I love that it’s a heavy duty washer,

The Maytag top load washing machine is extremely easy to operate for a machine with so many extra features. However it is a bit noisy.

It washes clothes really good. Spins them well. I love all of the different cycles. It does not have a separate dispenser for bleach and detergent

I’ve had this washer for 4 days. I’ve done 4 loads of laundry, two of which became unbalanced & just sat there with the lid locked, lights flashing. I had to turn it off, reposition the clothes & put it on the drain & spin cycle. Not sure if my clothes were even washed. It shouldn’t become unbalanced with 2 pairs of jeans, a few tops & socks in there. And it’s horribly loud - even during a load that isn’t off balance. I expected so much more from a Maytag. I would like to return it if I can .

Maytag Washer Forever!

I'm dating myself, but after 15 years of a Maytag, I purchased another Maytag. The first noticeable item is that the washer takes less water and does a better job producing cleaner laundry than the older machine. And the spin cycle is super fast meaning less time in the dryer.
All in all, this is a great purchase.

My wife and daughter are very happy with this washer. The different settings are not too complicated and very easy to use. The capacity is perfect for our families needs. Maytag continues to manufacture quality products. Thanks

Basic washing machine - there really aren't many thrills here with this one. The capacity is good and it works just fine. It is noisier than expected and you have to buy a downey ball if you want to use a fabric softener. It just seems a little primitive for this day.

It does it’s job but it’s loud, takes at least an hour to complete a cycle & it gets very unbalanced easily so it start banging around! If you don’t mind any of that then it’s okay.

Works well. Very hard to retrieve the operation manual over the innernet. Took several tries and getting the specific manual for this model is challenging, Installation people were quick and clean.

Basically only went with this model because the dyer that matched it was the only one we could find that would fit in the space we had. Works well washes clothes and does everything it’s supposed to do. Only reason it didn’t get 5 stars is it’s jut as loud as the 18 year old kenmoore we replaced.

Needed a washer and since we had a maytag before we bought it. Once setting it up and doing the adjustments. It works. The only thing is the noise it makes and shakes alot. Fixed the problem a bit by putting some cardboard under the legs and helped. Again we needed a washer and there it is. We got used to the noise and have clean closed and close it like that.

The machine works ok for a $500 washing machine. The 3 starts is for how loud it is. Holy cow and it takes a really long time to wash a load.

Loving My Maytag

We recently purchased our Maytag washer after looking and comparing with several brands. I can tell you that Maytag does not disappoint us in its washing capabilities. Our clothes have been noticeably cleaner and smelling fresher. We had a Maytag years ago and now wonder why we didn't stick with this brand. Thanks Maytag and Best Buy!

Overall a decent washing machine. I wish i would have gotten a model with an agitator. I don't think the impeller gets clothes as clean. Also wish it had a detergent dispenser. But a decent unit for the money.

The washer we purchase was a great decision. The cycle options are very convenient. For example the adjustments of the water levels helps save money by usinlg less water so therefore, it's a win, win situation. This makes a difference on the long run. I also noticed the quick wash cycle, this cycle not only saves time but money too because you use less electricity and water too.

My wife likes it so far. She thinks it's louder than our old unit and maybe it is. But it's not intrusive. I think the sounds are just different, not necessarily louder. But I'm not telling her that. She'll make me bring the old one back in the house so we can compare. She also likes the old-style controls over the touch pads of the higher priced units. Those can be more problems than they're worth.
