This is the perfect gift for my 8 year old grandson. I like the idea that he could get some exercise too. I have enjoyed playing it. Playing the Oculus with my grandson has been an incredible bonding experience. We laugh, strategize, and celebrate together as we conquer challenges and explore virtual worlds. It's not just a gaming device; it's a gateway to shared adventures and memories.
The Oculus has exceeded all my expectations and has brought so much joy to both my grandson and myself. It's a gift that keeps on giving, as we continue to discover new games and experiences. If you're looking for a gift that will provide hours of entertainment and create lasting memories, I highly recommend the Oculus.
My only issue is that recently, he lost it. There is no way of tracking these devices.

Amazing vr free roam experience with Great quality sound built into the headset you don't even need headphones . I ended up buy 2 in the same month, the first was for my daughter then after enjoying it so much i had to get my own. I own other vr headsets and this is actually my favorite. The library of old and new games, easy to setup and use , menu and clarity is amazing, the accessories you can buy is unmatched, you can pair any headphones or earbuds to it , there's games that are extremely immersive I haven't played anything that hasn't blown my mind because there's so many things I can try out before I buy. Matchmaking with friends is so enjoyable and easy ,beat saver is a must have. There is battery packs that you can purchase that will allow you to be able to enjoy VR all day long plus there's so many affordable add-ons to the headset to make it your own style. The battery life on a controller is unbelievable I've been playing this thing for weeks and still have 98% battery don't even know how that's possible. This has that is a must-have even after being out for almost 3 years I'm so glad I purchased one.

The Oculus Quest 2 offers an impressive VR experience with its wireless design, high-resolution display, and powerful performance. The vast library of games and apps, coupled with easy setup, make it accessible for both beginners and experienced users. The comfortable design and improved controllers enhance immersion, though some users may find the default head strap less comfortable for extended use. Additionally, concerns about privacy and the need for a Facebook account have sparked debates. Overall, the Oculus Quest 2 is a solid choice for those seeking a standalone VR system with a compelling mix of affordability and performance.

Since I got it properly adjusted the headset is comfortable and provides an amazing VR experience. It is completely immersive with fantastic sound quality (not hi fidelity, but music sounds good). My wife walks right by me while I’m playing and I have no idea she’s there.
It can be a little disorienting at times, so it’s important to have plenty of open space around you. I haven’t tried it sitting down, but that might be a good idea when playing games with more motion/ movement to avoid getting motion sickness.
I’ve only tried a couple different games but the selection appears to be pretty good. Edit: Beat Saber and Moss are two must-haves. Incredible experience in both. PistolWhip is also quite fun.
The one knock would be the short battery life (I haven’t run it all the way down, but would estimate it at 1-1.5 hours). However, they recommend taking breaks and not playing for too long at any given time. The battery life works in a one-user scenario, but would be too short if you’re sharing the headset between multiple users. Edit: After playing on the headset more I’m finding the battery is lasting longer than I originally thought. After two solid hours of play today I still had a good chunk of battery left. Increased my rating to 5 stars based on this.
Overall, I’m very happy I bought this headset.

We own a Meta Quest headset (my daughter wanted one for Christmas) and the whole family has had so much fun with it that we decided to purchase another set. Hands down, it’s extremely cool and we can’t get enough!
My daughter was able to set it up herself (just follow the prompts on the headset). If you download the app, you can choose from free games or others are available for purchase (just check the App Store).
If you’re on the fence about purchasing, let me say that I highly recommend this virtual reality headset. It’s a lot of fun to experience & explore. You won’t be disappointed!

This Oculus Quest 2 is just AMAZING. So breath taking. I love how everything is set up so nice and integrated inside the VR Headset. the sound on this is super amazing but if you want the true experience i recommend a good Headset. I use the Arctis 7P+ wireless headset and its nice. the sound, the Dolby and the movements just feels so smooth. i recommend it. the rollercoaster is far my all time favorite, i love how everything is just so organized. movies on this like YouTube, Netflix will blow your mind out the water. connecting to my pc and steam is a huge plus and over 1000 plus vr games . <3 the only 1 dislike i don't like at all about this headset, is the battery life but that's okay with me because its already Off the Charts of being the best headset Of 2022. Purchased to play beat saber. Graphics are awesome, and really nice to not have a bunch of wires. Much nicer experience than playstation VR. I would highly recommend this product to anyone interested in VR. I would also recommend the bobovr m2 pro+ elite strap with battery to not only extend battery life, but to balance the unit not making it so front heavy. Also, the nexigo charging dock.

What an amazing experience you will get with this oculus headset. Travel the world and never leave your living room. Battle aliens and zombies. There is some thing for young and older like. I have never been a fan of video games. But when we saw this headset we decided to give it a try. My wife and I are hooked. Amazing. We showed our uncle who is 78 and he bought one too. He loves to travel the world from his recliner. With that said I can’t give it five stars because of the customer service. These headsets are fragile and break easy. If you drop it you will be getting it repaired. The Oculus warranty is basically no warranty at all. If something happens to your headset on the sea you might as well buy a new one. Now with that said getting the Best Buy warranty is a must! It should be required when you buy this. You can basically just walk in and they will replace it no questions asked.

This is the best VR headset out there. Easy to set up. Lots of fun for all ages. If you are brand new to VR, try to ween your self on to it, playing more and more at a time. If not, you could get motion sickness.

I absolutely LOVE this system as far as how it works. I love that you don’t need to be hooked up to a computer to use it but you can get a cable to link it to your computer for steam VR games through Virtual Desktop. If you want games that are on Steam VR and not in the Meta store. I haven’t had any issues with battery life so far. Giving 4 stars because of how awkward /uncomfortable the headset is as-is. The head strap provided is awful. The front headpiece is too heavy so it falls down no matter how adjusted and puts all kinds of pressure on the head/face. I got a comfort pro strap and that helped a little bit but not much. I just got a full pro strap with battery backup for Christmas from my husband to go with it and that is so much more comfortable! The battery on the back helps to even out the weight from the front so I can actually wear it for more than 15 minutes without getting a headache or my face aching for hours. He also got me the prescription lenses that fit onto the eye pieces so I don’t have to wear my glasses and that is also a huge help. So the system itself is 5 stars but the comfort that is provided for the cost is 2-3 stars at best. If you get this system, definitely plan on paying the money to get the elite comfort straps with battery backup to make it wearable for more than 15-20 minutes.
**Note: strap attached that I love is BOBOVR M2 Pro. I also have the Regular Elite Strap but it didn’t work nearly as well as this one for comfort but the Elite strap is better than the one provided with the Quest.

Meta Quest 2: Your Go-To VR Hangout

The Meta Quest 2? It’s pretty much what you’d want in a VR headset. It’s got a sleek design that doesn’t feel like you’re strapping a brick to your face, and it’s easy to just throw on and chill in another world.
The app selection is solid. You’ve got everything from epic adventures to chill-out experiences, and it’s always growing. The controllers are on point, too—responsive and easy to use, so you’re not fumbling around when you’re deep in the game.
The sound is more immersive than you’d expect. It’s not just background noise; it’s like you’re inside the game, which is pretty cool.
And yeah, you can connect it to your PC for even more games, which is a nice bonus. It’s not the most high-end VR out there, but it’s versatile and fun, which is what matters.
It’s not without its quirks—the battery life on the controllers could be better, and the graphics are good, not great. But when it comes down to it, the Quest 2 is about kicking back and having a good time, and it delivers.

Love this thing! The first week i had to play in sessions due to motion sickness, but I've been able to endure longer play times once i was used to it. Very functional, expansive app library, controls make sense and some of my favorite games are currently getting VR adaptations, which only makes me more excited. Highly recommend!

I’d been wanting a good VR headset for years, finally decided to treat myself to one and I very much stand by my decision. I’ve been able to improve my fitness by playing beatsaber, I’ve travelled to places I’ve never been irl, connected with my sister who owns a headset who lives in another country, so many positives.

Oculus and VR will replace big screen TVs

Right now, Oculus is the leader in virtual reality.
The headset is a little heavy (17.7 oz), preventing users from using it for long periods of time. That being said, some nice features are the ability to use Netflix, Google Search, YouTube and a bunch of other free 3-D content. When VR starts to develop more, look out for headsets replacing just about everything visual, including big screen TVs.

I’ve been using this for the past 3 days so far no complaints. You might run into lagging issues with pcvr but nothing google can fix. Played Half Life alyx beat saber and some ve chat flawlessly. I did run into issues where I couldn’t move my fingers in VRchat for pcvr but I’m working on fixing that. Thanks for the amazing product!

What are you doing I always been interested in VR, but didn't know how to get started. I thought about purchasing this, but didn't know the requirements for peripherals and accessories. After researching, I went into the store and smoke with a Best buy representative who help me make a decision. I decided to purchase. After purchasing, I then learned that I did not have to have a monthly subscription to many of the apps. So I purchased a few apps that will motivate me to get up off of my rear and move, as well as a few puzzle apps. I purchase apps that takes me to places I have never been to without leaving my home. Although it's not the real thing, it's as close as I'm going to get at this time. I love it! The only problem is I can go days without using it when I am preoccupied with other tasks. This makes me think perhaps I should have waited, because now they're coming out with a newer version. I also know that newer doesn't always mean better. But, we shall see.

VR headset for the mainstream

Absolutely awesome mind blowing experience! The Quest 2 is definitely brings VR to the mainstream in terms of hardware and software. It is easy to setup and a pleasure to use. The guardian safety software feature is genius. You can optionally use the headset for pcvr and have a game library separate from the Oculus store if that is what you prefer.
Hardware wise, the headset and controllers feel high quality. It does not have that cheap plastic feel. The controllers are ergonomic but are good for small to medium sized hands. The thumbsticks are a tad small for me and can be a bit larger. The headset is front heavy and can be tricky to adjust the strap to be comfortable. The display looks great and has no screen door effect. The included glasses spacer works as stated if you meet the requirements and you are careful when putting the headset on/off. The Quest 2 now comes with a silicone cover which is good for hygiene and easy to clean.
While the Quest 2 is good headset overall but there are some caveats to keep in mind. The head strap is not the best and it is almost necessary to get a 3rd party strap. The field of view is narrow but not a deal breaker. Only having 3 IPD settings is not great, a slider would have been ideal. People with small noses will have a "nose gap" that allows light to leak inside the headset which can break immersion, a 3rd party face cover with a nose flap can help with that. Perhaps the biggest gripe is the Facebook account requirement. While I understand that there are those who want to use their headset as they see fit, you won't get that when Facebook is involved.
My final thoughts is that I'm thoroughly impressed with what Oculus brought to the table. The relaunch of the Quest 2 feels like a great deal when they increased the storage to 128gb. I can already see myself putting a ton of use into the Quest 2.
