I've been a HUGE fan of this show for years now. So, when my season 1 copy got smashed, I needed to quickly replace it. I can't explain how perfect this show is. Give it a shot if you love hilarious jokes and metal.

The amazing exploits of Dethklok are full of gruesome fun

I was always apprehensive about this show, being a real death metal musician. I was worried they would be making fun of metal and that was about all would be in the show. I was so pleasantly suprised to find the attention to detail in the music, the bands equipment, everything. You can really tell the creators are metal heads too. The music is good, vocals could be deeper, but then you couldnt understand him, and that would defeat the comic purpose. One of my favorite things are the references to actually metal bands, From Dimmu Burger to Fintroll's grocery store, theres a lot of references. My favorite is actuall from season 2 where a hillbilly yells out "im a lunatic of gods creation." This show is a classic and can be apprecicated by anyone but this is really a show by metalheads, for metalheads.

This is an absolutely hilarious show from adultswim. Even if you aren't into metal it is still very funny. The show centers around a metal rock band called Dethklok and their adventures. The humor is both overt and subtle and is best watched with the subtitles on so that you catch everything the characters are saying as well as the lyrics to the songs they sing. Loaded with lots of easter egg special features. The episodes are only about 11 minutes each and although short, are perfectly timed. I wouldn't want them any shorter or longer. I can't wait for the second season.

The greatest metal band in the world, Dethklok has now come to DVD. This show does contain lots of Dark humor, so it may offend people that are robots. And the music is better than most real bands out there. Pick up the cd too. Now why should you buy this? Simple: See Dethklok awaken a Lake Troll named Mustakrakish(where my name came from), adpot a child, try stand-up, make the first underwater album for fish and more great episdoes. This is defintely something to check out.

I wasn't even a metal fan before this and now I have a shirt, their cd, and this DVD. I used to flip by when it was on but then I happened to catch the last episode of the season and it had me thinking WTF is going on I need to see more. So I did and I had to watch some episodes more than once but now I understand the band and I can't stop laughing, I have a DVR and I still buy the seasons. I was dissapointed with the censors but I feel it keeps the feel of the show.

Metalocalypse is a very entertaining show if you like metal or play a rock instument or in a band. if you are not you will not get alot of the jokes but im both and on most of the episodes i cant stop laughing

I am impressed with how they handled this show. It's got to be one of the best things to come out of Cartoon Network's [adultswim] lineup in awhile. I just love the satirical style and seemingly rediculous plot lines. Any fan of metal music no matter how hard you rock, just alittle bit or death metal to the extreme, will enjoy this show.

I bought this set last week because there was nothing good on TV. This season is hilarious. I cant wait for season 3 to come out so I can add that to my collection. This season has some of the best episodes on it.

This is one of the best Dvd season I've ever purchased. The special features couldnt be any funnier. They are kinda hidden so if you don't know where they are keep looking.

Brendon Small is a genius. If you enjoyed "Home Movies" and are a fan of Black Metal Comedy (is that even an existing genre?) then you'll love "Metalocalypse" (a.k.a. DethKlok).

Definitely great for fans of the Adult Swim show. Has a special kind of humor that almost always includes ultra violence, morbid dialog and dark jokes.

I bought this first day out and expected it to be uncensored like the box said, but NO! this thing is till censored as ever. I suggest you just watch the show on TV or download the episodes cause you aint missin much with this dvd, same guitar sounded bleeps and black bars.
