never write these reviews. This keyboard was purchased on June 9 (best buy on line) . it is great , comfortable
BUT I didnt buy the protection plan.. who knew most of the white LETTERS on the left side would be off by Jan but that is what has happened with MODERATE daily use ... 4 letters are no longer there
no , ive not got long nails, or reptile skin .. they are gone .
so how in the world do I address this ??? with MS or with Best Buy??

Disappointed after 1.5 years

I've had this for 1.5 years and used it about 5 days a week in my job in IT. Some of the letters started rubbing off after a year. That's way too soon for a quality keyboard. The primary mouse button (left) also started malfunctioning at 1.5 years of use.
I bought this keyboard to help with wrist pain and the layout worked very well. When placed at a proper height, this is a very ergonomic keyboard.
The other downside to this keyboard is the function keys. Having a switch that alternates their use doesn't work well. I would much prefer a function key to be pressed to get alternate functionality like volume control.
The dongle sticks out a lot more than the ones that logitec make. I always take it out of my laptop when I leave my office because I'm afraid it will break off.

Bought this feb 2022. I use it 5 days a week for work and some of the letters are faded or gone completely. The mouse has started to malfunction too. Ill click on something to drag it and it double clicks or im teying to hight light a bunch of docs and it unhighlights half the stuff and starts again half way through. Very frustrating. It should last longer.

This would be a great keyboard if the letters didn't start coming off after only six months of use. Subpar, Microsoft!

For gaming you can feel it disconnected couple times.
For office is good.
The biggest concern is the key labels is already gone after 2months . Keys A and S labels disappeared.
The window button on mouse is good

The first item I received was DOA and had a bad key that didn't register unless I pressed it hard. I contacted Microsoft support & they sent me a replacement with no hassles. First off, I've always been a fan of Microsoft keyboards as I prefer they're ergonomic curved keyboards. I purchased this keyboard to replace a very old Microsoft Wireless Laser Desktop 7000. The old keyboard still worked perfectly, but started to look dated due to cosmetics. Let me say that I haven't regretted my purchase. The mouse that comes with this set is still sitting in it's box as I have a different mouse that I prefer that is more functional.
Pros:
1) Keyboard is very comfortable to type on for extended hours of use.
2) Keyboard keys are very quiet
3) Each keyboard is paired with the receiver using AES encryption which means that no keys can be logged by hackers
Cons:
1) Because each keyboard is paired with its receiver using encryption, it cannot be paired with any other receiver. This means that if you lose your receiver, you won't be able to pair it with any other receivers and will render it useless.
2) I wish the keyboard had an additional row of keys for hotkeys/shortcut keys. As an advanced user, I frequently use the traditional F1-F12 keys for various Windows functions. There is a switch on the keyboard that toggles between the F keys to the hotkeyss/shortcut keys which can be a pain to switch back and forth. It would have been nice to have dedicated play/pause, volume up & down buttons, ect.
3) Only a few of the F1-F12 hotkeys are configurable. Please allow me to customize all 12 keys!
Overall, I'm still happy with the keyboard and the price was very affordable.

Great Keyboard/Mouse Combo

This was a replacement for the keyboard that came with my desktop. I needed wireless and ergo. The keys do not have that "clacky" sound to them which is nice. I originally bought the floor model thinking I could save a few bucks, but I had to take that one back. Got a new one and have not had any issues.

I have been using this keyboard and mouse combo since the beginning of May 2020. To this point I have been very pleased with this purchase. I feel like the keyboard strokes are much quieter than on traditional keyboards I have used in the past. The mouse feels very precise and is smooth to use. An old corded mouse not working well was one of my reasons to look into this keyboard/mouse. I love not having to deal with the cords. Would recommend this for anyone looking to upgrade or replace their keyboard/mouse.

The summary says it all! Bought this to replace my home office Microsoft Comfort Curve 2000. I use a CC 3000 as my work keyboard.
The 2000 was about on the fritz as it was responding weirdly. Decided not to struggle with it anymore and buy a wireless combo. BOY was this a great decision. I wanted another ergo keyboard, but was a bit skeptical about the split space bar. I was worried about nothing. I absolutely love this thing and whenever we end up going back into the office, I'm getting one for there too!

The keyboard is very adequate and the price was right! I had not owned an ergonomic keyboard before so it took a little getting used to, but I had decided a change for me was needed. No problem; easy to adapt. I particularly like the accompanying mouse; it is nicely weighted and comfortable to use.
