Great Keyboard if you like them split

Personally, I think this is the most comfortable keyboard I have ever used. I had an elite pro split that was about 15 years old (because it is hard to find a good one!) and moving to this made that keyboard look like a pile of junk! Very soft and responsive. Again, excellent product.

Very happy with the fit and finish of this keyboard. I used to use the old Microsoft ergonomic keyboards years ago and this is leaps and bounds ahead of them. The material is top notch fabric and worth the splurge.

    Premium Quality and Feel

This product gives you a premium quality and feel for a keyboard. But, like all ergonomic keyboards, it only works if you're willing to put in the time to adjust your typing style to meet it's construction. The key push nicely and are snappy/responsive. Connects well/easily to the computer.

This is a great keyboard. good feel. I prefer this layout compared to Microsoft's other natural keyboard layout. I really like that the numeric keypad is attached. Only wish would be for back lighting on the keys.

    Comfortable Ergonomic Keyboard, Minor Quirks

I purchased this keyboard as the logical upgrade from the previous model offered from Microsoft, the Sculpt Ergonomic Keyboard. This is incredibly comfortable to use and the key travel/mechanism was exactly what I was looking for after using a Surface Laptop and loving the feel of that device's keyboard. There's two quirks with this keyboard, first being that the number pad is part of the primary keyboard, vs. being a separate part with the previous model, which gives it a larger footprint if you don't need it. The second is the Bluetooth connectivity, which frees you from needing a USB dongle, but the way Microsoft's devices tend to go to sleep it feels like it takes too long for the device to wake up and reconnect with your PC/Mac/device.

    Comfortable keyboard, some drawbacks

Like most things electronic, when this works as designed, it's smooth as silk. The keyboard is very comfortable and the shape is elegantly slim and easy to use on a desktop, on the lap, across one knee, etc. That being said, I should say that I am using this with a PC that does not have Bluetooth -- so I use a dongle for the hookup. Bear in mind that, with a setup like this , rebooting the PC involves attaching a USB keyboard to get through the boot sequence. The dongle does not seem to activate until after the initial boot. Occasionally, the Bluetooth connection drops out. This may be the dongle's fault (who knows?), but I can generally bring it back by disabling then enabling the Bluetooth connection in the Control Panel.

If you are looking for a bluetooth wireless ergo keyboard for a Mac, look no further. It works well with a Mac even though it says not supported. You will see that it doesn't show up as a keyboard but I'm typing this review just fine.

    Great But Lacks Smart Switch

Great compact and ergonomic design. Its sleek style and color blends well with my Apple products. Works seamlessly once paired, but the only reason I don’t give this a five is that unlike the Microsoft - Bluetooth Ergonomic Mouse it doesn’t have smart switching for seamless operation and pairing with more than one device. When switching computers I have to pair the device every time, it only takes a few seconds, but a keyboard of this quality and price point should have the smart switching built in to program and pair with more than one device like the mouse. As well, at this point with so many Apple users using MS keyboard and mouse products, Microsoft should have a MAC version of their Mouse and Keyboard Center

I previously had a Microsoft Ergonomic keyboard, and then decided it was time to update what I was using. Moving to this keyboard has worked great and not having a wire tethered to the computer has been wonderful. I would recommend this keyboard.

Overall a good keyboard. I still accidentally hit the wrong keys because the keyboard is divided in half. Over a month on the original batter still. Sync with surface device was very smooth and easy.

I just bought this one today and returned the Sculpt Keyboard. I love it! It's very sleek. The color is professional looking. And the ergonomics is wonderful. It was easy to pair with my laptop. And it has been easy to type even with the keys slightly separated. I have nothing bad to say about it thus far, but I do wish it was on sale. $129 plus tax is quite a bit. Overall I am pleased with my purchase.

Very easy to adapt to and I find it comfortable for a full day’s use. Looks great and has several nice little touches such as the shortcut keys for settings and the notifications panel. No problems connecting to HP Spectre x360.

Love the feel of this keyboard. It's solid and well constructed. Nice texture on the keys and the surface below the keyboard; much better the plastic/rubbery feel you get on other keyboards. The only drawback for me is it is a bit of adjustment to get used to the split keyboard if you haven't used one before. I'm sure it's just a muscle memory thing and that I will be able to make the adjustment. It's only an issue for me for the keys next to the break and then mostly on for the keys on the number row. Overall, very happy with this keyboard.

I bought this to replace a Microsoft 4000 Ergonomic keyboard, which I've always loved, but unfortunately, it doesn't come in a wireless model. At work, I got a new sit/stand setup that would've made having a corded keyboard difficult. Having used other Surface branded peripherals, I thought I'd give this one a try. It did not disappoint. I do miss having the wrist riser that the 4000 has on the front, but other than that, it's a fantastic keyboard. Comfortable to type on for long periods of time, maintains a good connection, and supports the split layout that I like. My only other complaint is that the Alcentara wrist rest area does get dirty quickly.

Ive been using this keyboard for almost a year now and am as happy with it as on day 1. The ergonomics are great (no wrist pain), it has all the features you need (10 key), and the keys make a satisfying but not to loud clack when pressed.

I love this keyboard. I didn't know there was a specific 'surface' ergonomic keyboard. I already own a Microsoft ergonomic keyboard, but mine was wired. this keyboard is sooooo cool in it that it has a cloth feeling to my wrists. I love the sleak design and how I have one less wire at my desk.
