Fantastic Mobile Keyboard
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So, here I am typing on my Surface Keyboard, and it feels really nice. Seriously, it feels like one of the best keyboards I have typed on in a long time. I think I’ll have to type on it for a little bit to figure out exactly how to type on it, but I like the key travel, and I like how solid it feels. To be sure, it is most definitely a chiclet-style keyboard, and for gaming can not match my Logitech gaming keyboard and mouse, but it feels better than any Mac keyboard for sure. It even feels nicer than the keyboard on my Surface Book 2, which is saying something. As far as laptop keyboards, it’s hard to find a better keyboard than the Surface Laptops, but I think this Surface Keyboard may take the crown. It has plenty of keys, including a calculator key, which I find extremely handy, and it has a full keypad on the right-hand side. This is extremely convenient for me. I can not stress how many times I have needed the calculator, looking for the short cut on the keyboard, and it’s nowhere to be found. The keypad works well too, and the connection via Bluetooth is solid. I’ve used other keyboards where when typing a key may repeat multiple times causing letters to streak across the screeeeeeeeeeen while typing. (I repeated the keystroke multiple times manually for effect) This has not been a problem with the Surface Keyboard. It also has all the keys you would expect, such as brightness, volume control, playback, print screen, and even a button reserved for pulling up the settings screen. There’s also a button for pulling up notifications, minimizing screens, locking the computer, and a large button to take a screen-shot. (PrtScn) For office work and productivity, this keyboard has pretty much everything you could want. I’m also using the Surface Mouse. I had the Surface Mobile Mouse but returned it. The mouse was too flat for my liking and felt a little cheap. The Surface Mouse, which I actually got for $29.99, same price as the Mobile Mouse, is larger, feels more substantial, and has an overall better feel for my large hands. Obviously the Precision Mouse is the king of the crop, top of the line, but it was too large for my use. I find the Surface Mouse to be the Goldi Locks of the bunch. Just right for getting the job done. I’m trying to complete my mobile workstation, and I think I’m close to finishing it. I have a SurfaceBook 2, Lepow Mobile Monitor, Surface Keyboard, and Surface Mouse. This group of products seems to enable a superior typing experience, precision when using the pointer, and enough screen realestate to write documents, do research, and accomplish much while being on the go. I change desks multiple times a day, go from work, to home, to the Library, all while needing to accomplish my doctoral work. With this set up, I’m able to do my work just as well no matter my location. In fact, this set up seems to be my preferred way to work even compared to have multiple full-size monitors. I own a 32” LG 4k Monitor that is spectacular and an AOC gaming monitor, and they have their place. LG for editing videos and photos and the AOC for gaming, but this set up is more intimate, versatile, mobile, and efficient. The power I’m drawing from using these devices is minimal. Certainly, one of the best ways to accomplish academic tasks I have found, period. In summary, using the Surface Book 2 as a laptop is a great experience. However, it pales in comparison to using a proper keyboard and mouse. For basic tasks, there is no reason to hook up an external monitor, keyboard, and mouse; however, for doing doctoral work, it almost seems to be a must in accomplishing work efficiently and expediently. I would recommend this set up to anyone who needs a powerful workstation on the go that doesn’t want to compromise versatility, power, and productivity for mobility.

Excellent device, love typing on it
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you like typing on a laptop keyboard, which I do, they'll love this device. It's super thin, light, and the fact it runs on 2 AA batteries is perfect. The bluetooth connection works well without any drop outs on the end of the keyboard (one of my laptops has shoddy bluetooth and everything drops on that, but my other laptop is top of the line and never once have I had an issue after over a month of use). It's worth the price if you want something thin, light and aren't into mechanical keyboards. I actually came to this device from a mechanical keyboard, but with the stay at home order for the pandemic, my wife required I NOT share an office with such a loud keyboard. This has been a great replacement.

Excellent Alternative to the Apple Keyboard
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am using this with a MacBook Pro because I wanted a Bluetooth keyboard with a numeric keypad. My previous keyboard was the mac bluetooth model but it was lacking the keypad. The Surface keyboard has very good key travel and feel. It's comparable to the mac wired keyboard and to my Logitech K810. The only thing it is lacking is the ability to pair to multiple devices. Also, the construction is top-notch.

Surface Typing Experience with a Surface
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this keyboard after using several different keyboards in the past but never really enjoying the experience of typing. I have owned a Surface Pro 3, 2017 and currently a Pro 8 so I am familiar with the experience. This keyboard definitely matches the experience that I am familiar with the fill and function. This is a must have for individuals that may not be able to use their Surface devices for work/school but really want that experience.

Well worth it
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I saw this in a store once and it was on my mind ever since. I couldn't justify the price, but I think I got it on sale and it was definitely worth it. If you're on the fence, go for it. It's not for everyone (I have a mechanical keyboard for my work computer) but for a family computer, this is a great mix of quality and usability. The keys feel great and the battery life is amazing.

Close to perfect - still worth buying.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As I am doubling down on my WFH game, a solid Bluetooth keyboard was important as it liberated the sole USB drive on my OG Surface Laptop and saved the step of locating and inserting a USB dongle. In comes a deal on the Surface Keyboard and mouse. Per usual Surface standards, the packaging, build, and look are top-notch. Pairing was a breeze and within seconds I was typing away. When connected, typing is a joy. The feel is solid, weighty, and nimble. Two points of consideration for potential buyers: 1. If you equally value Fn keys and action keys (volume, pause, brightness etc.), keep in mind you'll be toggling frequently. I've almost developed the requisite muscle memory, but, on version 2 I'd be happy to compromise on a larger footprint for separate action keys. 2. Connectivity can be spotty at times. It may take a second to register when the computer starts. It rarely loses connection during use, however, it has been annoying enough a couple of times. There is a Bluetooth button on the left side of the stand, that, when held, initiates discovery mode. It doesn't function as a power switch, however. As such, the device is "always-on" and wakes up when it connects. Overall, the surface keyboard + mouse has enhanced my WFH life and though the drawbacks are significant, I've adjusted to them.

One of my favorite wireless keyboards for Linux
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fantastic keyboard if you're not a Mac user but want a keyboard with a similar build quality and key feel to an Apple keyboard. I liked this keyboard so much that I spend a bit contributing proper key mappings to the freedesktop.org (which were merged) so it would work as expected on Linux desktops. You can't go wrong with this or the Logitech MX Keys (if you need it to work on 3 devices).

works perfectly w/ my surface
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My original keyboard failed, and I mainly use OneNote on the road - I've been leaving keyboard & mouse at home or in the car and it's been great. Pros: - Excellent keystroke and size. - Full number pad w/ calc shortcut - Best keyboard I've used for the surface. Cons: - Cannot lockout the Insert key (which is right next to the Backspace Key, and does not have an indicator led like ScrLk or NumLk). - Wish that it was backlit

Fantastic Keyboard
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had been looking for a new blue tooth keyboard due to my carpal tunnel problems. The smallness of laptop keyboards had me hurting. I love this soft-touch larger than a laptop keyboard. It is great to have my numbers for all my excel spreadsheets and all the great shortcuts. I love this keyboard and highly recommend it.

Good keyboard, not perfect
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this keyboard because I heard amazing things about how it types. It does feel soft to type on however the keyboard sometimes has a mind of its own and it seems to maybe shut off for a few seconds before working again as if it is making sure you are still using it. It is kind of annoying but I put up with that because I just love how the keyboard types.
