I purchased a Surface Pro as an alternative to Wacom's Cintiq tablet. I wanted something that I could be completely portable with but still be able to use Photostop/Corel Painter on. The Surface Pro did exactly that, it runs smooth and Photoshop doesn't seem to lag when I use it with the Surface pen and it reads the pen pressure. I'm very satisfied with my purchase. I would also recommend buying a matte screen protector as the matte cuts down on glare and it helps the surface pen slide on the surface much smoother!

The wife was as desperate in her need to replace her aging MacBook Pro as I was in not dropping big money this Xmas. With bestbuy's significant price reductions for the holiday, we both got our wish. The new MacBook is lightening fast and the screen is a marked improvement over her last one. It seems the battery is lasts much longer too.

I couldn't decide between a laptop and a tablet, getting the surface was the right choice. I love it, it's perfect for me. it's light, portable, fast. I bought an open box at a great price. No regrets.

Very good lightweight easy to use laptop. Purchased to replace an ultraportable and this one is even more portable! Easy to setup and very light to travel with. Best of all it serves as a great laptop and tablet.

I bought this item for my husband for his birthday. I did a lot of research into it. It has a nice storage capacity. He also purchased more cloud storage for his photographs. He likes the ability to write on it too. It looks really sharp with the accessories in the matching color. He likes the graphics and screen display as well.

I have had this device for the a little over 30 days. I mainly use it for media consumption (Netflix, YouTube, etc.), note taking (one note), and Microsoft office suite. I own a home based business and need portability, flexibility, and great battery. The Surface 2017 has hit all the right buttons. My only issue is the device can get pretty pricey due to no essential peripherals such as the keyboard and pen are not included. For less money I would recommend the surface laptop if you don't have a need for the Surface Pen. But if you want portability and flexibility to use your device almost anywhere then the core i5 256gb trim is the Surface to go with. I love it!

This is a great computer. It is fast, easy to use and is lite compared to other laptops. I use it as a laptop, not as a tablet but having tablet functionality is good.

There is no other computer/tablet with so much functionality and versatility built into such a small device. It works great, really easy to just pick up and go, perfect as a tablet or a laptop. I can't think of any con. I tried, but for my needs, I think it's the best.

This tablet/notebook hasn't even come close to letting me down. I can play every game I have wanted to. Sketchbook pro is awesome on it and personally I don't think there is any comparison. Best you can buy.

I love my new Microsoft Surface Pro. It's light and thin, great for traveling. Easy to use, boots up fast. Touch pad and touch screen. Two [2] cameras. I'm hooked.

This is not my first surface Pro, its my 3rd. Have worked with nothing better for easy carry, features and productivity. With the docking station, internet programs and Google Drive, this small laptop can do any business functions. I have no negative comments.

Needed a portable laptop that didn't take up a lot of space, yet be able to run all the latest programs and then some. I've owned plenty of laptops over the years, but they all tend to have 2 issues. Battery life and size. This Ultrabook from MIcrosoft blew me away. Due to have an Solid State Drive and the first Intel 5 Processor device with no fan, this ultrabook which can be a tablet or laptop has great battery life and a fairly fast processor. The only knock I can see is the fact that you have to buy the magnetically attached keyboard separately.

This is by far the best computer/tablet available. I truly love the surface I been having one since they came out. They are capable of doing everything you need for school/work/fun. If you don’t have one I totally recommend you getting one ASAP !

I've had the last two Surface Pro's and find them to be the best Windows machine out there. This version has none of the past issues - ie wake from sleep. Versatility and portability are key for me, and the Surface Pro fits the bill perfectly.

I bought same model last year and have been very pleased. Bought this one for her and she said "I love it". It's fast, light and easy to use.

Ironically writing this review on the laptop. I would say this is the best option for a laptop currently on the market. It offers a lot of options and a multitude of programs that take advantage of it's touch-screen use, while also maintaining the power to run well as a PC. It multi-tasks well, never slowing down even if your highly demanding from it. I guess the only minor take away is the keyboard and battery life. This is kind-of offered as a laptop first, but you have to buy the keyboard separately which is annoying. Battery life seems to drain a tad bit faster than I would like, however I do depend a lot from it when I use it. So just make sure you carry your charger/at full charge to start your day. Tablet mode runs well too, although the touch keyboard can be a bit awkward. All in all, 9/10 system.

I bought this during Black Friday weekend, even though it was not one of the items on sale. I took it home and tested it out. This particular device had a flaw that caused it to go to sleep randomly during use. I installed all the Microsoft Windows updates and for some reason it did not patch the problem on my device. I promptly returned it to Best Buy for a full refund. I then found the same item from Microsoft on a Black Friday discount and figured a product directly from them would be patched already. The Surface Pro I got from the Black Friday sale on Microsoft came with a keyboard which was a savings of another $150. I love the product and if the patch had worked I would not have returned it. The one I got from Microsoft themselves doesn't have the random hibernation issue. I would recommend this product to any digital artist. Just be mindful that you will have to install the updates before using because there is the random hibernation issue that the updates will patch.
