I love my surface pro 3, I tell everyone I meet to buy one. The Geek squad was very helpful and was extra careful when applying my surface protector. The only issue I have is not being able to watch my downloaded movie on the plane. I will be stopping to chat with the Geek squad before my next flight.

To preface this, I use this primarily for school and personal use but I also use it at my job. I work as a clerk/courier at a law firm. I love it. I had a Dell Venue Pro 11 about for about 2 weeks because it seemed like a cheaper alternative. It was cheaper but it was horrible. I returned it and bought this and I have nothing but praise for it.Amazing product from Microsoft. This is the first tablet that can actually replace a laptop AND a desktop (with the proper accessories). Although you have to pay a hefty price for these accessories.
- Dock: $179
- Pro Keyboard Cover: $129
- Necessary Wires: ~$40
The screen is gorgeous. It really is startlingly beautiful when you get have a wallpaper with the proper resolution. Pictures look great. Very useful for editing pictures.
The stylus is paramount. It makes this possibly hard-to-adjust-to tablet into a perfect replacement. The stylus is perfectly responsive and writes just like a pen. This makes short note taking very easy and useful.
Now the bad things: It is very expensive and all the accessories are expensive as well. But anything cheaper does not even compare so it is ultimately worth the price. You gotta pay to play. It is tad bit glitchy as far as the Bluetooth and some keyboard issues but it's very minimal and doesn't change how wonderful it is. The wifi also had some issues in the beginning but I believe there have been updates that fixed these issues. Also the sound is pretty bad because the built in stereo speakers are awful and not too loud.
Just buy it...

I have been using my Surface Pro 3 every day for about 2 months now. It has completely replaced my laptop and my tablet. I Purchased the dock and the keyboard and use this as my main workstation at work as well as on the road.
Powerful enough to run full version of PhotoShop and some light gaming. (World of Warcraft on low settings).
A few years ago it became normal for many users to replace an aging desktop computer with an equivalent laptop. I think the time has come now when most users will benefit more by replacing their main device with a Surface Pro 3. It truly is a full replacement for a work laptop. Better battery life, touch screen and pen integration make it a natural progression.
Add a 128 Gb Micro-SD and use OneDrive or drop-box for virtually unlimited storage. My Surface Pro 3 is the best mobile computing tool I have owned to date. Great device and top shelf build quality make the Surface Pro 3 stand apart from other lower cost options. You get what you pay for, Microsoft has a winner this time.

I was hesitant to purchase the entry level version of the Microsoft Surface Pro 3. Now that I have had it; there are no regrets. There is more than enough power for all my needs. I have been running Photoshop and CAD without any issues. Both of which require a lot of processing power. The storage is only 64GB but there is a microSD slot and I just happened to have a 64GB microSD card sitting around...Now I have 128GB. Ta da! Very happy with this device. So I say..save your money and go with the Core i3 64GB version.

My company places 10 or more of these tablets with blind, low-dision and physically disabled clients every month. They are completely portable tablet/laptop/desktop systems. On the go, you have the touch keyboard for basic usage. When at home you cam use the USB 3 for all of your favorite devices and even hook up to a large screen tv as a monitor. We even do speech recognition with them for our users who have trouble typing.

My daughter loves this for school. It's portable, lightweight and doesn't take up much room in her backpack. Especially when she has her big text books. She likes the idea of the pen & notes for taking notes on the fly.

(I sound like the commercial)... but really. I do love it. It's lightweight; very powerful and it's easy to use. I code on it, play games and surf the web.. never a delay. The only downside I've found is that under certain circumstances the back of the unit tends to get very hot. (Especially when playing HearthStone :-)

I love the versatility of this thing. I needed a computer for college classes that was thin and light, but still powerful and able to run full desktop applications for class. This offers the convenience of a tablet with the power of a laptop that would typically be too cumbersome to bother lugging around.

I'm not tech savvy and dreaded having to set this up by myself. But it was so easy and uncomplicated. I love it; it's light weight, portable, easy to use, battery lasts a long time between charging and, in my opinion, better than a laptop.

I've been waiting for the right time to pick up a Surface Pro and the earlier Best Buy promotion for trading in a working tablet for a $50 gift card + $150 credit towards a new Surface Pro was the opportunity I had been waiting for. My Surface Pro 3 has an i3 processor and though it's slightly bigger than the earlier versions, it is still light and compact enough to carry while having the necessary computing power for most applications. One word of caution....be careful with the charging connection. Though it's better than my previous Surface R/T (i.e. easier to connect and stay put), others have reported fraying and cracking at the tablet end if the cable is frequently bent or kinked.

My old laptop was on the fritz and I decided to upgrade to something better. I'm currently in nursing school, and this was a great investment. Easy to carry to class, and works great. Has excellent battery life (which is important during 8hour lecture days when there's no opportunity to charge). I haven't had a single problem with this and it does everything I need it to and more.

I have been putting off on purchasing this for a while; mainly because of price. I have been taking my iPad around for a while but mainly for a paper wait. Seriously I have only used it four times in 12 months. I finally bit the bullets and boy was I happy. I say was because it was stolen in less than two weeks. So I bit the bullet and purchased another one I am using this device every day and even converting Mac users into windows 8 users. I use it for everything business pleasure and leisure.

I'm an artist, a songwriter, Karaoke DJ, and business owner. The Surface Pro 3 allows me to keep up with all my activities no matter which one I'm doing at the present moment. I don't have to carry my sketch book or lyric book anymore. My karaoke program and business programs are all hubbed onto one device so even when I'm away from the office I'm not far away. With OneDrive all of my music is stored on the cloud with my business documents for easy access. The Surface Pro 3 is probably the most capable and dependable out of all my devices and I'm really happy that I bought it.

I was hoping the price would come down. Great tablet, fast internet. I wish it had more than one USB port. I am still trying to get used to it, as I have been using a laptop for the last 5 years. It is light weight and does not get hot like my laptop. Battery last a long time also, unlike my laptop.

The last laptop you will ever need. It have lot of room for upgrade if needed. The accessories are bonus to create your on style. Light weight and ready to go right out of the box. I do suggestion you buy the Microsoft glass screen protector to protect you screen if you are a heavy pen user so you won't damage you computer screen. It offers easy of use anywhere at work, at play and relaxing at home. The combination laptop and table is awesome. Front and Rear camera take good pictures make a few adjustment preference and it will be fine.

The claim that the Surface Pro 3 can replace both your laptop and tablet isn't an exaggeration. The battery life is good, it's light, and it's powerful enough. It is expensive though, especially considering the type cover is sold separately.

This laptop goes above and beyond, super convinient, and great features. I feel like it makes everything quick; I could zoom in no time instead of having to use the mouse, etc. only think I'm not the big a fan of is the concept that it's not like a regular laptop where you can fold down to view the screen at a different angle, always have to be sitting down to use it. Can't lay in bed comfortable using it because it needs a flat surface. They should build a case that stands up like a laptop...

I am a IT guy at a car dealership. When the service mgr told me he wanted to replace the notebooks we use to reprogram the car computer's I suggested these. I initially got 1 to test and it has worked great. Its mobile, light, has a normal usb port, and can run all our software packages while programming the cars that come in for service. Since then, we have bought another 5 and urban armour cases. They work fantastically. The mechanics love them. The 64g drive is kind of small, and the processor doesn't blaze. But serves its purpose for running small windows programs and compatible browsers. one of the only issue is the stylus. They have lost 2 of them already. Otherwise the tablets have held up and done a great job in the 6 months we have had them in the shop. The durability was a concern, but so far with the cases they are all still working well. Oh, another issue is its windows 8. But we knew that going in. Nobody likes 8, we just tolerate it. So if you have any business apps that require a real windows OS, but want something smaller than a laptop. This is it.
