I needed a Tablet to work remotely I always buy ipads but this time I took a chance on the Surface Pro, and I was pleasantly surprised! Screen size is great, very responsive and its perfect for work, I also use it for Netflix and Apple TV. I am really impressed with this surface, especially since I can use it as a tablet and a laptop. I am pleased with the weight and size of the Surface, I will definitely will be trying more Surface products in the future.

    Sleek, Portable, Versatile Windows Laptop/Tablet

I needed a sleek, portable and versatile device. Specifically needed a windows operating device. I'm always on the go so carrying my laptop "DELL XPS 17" always ended up being a hassle cause its so big and heavy aswell. I also ride motorcycles so this required something I can easy take on a bike in a back without adding too much weight. I don't do much on this device, mainly just for studying. The detachable keybaord is very convenient at time when i just need to use it as a tablet. Battery life could have been better. I don't have any softwares installed, except for pdf reader. So I'd assume and expect it to give me a better Battery life. I also always use it in balanced battery mode, but still no difference. I'd say I get about 3 to 4 hours. That's about it. I would recommend getting the Microsoft stylus pen and the Microsoft Arc Mouse. They both work via Bluetooth. Battery operated but ling lasting. I'd didn't like how it only came in silver though. So I ordered a vinyl wrap for it to change it's looks. Overall would recommend.

This is my second surface and I still think it's a great machine. The screen is very sharp and the whole system is very light. You can count on it always having the latest version of Windows which you know has actually been tested on the hardware. Now with USB-C which can be used to charge the battery it can be connected to almost infinite number of peripherals. The runtime of the battery is pretty good and I'm hoping it lasts a little longer than the one in my last Surface (3 years)

The surface pro awesome. I prefer the surface over a laptop. The size and weight is perfect. Lot of power packed into that tablet. One thing I hope they add would be a mini hdmi port. For traveling and connecting to other monitors and not having carry around yet another attachment.

When faced with the challenge of having to purchase a new laptop, I was skeptical. I did my research and decided on the Surface Pro 7 and boy did I make the right choice. Reliable, fast, easy to use, hand held features for my reports. All around best purchase I have ever made at Best Buy

So far I’m impressed and enjoy the surface pro . It’s super fast and I love editing photos on Lightroom with the pen. Typing on the keyboard is smooth and easy to type on . Screen resolution is amazing ... if you need something small and it’s quick and ready to go when you need this is the laptop to get ...

I purchased this tablet to use in my real estate business and it has been absolutely amazing. I only have to charge it every 2-3 days, and it’s fully charged within an hour. I usually have it hooked up to my home/work WiFi and when those aren’t available I have it hooked up to my phone hotspot and it still works perfectly fine. I was going to purchase the mouse, but having the keyboard and pen I really don’t see any use for it. It also has the option for facial recognition to unlock the tablet or you can go with a traditional password. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the sound could be a lot better than it is.

My Surface Pro 7 (SP7) had its first blue screen within 30 minutes of the first boot. I hadn't installed anything yet.. I did all the updates and now its having multiple issues. 1. Another Blue screen 2. Random shut off while in use 3. Flickering black screen for periods of 20-60 seconds 4. Slow wifi 5. Sudden stuttering in games that should be a breeze (Diablo II/starcraft 1) about 30 minutes in that continued until restarting. 6. Terrible battery life from advertised. See screenshot attached, the speedtest can never get over 80 megabits on my 400 megabit connection.. and most of the time its between 1 and 20 megabits.. meanwhile my cheap old Chromebook gets the full 400 megabits. Because of the small hard drive (why?? on such an expensive device..) I need to be able to put stuff on my network drive.. but the wifi card is working so poorly its not usable. The battery lasts at most 4.5 hours at 50% brightness - which is using chrome and some YouTube. It lasts as little as 2.5 hours while gaming with brightness up high. It is amazing to me these don't ALL come with keyboards because windows 10 is not there yet with touch support.. several games or even websites I have visited required me to go snap on the keyboard. I love the form factor and really like the kickstand.. so I will return mine and hope for one with less issues before giving up on the surface pro. For now.. I don't see the value and I don't see the reliability/quality. I suspect only some of my issues will be resolved with a replacement. Then there is the long term reliability forecast.. the thing is glued together so you cant replace the battery or hard drive easily and the RAM is soldered to the board.

Exactly what I needed! Portable, fast, touchscreen and easy set up. Cover with pen holder is a must. I was worried I would lose it. Ordered some cute accessories. When I’m in my office I hook it up to a larger monitor and better keypad. Learning how to use the pen.

Surface Pros are really good for when you need a Windows OS with touch screen on the go. Don't expect crazy performance but this device is super handy for students particulay those who have software that can only run on Windows OS. At least 8gb is a must but you can upgrade storage via the Micro SD slot.

    Surface Pro 7 i5 8GB 128GB NVMe = Fail

Where to start... What an extremely disappointing device. Microsoft for some unknown reason installed the slowest NVMe SSD in the latest Surface Pro 7. As seen in the attached screenshot the drive is slower than even the most basic Sata SSD. After owning Surface Pro 4, 5 and 6 models the Surface Pro 7 is a serious step backwards. The included usb-c is a nice addition however it pales in comparison to the overall bad quality of this product. The screen is pretty good with bright vibrant colors however if you use it with the brightness above 50% it will drain the battery quickly. To summarize my experience with the latest Surface Pro 7 i5 model with 128GB drive - MEH If you decide to purchase the latest Surface Pro 7 make sure you get the 256GB model to get the proper NVMe speeds.

The uniqueness of the Surface Pro drew my attention -- not much bigger than a legal pad, very light, and, at the same time, a powerful PC with a tenth generation Intel processor and a more than HD screen. When I saw a Surface Pro 7 with 8 Gigs of memory, 128 Gig storage, and keyboard for $800.00, I just about had to buy one. This PC has really grown on me. Quality is evident in the aluminum construction. The Surface is great for working on one an idea or project just about anywhere with a fully functional suite of Office applications -- something no IOS or Android tablet can do quite as well. The keyboard is a joy to use, backlit and detachable. The trackpad works more than acceptably well, although I usually use a Logitech M535 Bluetooth mouse. The kickstand is very adjustable and very steady. Screen is beautiful I set it most often at 1920 X 1080 rather than full resolution because of some of the apps I use. Boot-up is fast, and the Intel I5 processor is faster than the older 7 on my larger laptop. The Surface gets a bit warm, but not hot, even when I"m running Train Simulator, which, by the way, runs very acceptably. There's no need for a fan. Because the 128 Gig SSD is not huge, I installed a 512 Gig MicroSD that shows up as a D drive. Some apps will run from this drive and the MicroSD adds all the local file storage I need. I don't know if it's even possible to provide 9 or 10 hours worth of power for a PC this powerful and, at the same time, keep the weight and size this low. I believe it's always better to undersell and overprove, and Microsoft has done the opposite here. I would not have been disappointed with the battery life of 5-6 hours I usually experience if Microsoft's claim had not been so much higher. That's the only reason why I didn't award five stars to this otherwise magnificent PC.

This thing has been garbage from the start. It holds a crappy charge. The lcd screen became defective in less than a year. Sent in for a warranty, Microsoft sent back an even more garbage Surface back in a oversized box without padding. Terrible product and horrible manufacturer.
