A Must for all Surface Owners

It's perfect for when you just want to use the Surface Pro like a laptop. Whenever I don't feel like using the key board then I just snap it off. The strong magnets that hook it to the tablet PC make it easy to connect that you could even hook it up in the dark without having to see, it just knows where to go.

Excellent keyboard attachment for Surface Pro! Its really as easy as just hovering the device above the keboard and it will "snap" magnetically in place and immediately allow you to plug and play with no issues. Highly recommended!!

Plug and play, never had an issue with it, I basically replaced my laptop with this tablet because of the keyboard and it protects my screen so I don't need a case.

I purchased a Microsoft surface pro for work conference. But it did not come with a keyboard. I was able to find the keyboard for an open box price on Best buy. It's a great functioning keyboard. Just click and go.

Got this fory small business, it's pretty small and takes some getting used to if you're used to a normal size keyboard but is very portable and good for on the go.

Pros - Feels solid when typing
Cons - Click on the trackpad is very loud, expensive and should have came with the surface
This is a good keyboard that fits your surface perfectly. Only complaint is the sound the track pad makes when you click. You may annoy your entire family while you sit in the living room.
-1 start they should include the base keyboard with the surface.

I’ve used surface keyboards before and love them. This one is no exception. It’s durable, comfortable and I love the key travel. I may take this back in exchange for the one that comes with the pen which I hope functions as well as this one. I do wish this was included with the tablet but still decently priced compared to things like the magic keyboard.

Has held up perfectly to the abuse I toss at my surface pro tuning cars and being my mobile set up! keys have a great feel to them and are easy to type on, the protection it gives tot the screen is also a nice added benefit.

This is my second Surface Pro and I LOVE this product. It's lightweight, packs a lot of power, has good battery life, and has all the benefits of a laptop and all of those of a pad.
This product alone convinced me to buy Microsoft stock. Luckily, my first Surface Pro was purchased in 2017.

Perfect Surface Pro 8 Keyboard if dont need Pen

This Detachable Keyboard is compatible the Surface Pro 8 or Surface Pro X (NOT older Surface Pros). I have the Surface Pro 8 and here are my thoughts after 2 weeks of use. I had an older Surface Pro 4 so this style of Keyboard was not new to me. But this version is even better.
PROs: 1. Stiffness - this keyboard is stiff. It is very secure when attached and raised up at the angle it provides. Bounce is minimal when typing, very tight. Sidenote: I have used both this version w/o pen and the version w/pen - this version has less travel than the one with the Pen. 2. Keys - are great if you are used to chicklet style. Low key travel but very solid. Give yourself some time to adapt and you will find you can type equally fast as any other keyboard. Backlighting great bonus. 3. Layout is quite well thoughtout.
CONs: 1. No Dedicated Function Keys - you will need to use 'Fn' key to access them, minor annoyance if you are used to full size keyboard. 2. Arrow keys are small - especially the 'up' 'down' arrows.
Who its for: those who prioritize stiffness and lower price (vs the version with the pen caddy)
Bonus: Microsoft's 'compact' BT keyboard for home uses the same layout so you keep muscle memory between the two for at home, on the road.
