Lowest quality thumbsticks you can get

I have to say I wouldn’t recommend this product anymore. I remember Xbox 360 controllers being quite durable and able to withstand some heavy hits. Even the Xbox One controllers when they first came out were somewhat decent. But now, if you have to replace a controller then expect to be treating it as a piece of fine art because these controllers should not be touched. It’ll start out great for a few months and will feel perfect, but then the left thumbstick will start to drift and you end up having to hope that the games you play have settings to adjust controller deadzone and are games that don’t require slight movements. Not only this, but the thumbsticks break at the simplest drop. This is my 2nd controller in less than a year which has had the same exact issue with drift that has the left thumbstick completely break from a 1ft drop onto carpet... and don’t even get me started on how many since I bought the Xbox One when it first came out, including an Xbox Elite controller which uses the same replacement sticks. I have no idea how the thumbsticks used on the Xbox One controllers passed Quality Assurance tests, but they are not even close to the quality I would expect out of a controller that costs more than $10-20. Unfortunately, the Geek Squad Protection doesn’t cover accidental damage either, so as soon as it drops 1ft you’re out almost $100 between the GSP and controller costs combined, so I can’t really recommend the protection plan for this even though I recommend it for many other products. I hope they correct the thumbstick ‘oversight’ for the next console generation, though I doubt they will.

This remote is only 1 month old and I noticed that when I set the controller down the character will walk on it's own. I have had remote's do this but not this soon.

Don't care what anyone says in their reviews, this controller (like every other Xbox controller) I've ever used is trash. I literally may be on my 15th controller and the left analog stick always shorts out when going in the right direction. I only play one game (Madden) and I'm not heavy handed. I may play about 5-7 games per week. I've even purposely nursed the right side (which can become pretty predictable in competitive Madden) because I've had this issue so many times. Hate to say it but Xbox makes the worst controller of any console ever. I've tried so many different ones. Maybe my next one should be a cheap wired controller,or it's time to switch to Playstation.

The latest controllers are junk. I have been through four controllers in a year and I don’t play 24/7. I work full time. This one just went over the 30 day warranty and already keeps disconnecting constantly. They’re making these things cheaper and cheaper.

This is specifically for Wireless Controller for Xbox - - Patrol Tech Special Edition my son (12) likes the look of this controller but out of the box it won't sync to the Xbox One console so not usable at all. I bought this for my son as one of his Christmas presents.
I bought it on sale for $20 off the regular price and we want an even exchange because we like this style. I hope Best Bust will honor the even exchange for the same controller because the price has been increased. This is they day after Christmas.

This is a genuine Microsoft product and the left stick drift to the left straight out of the box. this is a common problem with pretty much every Xbox one controller. Microsoft needs to get their ship together get it all together put it in a box and sell it at the ship store. I'm really considering getting rid of my Xbox and getting a PlayStation instead

Hey there,
We're sorry that there's an issue with the left thumbstick on your new Xbox wireless controller. If it's still within Best Buy's return period, we recommend exchanging it for a new one. Otherwise, every Xbox wireless controller comes with a 90-day limited manufacturer's warranty so we urge you to contact Xbox Support for assistance here: https://aka.ms/AA4w2z7
Hope that helps, Chuck Xbox Customer Care

I purchased this controller after the one that came with my console began to be a little faulty. I really like the design and the subtleties that Microsoft added to the controller. The joysticks have a rubber coating on them that helps your finger tips get a better grip. The back of the controller has an area that allows for your hand to get better grip of the unit itself, think grip tape for your hands. They are little differences that really make the controller feel a little more premium compared to the one the Xbox came with. I have been using it for about a month now, and I can honestly say I love this thing!

I bought this controller back in November back in 2019 and it still works perfectly to this day. I've played a lot of games with it and honestly, I'm shocked as this is the first time a controller of mine has lasted this long without any issues.

I owned an Elite Controller for 1 year and 10 months and returned it on my replacement plan because the control sticks became very sloppy as well as connection and stick input issues. I tried the back paddles on the Elite, but never got comfortable with them and ended up not using them. After returning my Elite, I purchased the Patrol Tech Special Edition because I wanted to get back to a basic controller that would do what I need at 1/3rd the cost and hopefully with more reliability. I chose the Patrol Tech over other offerings primarily because of the rubber grip areas on the back side of the controller. The standard controller is a little slippery on all surfaces, while the Patrol Tech provides a much more comfortable and secure grip. Secondly, I like the controllers color and graphics. Having used it now, I like going back to a much lighter controller compared to the Elite, and I find it to be responsive and comfortable when gaming for hours at a time. There are plenty of choices out there, but for me it really came down to the extra comfort and grip provided with this controller.

I have 2 black ones already. So is nice to have the option of having a light one. It's really nice as a great feel to it so as not easily to slip out of your hands. Also comes with 2 batteries. And really simple to program.

This is easily the best Microsoft controller for someone who like Minecraft. I got this for my gf because she loves Minecraft and the quality is above you standard Xbox controller, not as high as the Elite controller and the price reflects that. Lots of little details you can't even see from the box, like the TNT on the opening for the controller.

Bought this replacement controller as my old one had some stick drift. This is the standard Xbox one controller...no fancy trigger pulls, no pressure sensitivity settings, no claw grip levers to yank on. Just good ol’ fashioned x/y/a/b/lt/rt/lb/rb/square x 2/line x 3...works great as it is still fresh out of the box with no signs of being a “lemon” so far. Try not to be too much of a “sweaty” and take care of the controller and it should last quite a while (my average is two years)...if you’re a bumper jumper, take care of that left bumper as it will save your life one day in the virtual world, or real world as well? (Not sure where that came from). Maybe learn to slide more in game...only downside to this purchase was that after I bought it, I saw it on sale at Best Buy for cheaper than what I got it for. Otherwise decent Microsoft product that will no doubt one day breakdown under normal wear & year circumstances. If you know this and abide by the rules of electronics then this will be a no-brainer and guilt free purchase.

What you see is what you get. It is a very bright white. Easy to connect to the Xbox. I like it better than the Xbox 360 controllers.
