We use Microsoft Wireless Display Adapters in our conference rooms and executive offices. The setup is easy and process to connect is straight forward. There is almost no lag in remote display. On the challenging side, some laptops have issues connecting. Completing outstanding windows updates generally helps.

This works great I intended to use this all of the time but the laptop that I was looking to use this with does not display the image on the screen in high quality. But using this with my work laptop is wonderful but there were a few times that this has disconnected when my laptop went to sleep mode it doesn't reconnect. See I have opted to use the VGA connection. This still is useful and has good reliability. You could always have this handy for use with a laptop and a projector if you would prefer a wireless channel. I'm sure mileage will vary. I am using this on an old lcd television set.

They do work but for one small problem. Our first one went bad so got another. Since it was under the one year warranty I had to go through Microsoft. There was no problem with them giving me a new one. The old one tracked the cursor the same as what was on the computer. The new one does not. A small inconvenience. It is a cheap way to display what is on your compputer screen and then see a much larger version on your tv. You need a USB and an HDMI port.

Works great after I got it installed. Connects with phone and table easily. works seamlessly. Needs much better set of setup instructions. Had to use instruction of a competitor's product to figure out how to use it.

its quite easy to use. If you already have windows 10 with wifi. Absolutely, nothing to install, just click "notification" icon on your Taskbar, select "connect" icon, click the invoke "wireless adapter" and launch!!! You can use on any TV or Projector with HDMI port. Did I mention, you do not need internet connection nor wireless router?

I really like how easy this is to setup, connect, and use. I have had a few issues playing videos inside powerpoints presentations however. it will skip sometimes during the video. I am still testing to see if it is a wireless display problem or a powerpoint problem. I am using a i7 surface pro with 16 GB ram and the latest version of powerpoint, so i dont think the computer is the problem.

I have researched and experimented with several solutions for adding "Smarts" to my tv. This product is affordable, small and unobtrusive, albeit requiring an extension chord for power in my application (not so for a TV with USB power). Now I can wirelessly connect the display of my Windows 10 ( or 8) PC to my TV. I believe (but haven't tried) that a wifi network is NOT required: it sets up its own. This is a plus for me in a portable application. In sum: Convenient and for me it works as advertised!

I wanted a way to display anything from my surface tablet in the TV. This display adapter works well for the job without a lot of frills. Connecting is pretty straightforward and the range seems more than sufficient for the living room. There is a delay between what is on the tablet/computer screen and what the TV shows, but the TV sound and image are in synch and of good enough quality that it’s fine for movies. I haven’t installed the settings app, but it’s not necessary to use. My only issues have been that it doesn’t like to play amazon prime movies using the Microsoft edge browser, and I had one instance where I had to restart my computer to make it connect. Overall, it’s the most flexible option to wirelessly projecting a windows system to a TV.

Seemed like just another gimmick, but this has been a great addition for a small price. We share computer photos of our trips and children with friends, watch videos and can even use it as a VERY large monitor from time to time. Doesn't seem to be excellent for large streaming (movies), but everything else is very valuable. Computer is 4k and TV is not, but connecting 4k to 4k might even be better. I'd recommend this in lieu of upgrading a tv just for Bluetooth connectivity.

casts anything from my surface pro to TV. doesn't limit the display to a few apps like Chromecast. resolution & sound is very nice, but limited to your source. so if your source vid is low rez then ur picture won't be that great. it doesn't enhance anything, it shows what you got. I like self-powered USB option as it keeps set-up clutter-free. if you're having trouble with display/sound & you've tried the obvious, try upgrading your wireless to a/c, and check your A/V hookups. I have an ARC HDMI connection from TV to the receiver so anything on-screen produces sound from my speakers. HINT: if you have a newer model tv with wireless, and capable computer/laptop, you may not need a wireless display adapter for that TV - just search your wireless devices to connect. I bought the device to work with my non-wireless 1080P tv that has HDMI & USB.

So you got a big flatscreen in your bedroom or living room, and wish you could hook your laptop to it? Sure you hook up a long HDMI cable across the room and hope your kids or wife doesn't trip over it, pulling the laptop off your lap and watching it shatter on the tile floor. Or you could get this snazzy little device which will allow your Windows 8 or higher PC to broadcast to whatever tv you plug it in to. All you need is an available HDMI port and a USB (for power). No USB on your tv, no problem, you can use any USB charging block you have laying around too. Super simple on screen set up. Plug it in, follow the directions on screen and blamo! Excel spreadsheets on a 75" 4K UHD TV!!

I never heard of this product or used it before and just walked into Best Buy and asked on of the salespeople about trying to get my pictures larger to be able to read for my laptop and he informed me of being able to go wireless and see it on my television screen. I must admit I felt way out of the loop as I'm not really into all of the newer technology and this seemed way to easy. The negative side is that it is very expensive. Sure it works with only a few steps but it's not something I use all of the time and not sure if I really need it because of the high price I paid. It is nice to be able to see things on a larger screen but not for everyone in my estimation.

Have purchased 4 of these for our office conference rooms. They have worked great on our windows 10 laptops (Dell & HP) to display on our TV's. No more long HDMI cables hanging from the TV's and users not confined to the front of the room tethered to a cable. No more expensive dongles for visitors whose laptops only had display port or mini HDMI ports outputs. Ability to share Android device screens has been a plus as well to demo mobile apps. Make sure to download the free Microsoft display adapter app on your pc to tweak setting or update the firmware on the device. Plug and play. Plug in to the TV then on the laptop press the windows key + P and pick wireless displays.

This is a a great and cheap device that can be used by Intel WiDi, Windows 8.1 and above, and miracast compliant devices to send visual and audio content to a TV with an HDMI input. The USB side is strictly for power. Sometimes it will require a reboot or two to get working.

Was looking for one thing and the sales associate guided me to this product for my Surface Pro. We were having issues with not getting CBS on our Provider and wanted to watch our shows. This product made it so we could project the show on to our large TV screen. No more squeezing around the computer monitor to watch our Show!

I wanted something like Apple Airplay for my Surface Pro but I couldn't find any streaming devices that would support it. At least, not one that would do it well. I've seen this wireless display adapter several times but always avoided it thinking there must be another option. I eventually pulled the trigger on an open box version. I wish I did it sooner! It was a simple plug-and-play on the TV, and then a couple clicks in the Notification Center of my Surface and my content was on the big screen. Full price is a bit steep, but I would definitely recommend this is you ever want to wirelessly cast to a TV.
