I bought this first from Amazon for office use and I was so happy with it that after about a year bought another from best buy for home use. For smaller purchases I prefer best buy over amazon and other online retailer for the convenience of just walk up and return if that is necessary. Anyway, here is what I think of this product. Functionality: Other than bare minimum it has an extra button on the left side to be used with thumb. You can configure this in many applications for different functions. The scroll wheel is continuous and it takes a little while to get used to it. Other step by step scroll is easier to begin with but I prefer the smooth one. The pointer is precise, not as much as some of the gaming mouse, but perfectly fine for office or casual home use. Ergonomics: I have a medium sized hand, and this fits perfectly. Even after hours of heavy duty use that involves a lot of photo editing I have never felt fatigue or pain in my palm, the fact that it is lightweight really helps. There is another button on the left side which I don't use very often. The scroll wheel is precise and offers good resistance to avoid accidental scroll. The two sides have rubber grips that give you a soft and pleasing feel to hold the mouse. Battery Life: I use the mouse about eight hours, five days a week at office and a duracell battery lasts about three months. Quite happy with the battery life. It is important to turn off the mouse after every use to have the best battery life. I seldom forget to do that; if I didn't I think I would have gotten even longer battery life. Duraibility: Finally, the first mouse I bought is now more than two years old and still works perfectly. Just don't throw it around and play catches and you will be fine.

I use this mouse on a computer that runs office type software as well as gaming. The size is perfect for my needs. I don't like the larger mouse options out there and the compact options are too small. This size is the perfect compromise. My only complaint is that I also use this computer for occasional gaming on-line and have found the scroll wheel to be overly sensitive to even the slightest touch. Other than that, it's great.

The small size makes it great for being a travel mouse, but I didn't quite realize exactly how small it is. I wear XL or XXL gloves, and this mouse is practically miniature. If you are a person with big hands who doesn't need something small, maybe you want to look at other options. But if you need a small mouse, this is perfect. Responsive, smooth tracking and no issues (so far) with bluetooth connectivity. I use it complete school assignments and it works great.

i needed just a basic mouse to go with my new laptop and this one fit the bill very well. I use my laptop while sitting on a couch or comfy chair in the living room most often so a traditional wired mouse would have been a problem. This mouse was very easy to set up and it reacts very well. I had looked at some that cost a little more, but I really didn't need all the bells an whistles as I am no longer a gamer.

This wireless worked fine for me. It responded quickly and the wheel was easy to operate. I did return it for a larger Logitech only because I got a better $ deal with the Logitech. I gave this 5 stars since I truly found it to work just fine. I would not have any concerns about purchasing this item again.

Our family prefers a mouse over the touchscreen because of dirt, grease, grime, smudges, and streaks on the screen, thus less cleaning. This is the perfect mouse because of ergonomics, wireless, the right buttons, sleekness, and ease of use. All for a low price. The same previous mouse lasted for years before it gave out.

My MS Mouse 4000 is a great dependable unit that is very easy to use and I find ergonomically comfortable on my hand. The battery life is good even though I never turn it off when I am through using my computer. Great value and great price.

I wanted to try Microsoft 4000. Its really good. The mouse is very light when compared with L 350. The feel is also good. It does not give a click sound when I press the buttons and I love this.

This MS mouse works great. Set up was as simple as loading batteries in the mouse, flipping the on switch, plugging in USB into computer. It fits nicely in palm of hand and cursor tracks smoothly on screen.

The mouse is very responsive and durable. We have dropped it several times and it hasn't caused it any damage or affected the functionality of it. I'm very impressed and plan on buying another one.

Wireless mouse makes it much easier to navigate on my laptop as opposed to the keyboard function. Just put one AA battery in the mouse and insert the program piece in the laptop, and you're ready to go.

I recently bought the Microsoft - Wireless Mobile Mouse 4000 - Graphite at Best Buy. This is second mouse of the same model and got lots of use from it before it bit the dust. Its very versatile for use whether for a fixed location or on the go with its small but not too small size for a medium to large size hand. It has left/right tilt scroll on the scroll wheel and very fluid feel when scrolling. This mouse uses only a 1 AA battery and I get many hours of use before having to put in new battery` There is also a customizable button on the right side which can be set for just about any function that you wish to set. Definitely recommend this mouse for anyone!

Good overall wireless mouse. Easy to use and set up. The only thing takes a little time to get used to is the center scroll ball is very light on your finger, and you can't really tell if your finger is making it scroll or not.

This is our second one. Dog ate first one otherwise we would have still had it. We were hesitate at first to go wireless but we have had no problems with it at all. Love it!

This is my 5th mouse of this brand and type, and I have never had a problem with them. I refuse to buy other brands since the quality of this one is so high and comes at such a reasonable price. Highly recommended. I say it's my fifth one only because the prior 4 lasted me for at least 2-3 years each, and survived many drops, step-on's, and all around abuse from slippery fingers or surfaces.....eventually, they were gonna give up the fight. I keep coming back to them whenever I need a new mouse.

Hands down MS builds the best wireless mice. Everyone knows this but Lots of owners pop the USB sender. Why? When the USB looses signal (usually due to computer glitch) and the wireless mouse stops working NEVER EVER pull the sender out and plug it back in. ALWAYS force a shut down of the computer then remove the USB sender. Pulling out a USB sender when powered not only can pop the sender it can damaged the computer usb port. So if your stuck do a forced shutdown and then pull and install the usb sender. Again If it is only one thing MS is king on its their 'wireless mice and wireless keyboards.

I was looking for a mouse that wasn't too big or too small and with a decent sensibility, and this one is great! Also, the battery lasts for a long time.

I feel this mouse is much easier to use. I could not turn my old one off when I wasn't using it, so the batteries last much longer on the new one.

Its really ergonomic, almost on any surface! i love the fact that it can scroll to the sides!!! and it's really good on the battery!!!!
