I bought these originally for our family when we might go camping. We never really had a chance to use them. This past weekend, our dog was lost on a mountain and we used this to coordinate with each other. We did not have cell phone service, so it was really helpful to have. Range was great! Good quality! Easy to use!
The one thing to be careful about is attaching it to your waistband. We lost one because we were navigating really thick brush and it was attached to the waistband using the clip provided. You may want to attach it through a belt loop.

So far so good. Works well. Haven’t pushed the range limits yet. My only issue is when I set my walkie down next to my car stereo, it tends to pick up static from my radio as if someone’s trying to communicate with me

Just got my radios in. Plugged the charger in and one of the radios batteries started melting inside the radio and when I took it off the charger because I could smell the plastic burning it was so hot it burned my hand. DEFINITELY RETURNING THEM

The battery does not work well. The first week I used it for 10 hours, but now it does not work for three hours. It has been with me for almost two weeks and I am unable to return it.
Please reach out to [email protected] the walkies have a 3 year warranty.

Excellent sound, range, and custom user features. I got these to communicate with friends when off-roading, and have not had any issues with them at all. Much more affordable than some others, yet still provide a lot of the same staple and necessary features.
I have only had them die on me once, and it was probably because I did not charge tham at all between a string of three consecutive outings. The battery indicator is misleading. They read as full battery, but they obviously were not. Even when they died on me, letting them sit for a few minutes and trying to turn them back on the battery indicator read full again. Just keep them charged or charge them up right before going out and that won't be an issue.

These were purchased for communication during a Ragnar Race in Utah and worked great. They helped with communication between base camp and the runners. There were a few spots with broken reception, but that was primarily due to the runner and basecamp being separated by a mountain. The third radio helped with being able to relay though as a team member may have been closer. Cant wait to use them again this summer on family camping trips.

We purchased these to use on our recent trip when we were in two cars and wanted an easy way to communicate between us for directions, stops etc. Everyone told us to just use our phones but that seemed too much of a hassle so, after much research, I purchased this set of Midland X-Talkers and I am so happy I did.
I am very impressed with their performance - sound quality is loud and clear. Since we were never more than 2 or 3 tractor trailer lengths apart I never got to test the ultimate range but for our use these talkies never had any problems. We were able to stay in constant contact.
The battery life was good. The night before our trip I charged them overnight (they were brand new and fresh out of their packaging) and they lasted for almost a full 10 hours before we finally got the "battery dead" indicator. I like the fact that they come with rechargeable batteries and a very nice desktop charger, but for our next adventure I will be taking along a couple packs of standard batteries to supplement the rechargeables.
The X-Talkers seem rugged and well made and I think would be great for hiking, biking, camping and road trips with friends/family.

Bought these on sale and I have to say they work really well. Got these as a back way to contact my wife for emergency outages. 26 miles based on a clear line of sight from what I can tell but overall, works well.

We used these radios to travel as a group together up in the backwoods of Minnesota and Ontario. I have no idea how the manufacturers can say that it's a 26 mile range, after about a mile on the interstate and backroads that was about it for range. When not traveling at highway speeds and on the lake it had a range of about 2 1/2 miles. they worked well within those smaller areas but once you got out past a mile or so it was pretty broken up. If you were going to use them with scouts and they stayed within a mile of the camp, it would be fine, anything outside of that range, you need better communication tools.

These walkies provide a great value and are easy to use. I purchased them so I could teach my wife and kids the basics of communication long range in case there were an emergency. They're also convenient at a fair and of course camping.

This product was very useful for my job. If you ever need some type of way to communicate with someone this could be one of the ways you could do so. A downside to this would be the fact that the product can't go too far without disconnecting and then not working.

Bought this as a gift for my kids so that they'd have something higher quality than a toy, but without breaking the bank. I like that it comes with a charger and an option to use standard batteries in case the rechargeable ones are no longer working. Only one instance so far of the walkie talkies picking up an outside conversation. We switched channels and couldn't seem to get rid of it, so we turned them off and tried again 30 minutes later. No big deal since we weren't looking for a "perfect" solution. Good buy for the price!
