Additionally, a few users have mentioned that their chairs do not roll smoothly on the mat.

So When I picked this up from BBY I was surprised by how long the box was and how long the mat was. But as soon as I opened the packages the STENCH of the material was SO OVERWHELMING!!! Almost distracting as I am nervous that this may cause harm. Rolling it out was so difficult as well because the grips was stabbing me and it was hard to unroll the item only the floor. Once I would unroll it was trying to re-roll itself. Also it came torn which is so annoying because I was delicate with how I unrolled only to find out it was already torn. I think it is a great concept but this one will have to be replaced because the smell is too distracting that I don’t want to give it time to dissipate.

It came tightly rolled in a box. There was no unrolling it very easily, so i needed to use a heat gun to flatten it out. Not perfect, still has ripples in it which might be causing it to move throughout the day, as you can see in the photo.

Bought this mat thinking it’ll be able to roll my chair on it… which it does makes it easier to move on it but after a while it’ll sink in, which I’m still trying to think of what to apply underneath but still like the mat but I have very puffy carpet maybe one thinner carpet it’ll help roll

Good for the price. smelled like plastic for few weeks. Placed in the garage for few days then pit it back in my office that took care of the smell.

Durable, but not overly thick. I wish they laid flatter when rolling on them, but they do the job and don’t crack. Just make sure to watch edge placement.

I'm only giving this three stars bc I have a feeling it will actually work on "office carpet" aka very thin carpet.
This DOES NOT WORK ON REGULAR CARPET. It's literally more work to roll around in your chair with this down; again on regular "household carpet".
Conclusion: If you're on Thin carpet this might be for you. If you're working from home and think this is the mat to help you roll around on house carpet, look somewhere else.

For the price, I thought I would be getting a higher quality floor mat.. This mat DOES NOT stay in the carpet on it's own (shifts constantly) and nearly a month later, still has not rolled out completely flat. If they shipped it flat instead of rolled out, it would have been a MUCH better quality.

A Necessary Chair Mat

This mat came in handy for where I study, my chair would not move due to carpet making it hard for me to adjust. After purchasing the Mind Reader Mat, I now can move my chair with ease and comfort as I study. I would recommend it for it makes my chair easier to move in the direction I need it to face...effortlessly.

Very disappointed with this mat. It is so thin & flexible. It does not allow the chair to glide. The chair wheels sink into the mat and make the chair hard to move.

Good mat but I give it 4 stars because of the odor when I took it out of the box. It needed to be put outside to air it out.

Not great--the spikes don't hold well into my carpet, and it keeps sliding around like they weren't even there.

This mat is decently large and doesn't resist unrolling after shipping like other mats I've had in the past. The one drawback is that it smells like pot... I wish I was joking. So now my whole office smells like pot.
Hopefully it will go away...
