We purchased this for our 10yr old son and he loves this game. The card was easy to download and set up acct. The game plays great and he truly enjoys it. It is also educational which is great.

I didn't think I'd like minecraft but bought this because my friends were playing. I like it and suggest, if you are in doubt, that you try the demo before buying this card.

Card works great and a great game on PC. You just need to follow the instructions to download the game.

Tax day gift for the grandkids and they love it. This is one game they had been wanting for awhile so they pretty much played it from the time they got it loaded up. Well worth the cost which was not bad at all.

I had never played Minecraft, but my daughter started playing the knockoff version on her smartphone and talked about it all the time. So we bought it for Xmas and she loves it. She gets really creative with it.

I purchased this for my 9 year old who constantly plays Minecraft on her iPad. Lots of her friends had the full-blown version, so I decided to spend some My Best Buy rewards to get her the game for good grades / good behavior. She seems to really enjoy the game because she wants to play it regularly on the weekends. For whatever reason, I cannot get into the game. It seems sorta like SimCity (which I always loved playing), but I don't quite understand the point. But she's happy, and if you liked the Minecraft iPad version, you'll likely enjoy this one, too.

What I didnt find cool was that you can't return it and that the Best Buy personnel is not acquainted with the product. The cashier and another team member at time of purchased said I could return it when I explain that i might need to return it if I figure out why i cant log in with the card that i currently had at home. So, in fact I ended up having to return it because I did not longer need to use it but I couldnt and no one could help me. The card was intact with absolutely no scratches over code bar or anything like that. So here I am with a card that I dont need and cant do anything with. Best buy needs to train their personnel better, if they didnt know anything about the return policy for the specific item I should have been redirected to qualified personnel

My kid has been asking for Minecraft for a while. We played the mobile version, but she was ready to graduate to the desktop one. The card was easy to find, and (fairly) simple to use for enrolling.

It's Minecraft. What more is there to say? It's a great game and the computer version is necessary for Youth Digital's online class that teaches kids to program their own Minecraft mods using Java.

Definitely one of those games where you have to have a good imagination because there is no set goal or quest. But if that isn't a problem for you then this is always an awesome time passer.

The Minecraft game is fun and a good game I can play with my grandson. But the delivery system - waiting for a card to come in the mail that give downloading instruction - is silly. Why not just be able to download it from the Best Buy site or be sent to another site with a download code?

Goes without saying that this is a great creative game for people new to the sandbox genre. On top of that, offers great potential for exploration and creativity.

I am not a fan of Minecraft, but my son loves it. if possible, he can play all day. he discuss the game with friends, buy books and toys, watch game videos...The BEST game he had played.

The item is amazing. I love the game, its for everyone at any age. Wish the price was lowered a few dollars but its still worth it. Its a pretty addicting game because you can build anything and use your wildest imagination. Definitely a great game for kids.

For those not familiar with Minecraft, picture old style block legos we all used in the 1970s, then picture them in an online format. The creativity of building online is nearly unlimited. The kids have the task of crafting their own tools, finding their own building materials, crafting building supplies, and building their own designs. Includes circuitry for crafting power doors, etc. This "game" will impact a generation of engineers. The only part I found challenging was the installation process. I did not expect the "unpack" file to be the executable for the game. Once I copied it to the desktop, the game ran fine.
