    Great early 80's coming of age teen movie finally released on DVD for first time ever by great director Zapherelli A must see teen movie with early performances by Brooke Shields and James Spader. Drama driven script about teen romance taking a bad turn with violence and tragedy. The new remake is a different take on the basic story but lacks the innocence of the original. A must own!

    I loved this movie back in the 80's. I always wanted to own this on DVD, but it wasn't released until now. Great love story and pretty good acting by the lead actors. Martin Hewitt and Brooke Shields are great as romantic couple. Movie also has a very early appearance by James Spader and Tom Cruise. Worth watching and owning.

    A true classic very sweet & romantic you really got into the story the actors were amazing wasn't too crazy but the ending but overall still a great movie loved it so happy it finally got a DVD release thrilled to finally have it in my collection.

    No special features. Have not watched this since I saw it in high school, at the theatre. Funny to see Tom Cruise in his first motion picture, he should've had the leading role!!

    By far one of Brookes' best performances. Poetic story of true love and the ignorance of youth coupled with 'Blind Love' and other contingent factors that keep the lovers bound as one as the end leads on to this premise...For true love is not a force to be reckoned with..,Enjoy the show. Will not be surprised if you watch it more than once. L.P. 4/15/2014

    I've been waiting years for this movie to come out on DVD! Can't wait to buy it on April 15, 2014 at Best Buy. Will be a great addition to all of my other 80's classics!
