I bought these for my kids because I didn't want to spend $100 on them. They are very good! And the app is great too! I was impressed! I wish the watch band would come in a smaller size. And the tracker part doesn't really seem to fit well in the watch band. We tried 3 times and ended up popping the back off. But my son wears his every day. He loves looking at his "points" at night.

The misfit Flash has been very nice. I enjoy that it syncs automatically and wirelessly, is water resistant, doesn't require charging, and can be attached to almost any article of clothing, I'm coming from a Jawbone Up band. They break all the time. I went through 12 before my warranty ran out. The Flash has been very reliable. I hope the software feature set of the app continues to improve.

    Device Works, Band is Flawed

So first off the device works pretty good. Although there are some complaints I have. I have gone through 3 bands already and 2 trackers. All the bands that break, break in the same general spot. It's usually on one of the arms that connect to the center. I don't know if there is too much stress when the tracker is inserted? But each band breaks on the corner edge where the center and arms connect. I also lost a tacker when I went swimming. Everything I read said it was meant to track swimming and could be worn in the water. I wouldn't believe that. I tried it swimming at the local pool for maybe 15 minutes, didn't dive or anything with it and it ended up dying. I took the back off and the insides had plenty of water inside. So I would say the claim at being waterproof is false. Other than the band breaking every couple of months (they send a free replacement) and it not being waterproof (they also sent a replacement tracker), I love the Misfit tracker. Cheap, but gets the job done and has a pretty good app and also syncs with plenty of other apps.

The flash may not have all the functionality of the more expensive activity trackers, but at this price, it's great. You can tag certain activities, tag sleep cycles, wear it on your wrist, waist, ot pretty much anywhere you want. Its waterproof (I suggest not going swimming with it, but getting it wet while waahing my hands hasnt broken it). The smartphone companion app is ok, nothing great but simple to use. It's a great way to encourage you to move around more as you check your progress throughout the day, and it syncs easily to your smartphone to keep records. My wife and I compare our activity levels at the end of the day for a little friendly competiton which has resulted in our dogs being taken on longer walks so even the dogs have benefited from this purchase! ISSUES: My flash did have a problem with activating (as if I pressed the button) randomly, sometimes every few minutes, but I took it into a best buy store and got it traded out without any problem and the new one works great. My wife's has a syncing issue where it occasionally doesn't sync properly and loses all the unsynced data. So out of 3 flashes we've had, 2 have had issues. Other reviews that almost convinced me not to but this talk about the cheap wriststraps breaking easily and while they do look/feel cheap, so far we haven't had any issues with the straps breaking,

I was going to give this tracker higher rating, but recently swam laps in a pool with it and since then have had nothing but issues. It stops working, does not light up. In fact worked 10.5 hour day today, should have easily been a 10K step count day; yet tracker only picked up about 2500 steps. Misfit states that this tracker is able to go 30m under water. I was swimming laps on the surface, yes I dove in off starting blocks; but was barely under the surface of the water. I have yet to reach out to Misfit about this issue, but plan on doing it. Other than the issue with not working after swimming, it was great at showing my progress, and tracking sleep was great. I have know for a while now I have not been getting enough "Restful" hours of sleep, but this device has opened my eyes to just how bad my nights truly are. I do like h

It is a decent fitness and sleep tracker. The numbers are close enough for what I want. Looks decent and the fact that it has a watch is great. The tracker was a pain to get into band and back keep falling of while installing it but hasn't sense. Pros - Watch - Tracker - Don't need to charge it Cons - Hard to get tracker into band - No vibration motor - Plastic scratches

We bought 2. It's user friendly, inexpensive and love that you can detach it from the band and wear it discretely. Unfortunately one has already been returned twice and in less than a month. The other is working, but the band is already breaking apart. I would recommend it but would let them know the issues we have had.

Bought it for the price not knowing about the battery life...but will most likely buy another. Not having to charge it makes it that much more convenient and reliable. Very simple to setup and use, tracks accurately, and very comfortable. Plus I love the classic round watch style. Overall I am very satisfied!

This was a great and cheaper alternative to the Fitbit! I loved that it tracked your steps and sleep. The app is user friendly. But I used the waist band holder and dropped it on concrete and it will not work. So I will be using my geek squad warranty to get a new one! Overall a great product and an inexpensive!

I am very happy with the purchase of my Misfit. The price was right. I don't need to remember to charge it. It is lightweight and I can wear it on my wrist or clip it to my clothes. I like the fact that it tracks not only my daytime activity but also my sleeping patterns. It was very easy it set up too.

super easy to use, set up and get my data. BUT: the watch band part broke the second day i was wearing it. fortunately it happened at work and I heard it hit the ground. I was pretty surprised to see it on the floor! so the plastic that hold the misfit is cheap, thin and breaks easy. Glad it came with a second option for wearing. Too bad, the watch looked good.

This is actually my second Misfit product in 1.5 months. The first one I purchased, the Shine, broke after a week. (Somehow, the pod managed to come apart and I lost the back half - you know, the part with the battery.) So I purchased the Flash as it was cheaper and I liked the fact that it was a thicker pod, hence the less likely I'd be to lose it. One thing I did not like is that the band is "sportier" than the Shine. It is not a particularly sophisticated look - in person, the band looks like cheap plastic. But I like that the pod is a push-button and not tap activated. I really like the ease of the app and the information it gives (though, honestly, still not sure what to do with the Sleep Tracking information...) But, after a little over a month, the band snapped. I haven't yet had a chance to get back to Best Buy to see if they'll replace, but I am disappointed in learning that the plastic that looks cheap, is in fact, cheap. I suppose as this model is on the lower end of the Fitness Tracker cost scale, you get what you pay for. I'd still recommend it as a whole, as I like the app and it is easy to use and fairly comfortable. I just wish perhaps they'd upgrade the band a little.

Good price for 2 of them. One for me and one for my wife. They do not do as much as other wearable tech. All they really do it track steps and sleep. You can also check time on them like a watch. If you want more features look for something else. If you want a good price these are good.

I got the Flash Activity Tracker and used it daily for as long as it lasted which was about 2 weeks. After that the device just went dead. As I was out of the country, as soon as I got back I went to BestBuy with the idea of exchanging it and give another try. But as it had been already 3 1/2 weeks from the purchase time I only got a store credit. As I had purchased it on a sale, I would have to pay more to get a new one. I did not want to risk. As long as it worked it was nice and it seemed to track sleep and movements quite all right. The other problem was that the device would not hold well to the wrist band and I had to keep it very tight to avoid loosing it.

The Misfit Flash is a fine piece of fitness tracking gear. It links up to my iPhone effortlessly, and it keeps track of how much activity I engage in throughout the day– exactly what I want my fitness tracker to do. It's also waterproof, reasonably attractive, and it does tell time, even though it takes some getting used to with the flashing lights as opposed to a digital readout or a traditional analog clock face. It even tracks my sleep, showing when I was sleeping lightly and when I was sleeping restfully. Given that Misfit just lowered the price on these significantly, there's no better time to go out and try one. And if you want the extra motivation, you can even compete with any of your friends who have a Misfit. It's just a good product for my needs.

The Better of The "fit trackers"

A LOT of my friends have Fitbits and have been complaining about charging issues and accessories just not meeting up to expectations... After a lot of consideration and having been in the market for a while I pulled the trigger on this one because it was on sale and I had enough reward dollars to cover the whole cost... PLEASANT SURPRISE ...this little thing is actually way better than I thought! The watch function is a total homage to Swatch and I LOVE that! When I can't wear it (volleyball) I either put my tracker on the clip or in a pocket. The fitness tracking function, while I don't have a whole lot to compare it against, works just fine for me. You download the Misfit app and set your preferences and just like that it works. There's been a lot of shade thrown on which updates work or don't work with sync-ing, but I sync up just fine. There's a social atmosphere on the app, but beware who you friend, you can't "un-friend" them just yet. Perhaps a feature coming soon??? Other than that, it's a sleep tracker too, and you can initiate activities or it'll just track steps all day, and you can record activity when you forget or can't wear it... Overall, VERY HAPPY and wish I'd scooped up more to buy as gifts...

I bought a Reef colored tracker and loved it. I could read the time even in bright sun. A week later the band broke, the tracker fell on the floor and was run over by a pallet lifter and broke too, but it was warranted so I went back to Best Buy to get another one. All they had was bright pink and frost. I never wear bright pink so I bought a frost colored band. It does all it should, except I can't read it in sunlight at all, not enough contrast. I'll probably buy another Reef colored one soon. I bought this primarily to track my sleep. I've been having trouble sleeping for years and as I continually try new things I need to have instant feedback about what works. Flash does a better job of sleep tracking than FitBit or Pivotal Living. Wonderfully, my Flash even motivated me to increase my target for exercise by quite a large leap and I've been meeting my new target most days! Sleeping lots better, exercising more. This is a great tool.
