The Monogram French door fridge that cost me 4500$ is nice , but I can buy just as nice for half the price . The inside had some scratches and the top of the fridge has no cover. It just looks cheap. Some of the cheaper fridges have a nicer top. The fridge is stainless all the way around which is nice . Only reason I got this one. Thinking this stainless fridge uses only specified stainless cleaner , because after the delivery guys pawed up my new fridge , the wiped it down w/ stainless cleaner wiped and took off. Well those wipes left smears on the fridge that I can not get out. So returning it for another .... let’s try this again , shall we!! Also the delivery guys marked up my wall and I’ll have to fix that too now :-/

    Regret Regret Regret. Terrible Experience.

I absolutely hate it. Very nice customer service, but techs were unable to make lasting fixes and I'm stuck with what one phone rep says "sounds like a lemon." I posted a similar review to this on the monogram site to try and help others considering this and it was rejected, saying that it didn't met their standards. Of course... if I had read similar reviews I would have gone with Sub Zero. Anyway, here is my experience. CONS: Loud Uneven temperature Terrible with fresh fruits & Veggies Awful ice bin design Freezer items get icy PROS: Looks fine Phone support, although not helpful, they were nice Regarding how loud it is, my unit frequently runs at at 48/49 db (A) as determined by two decibel apps on my phone. Two GE repair guys came out. First guy said refrigerators are loud and its quieter than the one he has in his house. Also reminded me that when you look at units in a showroom the compressors are off so they make no noise. Second guy said the fan was out of balance, ordered a new one came back and I've seen some improvement since but still not nearly as quiet as my old Sub Zero. The temperature is much colder in back than in front and colder on top than at the bottom. It reminds me of one of those cheap refrigerators I had in college than freezes on the back wall. This doesn't do that, but it is a similar lack of cool air distribution. Seems like it needs some kind of fan or circulation system. One day I opened my refrigerator to find a can of Coke had exploded. I keep the unit at 37 degrees (as directed by one of the many tech that has looked at the unit). When I called support to tell them about this and ask if this was a problem with the refrigerator, she told me it gets cold on top you should probably keep sodas n a lower shelf. Certainly doesn't sound like a high end machine, right? There are three drawers. None of which are labelled and none of which are identified in the owners manual. What exactly are they for? So another call to support and the rep was stumped. She couldn't figure out which were for fruits, vegetables and deli. Checked her manuals. Had no idea. Finally went into a parts listing and said based on the parts it looks like the bottom one was deli and top two were for fruits and vegetables. Didn't sound convincing. Since all my fresh fruits and berries etc turn to mush regardless of where I put them I thought I'd try again so I can at least focus my attempts on where they were deigned to go. Called again, got another rep who was equally stumped. She put me on hold for a bit and came back to say she spoke to someone in another department that confirmed that bottom drawer was for deli, so top ones must be for fruits or vegetables. So I use them now, but it makes no difference. There is no vent or anything than goes into that area it just seems like two drawers with so special use. The bottom "deli" drawer does have a special vent in the back. The way the ice machine is designed, once it fills up if you open the freezer the arm to check if ice needs to be made knocks the ice off the back to the bottom of the freezer underneath the pull out shelves. My freezer is full of ice on the bottom. The only way I can get it all out is to empty both pull out shelves of the freezer and remove the entire drawer. What a pain. Lastly, items in the freezer get very icy. Especially noticeable with ice cream. So clearly I regret this purchase. Maybe I got a "lemon" but there are too many design flaws for me to be the only one experiencing this. My guess is that since they clearly block negative review on their site it is just too hard to get other viewpoints to make a good decision.

We bought the previous version of the fridge 11 months ago. It is really nice looking, but I would NEVER buy again. It seems to be the same model as the GE Cafe fridge that is $1300 less. Buy that one if you're considering this fridge. The condenser is very loud compared the Samsung fridge that we got rid of. In addition, the quality control on the finishing was very shotty. The rubber moulding on the doors was not completely attached and the caulking around the perimeter of the doors was all over the place. We ended up ordering 3 fridges as the first two had the caulking problem and, when we received the 3rd one, it had the same problem as well. I spent 2 hours cleaning all of the dried caulk residue off of the tops and sides of the doors since I didn't want to deal with ordering another fridge. I called GE and their customer service was terrible given that we purchased fridge, dishwasher, double oven and stove top ($12+k) worth and they won't even follow up with me.

I waited for my refrigerator for 9 months. When it was delivered it had a small dent on the front door. 3 weeks later the freezer wasn’t cooling Had a GE service out and the compressor needs replaced.
