It’s a good movie. My 5 year old likes all the crazy things they do and I like the college theme they have. Good ol Disney fun

Fun! Terrific character development. John Goodman and Billy Crystal are amazing together! The cool thing about Pixar and Disney is absolutely everything they do is so cool. For Instance, the attention to detail from references from the first release, Monsters Inc. to the "Do-You-Think-Anyone-Will-Notice-? music chosen to play over the scene where we first see the university (was that REALLY taken from Monty Python's 'Meaning of Life'? ..."ev-er-y something-something is sacred, e-ver-y something-something is good"...)! Truly classic. Truly cool. You need to get this one.

Thankfully, Monsters University didn't blow it the same way Cars 2 did. Both Billy Crystal as Mike Wazowski and John Goodman as "Sullley" have great chemistry, which only adds to the humor present in this great film about two monsters who actually started out as rivals. Mike is a monster who's been overlooked his whole life, but has the determination and knowledge to become a Scarer (monsters cross into the Human World to scare children and harvest their screams as energy). While Sulley is a natural scarer, he lacks the drive to learn and charges in without thinking. They wind up putting their futures in danger and are forced to work with a team of misfits to save their futures. There's definitely a unique dynamic here. If you've seen Monsters Inc, you have a good idea where this goes, but you don't have to see it to fully enjoy it.

Movies like this that have a "pre-story" to an existing movie usually don't turn out too well. This is the rare exception. It is rather unexpected in how Mike and Sully become friends and end up where we find them in Monsters, Inc. A great story of struggle to do what you have passion for. The 4K upgrade is very nice and the steel book art is well done. A worthy upgrade.

Normally when your hear the word prequel in terms in a film, you save time and disappointment by groaning and moving. M.U. is NOT the case. Time was put in to make sure the story holds on its own, but they elements that point to the original were not done in a super cheesy fashion. Everything about this film was excellent....which reminds me, I need to go and pick up the soundtrack for my wife.

Great packaging. The steelbook has a nice firm feel with a minimalistic design. The 4k transfer is really good, both picture and sound are as best theyve ever been. A big step up over the blu ray

This movie was excellent! The one bad thing about it: it will never be the first Monster's Inc. Yet, it is right up there because it just plain showed a side of monsters that was not seen in the first movie. It was funny, sad, comical, action packed, had some drama, and was just plain amazing overall. And trust me, I never liked the first movie until I actually sat down to watch it and then fell in love with it. This movie had me from beginning to end!

Enjoyed this movie. The steelbook art is amazing. I like collecting steelbooks so I grabbed this up. Wish I could get the steelbook for the first Monsters Inc.

Looked great and great price! The only issue was the atmos going in and out while playing through a ps5. We just changed the audio. Great movie though!

The artwork on this latest batch of Pixar steels is every bit as beautiful as the films themselves. They truly saved some of the best for last. Vibrant colors, rich detail, and it tells you everything you need to know about the film just by looking at it. Any Pixar fan needs this on their shelf!

As good as the first Monster's Inc. was, this one is far superior! The central theme revealed at the end film--"via hard work you can accomplish anything"--will hopefully penetrate the minds of audiences. It is a message that tends to fall on deaf ears, especially those with the "instant gratification" mindset. This film is a refreshing reminder that through hard work (and patience) you can accomplish anything.

This movie set up alot of the stories from the original movie as well as tied together some lose ends on how the monsters grew into who we met in the first movie. Whether or not you have small kids this movie is always in rotation in my house even when i'm working from home, it's nice to have it on in the background and makes a great "show me the 3d" type of movie to bring your friends into the 3d world.

I already have Monsters Inc in 4K so when your Monsters University SteelBook 4K SteelBook went on sale it was a no brainer. Love the Monsters Inc. movies.

My son really enjoyed Monsters Inc. so we had to have Monsters Univ. He really likes the characters in the movies and he we actually now have some of the toys from the characters in the movie. I actually watched sum of this movie with him and i also enjoy the voices of the characters and they really seem to fit them well. All in all, I would recommend Monsters Inc and Monsters Univ to anyone!

This is a great family movie about the wonderful monsters finding a way to reach their dreams. I really enjoyed their goal to attend and graduate college. Although Mike & Sulley couldn't fulfill their dreams at Monsters University, they worked hard to become scarers in another fashion. Sometimes in life plan A doesn't work but you don't have to give up:) Love the message for kids of all ages!

As a frequent traveler always trying to keep hard & software updated and running swiftly. Never miss going to a BB. Same goes for when back home...what's in there for me? ...the usual Q. This was a Xmas wish, great stocking stuffer...having all formats in one is just great. You can watch it here, there, ... at home, visiting granny, while riding along ... a life saver for 'those ocassions'

This prequel explains it all and sets the stage for the orignal. Not only is it enjoyable for all ages, it provides alot of content that one can easily relate to in the areas of friendship, rejection, competition, perseverence, teamwork, and trust. A must see if you enjoyed the original. Picture quality is awesome on both 2D and 3D versions. Sound quality and separation is excellent.

A big movie, looking better than ever in 4K, my only complain it’s the way you guys send the items, please be more careful the price os more when you buy a steelbooks, but they came with dents. Even if they are not big you should packed them in a better way

This is a fantastic movie!!! Sometimes when a movie produces a sequel or even worse, the dreaded prequel it's a huge disappoint! Not with this movie!! The writers came up with a marvelous storyline that ties into Monsters Inc. and is also an original story in itself with a ton of small tie ins! My 6 year old loves this movie & it's really easy for her daddy to sit through it too!!!

So glad when this steelbook came back in stock. I had all the other Pixar 4K steelbook editions but missed this one and Monsters Inc. The 4K presentation is fantastic and the audio is completely enveloping if you have a full home theater set up.
