Yes... these are pretty bad movies, especially the second one. I still wanted to get these if for the SteelBook alone. The first one is entertaining enough and I can’t wait for the new movie.

Good movies the original movies from the games fight scenes are good

Mortal Kombat may be the best video game movie adaptation. It's cheesy, but fun. It's an enjoyable movie with lots of action. Mortal Kombat Annihilation is a different story. It really is a terrible movie. I mean awful. But I still love it. It's beyond cheesy and has some of the worst CGI ever. The acting and special effects were...bad. But it's one of those movies that is so bad it's entertaining and I... like it. As for the steelbook it looks great. I do wish it had a disc on each side instead of them both on the same side, but oh well. It was a great purchase.

This is a very nice looking steelbook. The art looks great all around. The first movie is dumb fun and I think a perfectly great video game movie by those low standards -- and nostalgia probably plays a part in it for me. I had never seen the second movie before buying this set, but I thought it was enjoyable enough for how goofy-terrible it is. I had no hopes or expectations for it. It was better than being boring on top of bad. I think this set was certainly worthwhile for the first movie alone. I don't mind owning the second one with it.

I love this steelbook! I remember playing the original game on Sega Genesis back in the 90's and performing fatalities on my opponents was satisfying! Pros: Nice steelbook packaging, disc art, Blu-ray resolution and sound are great. The first MK movie is more memorable and entertaining to watch. Cons: This was my first time watching MK: Annihilation with this purchase. It's not as memorable or enjoyable to watch than the first movie. The visual effects and performances are a downgrade imo from the first movie. Most of the actors from the first MK have been replaced. [I miss the original Sonja:(] Overall, I'm happy with my purchase!

The only live action videogame based movie that should get a steel book case and 4K release as well. Its not the 4k version but glad the steel book case is there, When the 4k version comes out am definately removing that god awful mk 2 disc and putting the 4k version of MK 1 the way it should be. Great movie and great case but I wish the 4k version was here too.

I picked this up one because the price couldn’t be beat and so I could watch them before the release of the new movie coming out this month. It definitely worth picking up if you’re a fan love the cover art how they blended the logo with the logo from the two previous movies and again for the price of the steelbook it definitely worth the pick up

A nice looking steelbook, plus a great price for two movies. Now, granted, the second Mortal Kombat is complete garbage, but as a kid I still enjoyed some of the fight scenes and the soundtrack was better than the first movie’s. The first movie, while not a masterpiece by any stretch, is still a lot of fun. I’ve only watched that one since I bought this, but the disc played fine and the a/v presentation was good (likely as good as these particular movies are ever going to get).

I have never watch any of these films as soon as I saw the new mk I ordered this movie and I got to say I loved the first movie it was fun it had great actors that portrayed the roles of the characters the second films is a different story all i got to say is what happened

Being a fan of the Mortal Kombat game franchise as a kid, this is a must cop for MK fans. I grew up playing MK majority of my life but the movie is not as violent like the game, overall still must own!

Only a must have for true Mortal Kombat fans. I grew up in the 90s and these movies were always classic aside from the cheesy lines it's just too tier MK movies. Glad to own the Steel book and digital versions it's truly worth owning.

I purchased the SteelBook and as usual the artwork is no frills and minimalist for this movie(s). That being said m glad i purchased it. Of course the first film is a classic. The second is of course no comparison to the first. Although i did rewatch it and was less disappointed than when i originally watched it. The FX are a bit cheesy but it does have some charm.

Ahhh... the steelbook version. I enjoy collecting the steelbooks ,their very cool. The first movie is good and the sequel is ok. The 2nd film could have been better but overall you get both for a good price and very cool cover.

This review is not about the films but more about the steelbook itself. I’m fine in giving these movies a steelbook release, but there seems to be recent manufacturing problems with the Blu-ray Discs since they seem to be scratching a lot lately, which also happened with the LOTR 4K discs. You’d think that these discs should much harder to scratch which is why I prefer blu-rays over DVD. My other big issue is Warner Brothers giving these films a bare bones release yet again with zero new special features. At this point, I’d rather see them give the rights to Shout Factory since they can give the 90’s MK films & TV shows the red carpet treatment they deserve with a ton of actual special features included. All we got is the same exact discs from the 2011 release, but with a rare cover that Best Buy couldn’t even keep a good amount in stock. Cool looking steelbook case, but not worth it if A) you can’t find it available & B) they added nothing new except a new fancy case.

The SteelBook is amazing and the art is clear and crisp. Digital code was a big part of why I bought it. Worked on Vudu no problem. Waited a long time for a nice bluray set of these films and I'm glad I waited for this set!

Mortal Kombat (OG) was a steady lockdown watch for me and I’m happy to own this new steelbook. The second one is so-so, but I truly believe the first movie is the best video game adaption. Ever.
