The camera itself is nice, even though it can't be remotely tilted (at this prince point, I was really surprised). The projector image and image quality are really nice, and the night light is really great. Being able to use both the monitor and your mobile device to keep an eye on baby sure is a nice feature.
The problem with this product is the mounting structure. I couldn't see it in any of the description pictures, or even on the picts on the product box itself, but the halo pole goes all the way to the ground (which is great, for more stability) but the knob that attaches the pole to the crib is HUGE. I mean HUGE. It goes at least 4" into the crib space so my baby hit his head on the knob a few times and got a bruise on his head because of it. So I returned the product as I didn't feel it was safe for my baby.
Another downside of this product is once baby can pull himself to his knees, you're supposed to discontinue the use of the pole (good, safety first but bad, short life) but it doesn't come with a wall mount for the camera unit and the camera's limited tilt would make it hard to see into the crib (I thought about keeping the product to use the camera without the halo mount but then, what would be the point?).
If the halo projector had a wall mount option, this would be a great and safe product. It needs a wall mount for the projector, the camera needs the ability to pan, and the monitor screen needs higher resolution and longer battery life - which for the price, I was expecting to see at least better resolution and battery life.

Expensive, bad resolution of the monitor, camera cannot be rotated with the Monitor you have to manually do it. Connection breaks every now and then.
Pro: I like the optional connectivity of the handheld monitor and use phone via app.

Don’t Buy Defective cameras

I have had this camera over two years my son is almost two and this is my 2nd camera. Don’t buy this camera something is defective with it. When it works it’s great but when it doesn’t....which it’ll eventually stop working you’ll have to buy something else. The warranty covered the replacement camera but they told me my warranty would expire soon so I knew that this camera would eventually go out too. Sad they should back their devices and the camera is expensive. Very disappointed product life cycle should be at least 3 years

This monitor was great up until 10 months of use. The pairing mode constantly beeps saying its ready to be paired, pairing failed and error. Btw this happens a lot in the middle of the night when you and baby should be resting and even when it’s not on! Also, the temp reading is at least 20-30 degrees colder or doesn’t even read at all.
Tried customer service before warranty ends at 1 year and all they did was trouble shoot the same as on the instructions. As soon as the year hit they just tell you there’s nothing they can do, even though the first complaint was prior.
I don’t recommend this product, simply for the fact that it causes sleepless nights and you’ll be throwing away your money for a product that only lasts a year or less. I wish I had not purchased it Or at least bought a longer warranty through BB, at least they have better customer service.

This inteuiged me because it had so many more features that a regular baby monitor. The fact we could see our baby from at home with the view screen, and then from anywhere on a phone is compelling.
The 1080p camera quality it fantastic, and I love the fact I can detach the camera and use it anywhere when out of the crib. The added features like the night light and projected light show are a great benefit, and we are just starting to play the songs and audio books, plus we can record and play a personalized message in our own voice
The app is well designed, easy to use, and offers cool extras like growth tracking, articles and more. Lots of little things that pay off, plus I can show off the best baby monitor on the block.

I finally opened this after having it stored away for a month. It was easy to build and attach to the crib. However when it was finally plugged in the camera would not power on when attached to the halo ring. The camera only worked when it was plugged in directly to the power cord. This is clearly a manufacturer defect and a rather huge one at that. Hopefully Best Buy takes it back and dents to Motorola, but very disappointed in the build.

This camera is fantastic when I’m at home and when I’m at work. The only thing is I wish the camera didn’t have to be plugged in to work when not in the crib setting. Also when my husband logs into the online app it kicks me out. Seems we both can’t be logged into it under one account!

We thought this would be the perfect baby camera Due to all the features that the description shows. Everything worked except when my husband was trying to download the app on his phone to connect it to the camera. It never worked; it just kept on saying "error". We decided to keep it because it has the portable baby Monitor at least and it was on clearance.

I set everything up per instructions and of course the tower wasn’t getting power. I will be going with another company for sure.
Also, Motorola customer support is terrible. Only Chat was available and I was told to return the product.

after two years of owning and using they turned off remote viewing unless I pay a one time fee. this is extortion. the screen that comes with the device doesn't have the range to work across my house so without being able to use my tablet or phone to see the screen I can't watch my kid over night. that was the whole reason I bought this device. to come and two years later require money for something that should work offline over wifi in the first place is ridiculous. do not trust this company with any of your money.

After reading many reviews we decided that this camera system would best fit our needs. I can say after less than 3 hours use it is not only completely useless but zero, I repeat zero of the features that this system offers work properly or at all for that matter.
There is a delay of more than 4 seconds on both the audio and video.
You can not talk through this to your child like advertised.
The music features do not work. Nor do the record your own features.
The lights and projector only works when activated on the halo itself.
In short if you value your time or money leave this product on the shelf and get ANY other brand.
