I used to have a Motorola MG7550. 3 years of reliable service. It was a DOCSIS 3.0 so I retired it and confidently upgrade to a Motorola MG8702 with DOCSIS 3.1. I have seen a very good 800 MBPS download speed. I recomend the Motorola MG8702 with DOCSIS 3.1.

I've been using this modem for about 6 months. I think that, if I had to do it again, I'd pass on the purchase. It delivers the speed it promises, but there are sotftware weirdnesses. Most annoying is that there's no configuration back up tool. If you reset your device, you won't have the ability to reload all your settings. How the heck did configuration back-up get overlooked? If you manually assign IP's to some devices, you'll run the risk of trashing your internet access. I've been able to reproduce this several time; assign a handful of IP's via the device mac addresses, and connection to the WAN stops working, with the only fix being a restore to factory defaults (and inability to reload a config). Frustratingly unpredictable. If I could do it all over again, I'd pass on the purchase.

Improves internet speeds BEYOND what my plan calls for. DOCSIS 3.1 is a must if you are on fiber.

Very easy to set up. Excellent performance. I recommend this modem.

Very pleased with this router. It gives me great download and upload speeds and the wifi signal reaches all the rooms in my condo. The management app also offers some useful features (e.g. alerting you if an unrecognized device appears on your network, providing breakdowns of data usage by device/and or profile and also some filtering/blocking abilities).

Amazing router! Working from home me and wife, never disappointed us.

I would have given this 5 stars if it had been a little less expensive. Setup was simple and coverage was good. Setup involved plugging in the cable wire and calling the cable company to give the MAC address. Didn't even need to wire it to the PC.

Installation was quick and simple. I ran a speed test on my old gateway prior to install and then another after with this new one. The results were fantastic and I have a noticeable increase in speed (although probably not the 2x as shown by my test). The only knock on this gateway is that it is quite large compared to my old one. It sits behind my TV though, so it isn't that big of a deal.

This was easy to set u and I have enjoyed the experience, much less expensive than renting from Comcast. This is the second one I have purchased in the last seven years.

My mother in law was complaining her internet was spotty and so far so good this router did the trick! not only are her speeds faster but she also hasn't complained that her many devices connected are having issues. So far a great buy

Seems to be working fine - the signal penetrates throughout my 1,900 sqft house. A little bit overkill for my purposes but better something in reserve than something not strong enough.

High speed modem and router. Easy to set up. Bit pricey but necessary for high speeds and multiple device connections to fast, stable, and reliable wifi connection.

Became "unstable" after about 3 months—in other words, right after the return period had expired. This could be due to the modem itself, or it could be due to my ISP not supporting it, or due to my ISP (COX) wanting to recapture the $5/month I would be paying for their "stable" modem. Whatever it was, this was not the purchase for me. Until the point of apparent failure, it was one of the best modems I've ever used. Since I have no proof about whether this was the modem's issue or the machinations of the ISP, my review counts only for the first three months of use: Good modem. Worth the price. Easily navigable dashboard. Unique dashboard password printed right on the device.

It was really good and really fast I only had it had good results

Easy to use, it's so great that I don't need a separate router. The connection has been solid everywhere within my 700 sqft unit. The design of the modem router is sleek too, fits well into the contemporary style I'm looking for.
