I love it. Not a great camera (in it's default mode - the Pro mode is much better results.) It's display is comparatively dim and weak colors compared to other 2022 models, but still better than the 4 year old Samsung it replaced. But the storage and battery are stellar, and the performance is beyond great for the tier. They def overbuilt this one in the rush to add 5G processing power. The biggest screen for the time is nice, and the stylus is even useful for drawing and painting apps, but not much else. 512GB straight out of the box was amazing surprise (256GB was already a selling win, then opening the box and discovering they included a 256GB SD card already installed - whoah!) Top of tier, and all other above it for storage. At the price - just wow. The battery. The beautiful battery life. Even heavy usage it will get 2 full days from a charge (with screen dimmed for indoor usage - I use an app that lets me toggle diff brightness levels, and 23% is plenty for basic indoor usage, and really stretches the life. It is a huge screen to power) With my average usage, I get 3-4 days between charges (only to 80% from 20-30% starting level. Best for battery health, and *still* amazing.) Performance is snappy and with fancy animations and stuff turned off, immediate results on all scrolling and other inputs. Almost feels like it's anticipating my next move. Cannot recommend enough. 5/5 even with average camera and screen

I really love my Moto G. It has more features than I expected. I like being able to go to any carrier I choose. I like that I can upgrade my device with more memory. Unlike other popular phones you are not allowed to do any updates without having to purchase a new phone. Above all I like the price and the sleek design and the camera as well. I would recommend this brand to anyone.

I really like this phone!! I was a little worried because I always used Samsung phones but it actually isn't bad sh all. I would but it again. Easy to use just be sure and put a shock proof case on immediately. I dropped my new phone the first time I took it out of the box and the screen is broken. Never have I broke a phone screen. I've been devestated

This phone would be adequate; pretty standard Android with nice large screen. However I ordered 256G but it came with 128. It's quirky, doing things randomly. The length means it tips & falls out of pockets. The case scratches easily and it's not resilient. The stylus sometimes pops out. Not sure if the stylus is what's causing the random screen switches etc. Battery is only fair. If you buy this make sure you get a case, screen protector with extras, & insurance. It holds the 4G LTE well, might be okay for a sedentary person.

I purchased this June of 23 and it has been overheating and the battery drains easily. According to BB, I need to talk to Motorola, but they told me it was activated Feb 23, a full 4 months before I bought it, so now they won't fix it since they said it's out of warranty and to talk to Best Buy. When I did, the woman said that they only handle iPhone and that there's absolutely nothing that can be done. Somehow, that doesn't seem quite right, especially after spending so much on a phone. I can't afford to shell out that much all of the time. I was hung up on by the woman I was speaking with at Best Buy . That not the first time it's ever happened either. They never want to resolve issues or let you speak to someone higher. Battery sucks on this phone. It also has apps that are pre-installed that can't be removed or stopped that drain the battery and use up storage.

Looks and sounds good but there is no point in having a phone if it doesn't work. I have had problems with texts & voice mail coming through 15-30 minutes later and ppl can't call me. Either it will not ring at all or they will have to call me four times before it's starts to ring on their end. Thought it was just mine but my mom has the same phone with the same issues.

    Solid Midrange Phone

Bought as a secondary phone for work, works well for that. Stylus is effective for signatures, and some occasional doodling. Standby battery life is impressive. However, when in use, it's quite easy to wipe a full charge out in a day. The Moto features are intrusive and aggravating if you want a simple setup without a ton of spying done on you by the your phone. I spent quite a bit of time deactivating and deleting apps, and turning off settings that I will never use or want. It's not super snappy, but it is functional and plenty capable of doing most everything one would expect a phone to do, aside from graphic intensive things. 256GB of internal storage is great, and it even came with a 256GB microSD card pre-installed! 512GB of storage at this price is unheard of. I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a midrange smart phone that doesn't want to pay an arm and a leg for a 4 year old iPhone or Galaxy.

It's all relative to what type of phone one is coming from to get here. My job needs sped up an already increasing need to move on from my maxed out and ailing 2016 Samsung On5. This Moto G Stylus 5G (2022) is much faster, nicer and bigger. It borders on being a weapon in the hand. It takes some of the best pictures I've ever seen following a trip to the Kennedy Space Center. There was some bragging about the battery life potential, but I haven't seen it and suppose 48 hrs charge life is after you abandon it fully charged for that long. I saw it drop to near 50% over 10 hrs of lightly fiddling with it on and off and a few short calls. It was very I-phonish to me. I'm not a heavy phone user so most of my use is functional necessity; talk, a little texting, picture and video taking. It took me a bit to sort out the controls. The instruction book, or sheet I should say is minimally helpful. First I struggled to figure out how to mute the ringer. After that, I was harassed by app notification sounds when the phone was not in use. Google was the worst offender, after shutting off the all notifications switch in Google, gmail was still sounding off. I finally discovered it's a two tiered, individual process, app and sub app. I am a Metro PCS customer and strongly advise you to shop around before dropping their asking price for this phone. Their upgrade price to this phone was the same as the over the counter to any buyer price at Best Buy 250. The catch, or offense, is that purchasing the phone unlocked from Best Buy netted me 2 additional Gig of memory-8 and double the storage space at 258 Gig. Not very existing customer nice in my opinion from Metro at 6/128. I did purchase a case and screen protector from the Metro PCS store after Best Buy missed the delivery date of those items following waiting a week. The Metro purchase was not a pleasant experience. The sales rep would not tell me the price of a single case among 3 offered, until after I selected one, suggesting he was trying to maintain leverage, by being able to give me his desired minimum price no matter what I chose. Interestingly, I had to get the BBB involved after my initial purchase of the old phone from a Metro PCS store, when the rep signed me up for a different and more expensive plan than what I clearly stated I wanted. Do your homework before you buy.

How do I make a phone call?

Phone features seem to be good, and work well so far. The storage capacity was better than the identical phone at Verizon. That phone only came with 256GB storage, on the phone. This offer had 256 GB in the phone, and a 256 GB SD card, for a total of 512 GB storage! Battery as advertised is 5000mAH, lasting two days. I find that with my normal usage, it will easily last 24 hrs, but that is all. And if I used it more, the battery will last only 15-20 hours. I've only had the phone for four weeks. The representative at the sales counter did a good job setting the phone up, and showing me how to adjust the settings. I commend him on the effort in doing so. I came from a Moto z4, running stock Android 10. This phone runs Android 12. There is a big difference in how the system behaves, and many new variations how the settings can be adjusted. I have not been able to fully understand the manual, and its explanations, to achieve the settings I want, to get the phone to behave the way I want it to. Unexpected outcomes when I adjust settings. Also, my settings seem to change themselves when a system patch occurs. I have to reset them. Motorola and Android have developed phones that are so technically complex, with so many great features, that it is often difficult to make just a phone call.
