I started with the Razer Blade 15 but due to the EXTREME heat that put out I decided to spend the little extra to get the gtx 1070 and give this laptop a whirl. Initial impressions; It is a solid build, not quite as premium as the Razer Blade, but solid. The chassis has a little flex to it but the keyboard is pretty firm. Surprisingly, I kind of like the Steelseries keyboard over the blade chroma. The keys are a tad slippery but they have good snap, good travel time, and the lighting is crisp. Performance is very solid for this price point. I undervolted (-.145) and actually increased the performance of the CPU by a few % while reducing the temp. While playing Overwatch competitive it gets around 140-150fps (I limit FPS to display capability @144htz) and the CPU peaks at about 80 degrees Celsius. Without undervolt it would top out at about 90 degrees. Video card hits about 72 degrees max. All in all its not that bad performance and temp wise. I was going to repaste with liquid metal, but I am not sure if I am going to do that anytime soon to be honest. I cant speak to the SSD because before I even turned it on I broke it open and put in my 2x1tb Samsung MVNE SSDs. It does have 2 m.2 slots which is great, 2 ram slots as well capping at 32gb. The only negative is that the motherboard is inverted so if you want to add a 2nd m.2 or replace the ram you have to actually remove the motherboard to access the other side. I really dont like it but after looking at the design, heat flows up, so with fan placement and openings on the top of the laptop it helps dissipate the heat more easily. All in all its a great laptop with great performance relative to its size. I would definitely buy again!! Pros: -Very nice 144htz display with thin bezels -Thin & light. Travels very easy. -GTX 1070 Max Q handles just about anything you throw at it -Dual M.2 slots -Keyboard Cons -Inverted motherboard for upgrades -Does get a little hot but not Razer Blade 15 hot edit: Price dropped down $200 to $1799 so got some money back which makes it an even better value!

Purchased this laptop during the summer and have been quite pleased with it. Yes, the price is rather expensive and I spent about a month trying to decided between this, the Razer Blade, and Dell XPS. Ultimately, I decided that Razer's quality control was a risk I wasn't willing to make on such a high-priced item and the Dell just didn't have the graphics card worth the price (for my use case scenario). If i had any major complaints, it's that the amount of storage this laptop ships with is rather low, so I did install a Samsung 960 EVO m.2. The motherboard on this laptop is flipped, so it took a bit more work to actually install this, and I figured that it was also a good idea to install my own thermal paste. If you take your time and follow the videos on youtube, it shouldn't be much of a problem. I don't have any complaints with the keyboard or trackpad, both are something I had to get used to as this was my first laptop. The design of this laptop is rather nice; I really enjoy the subtle gold trim throughout, but this finish does attract fingerprints easily. The screen gets plenty bright enough for use indoors, even with plenty of ambient light from the window right behind my workstation. The 144hz refresh is quite nice, 1080p is plenty good and even for light photo editing, I have been pleased. The speakers leave a bit to be desired, but this hasn't been a major concern for me. Gaming has been a joy on this machine and should be able to stand on it's own for at least a few more years. The only issue I've encountered has been the speakers and headphone jack. If I put the laptop to sleep with headphones plugged in, then wake the laptop and unplug the headphones, the internal speakers will not play any sound, so in order to make them work, I do have to restart the laptop. I've tried to uninstall and reinstall the sound drivers, but still encounter this issue. If you're in the market for a gaming laptop that's still very portable you cannot go wrong with this MSI.

I spent an entire month looking at laptops that were highly portability, weighed less than 5Ibs, and had very powerful components all while maintaining a stylish design that did not scream 'Gaming Laptop' to the world. After looking at laptops like the Razer, Alienware R4, Acer Predator Helios 300 and etc, and finding horror stories, negative customer reviews and learning about the common complaints that was associated to each of laptops of interest, I found this beautiful laptop that fit the criteria of everything I wanted in a Laptop: Portable, Stylish, Powerful, and no usual issues. So I am happy to own this beautiful laptop Even the packaging was amazing, it has an out case that had protective foam to protect the inner case containing the laptop, with the laptop cover in final layer ensuring that it is protect from the moment it's purchased to the moment it's opened. ---------------------------------------------Pros----------------------------------------- 1.) The laptop is very light, weighing in at about 4 pounds, which I love because most of my laptops have been weighing in at 9ib and up 2.) The laptop contains a 1070 Max-Q GPU that is able to play just about any game you want on this laptop with at least high settings (tested with Tekken 7, Nier Automata, Crash Bandicoot, Call of Duty WW2 and etc). I am very happy with this laptop's power. 3.) The laptop can heat up fast, due to it's small size, when dealing with intensive programs. But this is dealt with by the cooler boost trinity (will make audible noise) ---------------------------------------------Cons---------------------------------------- 1.) I have not been able to use this laptop for 8+ hours straight on a single charge, but it's still great for a laptop of it's size with the power that it contains all while having a professional appearance to it 2.) finger print magnet

My first impressions of this laptop have been high! This laptop even out performs my desktop. The 8th gen i7 really puts performance to the test and the 1070 GTX card puts most other graphics cards to shame. I havent been able to dip below 60-75 fps on max settings for PUBG or Quake Champions. That 144hz screen refresh really helps with any screen tearing. It is a great laptop. Look 10/10 Gaming Performance 10/10. I simply can't say anything better about it. Even battery life is great. If you are looking to game on a non clunky looking laptop, then this is the one for you.

Great Gaming Laptop for size and price

Love this Laptop for its size/portability and power while remaining a fair price. I did a lot of research before making this purchase while closely reviewing the competition. This laptops biggest bottleneck and the only reason I do not give a 5 star is because of the poor quality solid state drive that is used. This is something that is replaceable and why I did not score lower because of it. It just is very frustrating to have phenomenal quality parts but then be limited to being able to play a game because the hard drive wants to max out at 100%. More often than I would like to admit. If MSI is able to correct this with the 2019 Models I have no doubt they will again lead the competition in best gaming laptop for 2019.

While I haven't owned this laptop for very long (only a couple months) it's a great improvement over the old Lenovo laptop I was originally using. I've been using this laptop for coding projects, drawing, and gaming; and this laptop has been meeting all expectations that I had going off other reviews. It's a generally thinner, lightweight laptop, so it's easy to take it on the go. Currently I have a Targus Strata laptop sleeve that I can use to carry this laptop, along with a notebook. If/when you want to upgrade it's SSD or RAM, it's important to note that the motherboard is flipped, so you'll have to remove the motherboard in order to access those components (thankfully, there are many online resources that go through step by step breakdowns) I've played multiple hours of Monster Hunter World with no major issues, though it does heat up quite a bit after a period of time of more demanding gaming. Most indie games I've played usually don't have this issue. The fans can become louder with more intensive work, but usually if you're wearing headphones, it will not be a problem. The keyboard is satisfying to type one, and visually appealing (especially with those lights)

For starters the new MSI Stealth laptop was my first real (not company) laptop that I've had since an old Mac Book Pro from at least 10 years ago. I needed a laptop that could destroy huge Excel databases for SEO research and at the same time allow me to enjoy a few hours in Witcher, PUBG, or Divinity. I am happy to say that after a few weeks with this bad boy, I am extremely happy with my purchase. Not only does it look great (coworkers have no clue this machine can game) but it has sped up some of my daily work-related processes to boot. But let's face it if you are buying this laptop you are probably a gamer. I am happy to say that I had no issues so far and while it's not as beefy as my 1080 ti custom desktop rig at home, it does let me enjoy any game I've thrown at it. If there is one complaint, and I don't see how this could be fixed really, is with the bottom of the laptop getting hot. It get's so hot that it could probably burn skin and at least fry an egg. I have managed to fix this issue with a laptop cooler stand and have had no problems since purchasing one ($20 on amazon). I would also give 2 thumbs up to the keyboard and the battery life. Both have served me well. I would give this laptop, 47 loot boxes out of 58 laughing wookies.

I debated between ordering this GS-65 and the Gigabyte Aero 15x for a while, but ultimately decided on the MSI. Incredibly glad I did! This laptop is pretty fantastic. I use it for a combination of work, training, and gaming. The design of this laptop is awesome, a huge step up from the previous red/black color schemes of other MSI laptops and much more comfortable to use at work. The gold/black scheme is more subdued without being boring or plain. The keyboard layout is perfect, with appropriately sized keys (the Gigabyte keyboard is incredibly cramped with the numpad and smaller keys). There's no weird layout issues like there is on the Razer Blade 15. I don't use the RGB keyboard stuff much, but a HUGE pro about the keyboard is that the function keys light up when pressing the Fn button, lighting up to display the function they provide. Performance on this thing is great. I recently used this laptop at a LAN party for 5-6 hours straight, and never encountered any throttling from heat. The 144hz display is one of those things you don't know you need until you have it, then you'll never be able to go back. Fans get louder, but definitely don't get loud. Easily the best laptop purchase I've ever made.

I was torn between this GS65 and the Gigabyte Aero 15x. After reading other reviews of the 15x running hotter and its heftier price tag, I decided on the GS65. I needed a laptop that was portable, had decent enough battery life, and good performance for multitasking and occasional gaming. This laptop delivers. Pros: -Keyboard. The key travel is short on the keyboard, but the keys are very tactile and register a press as soon as you feel the feedback. I don't care much for the RGB lighting, but the keyboard defaults to a gold color that matches the device's trim. -Screen. The screen is fantastic and probably my favorite part. Colors pop and the 144Hz refresh rate makes everything feel so smooth. This is my first time using a display with a high refresh rate, and it'll be hard to go back to 60Hz. -Performance. Wow does this thing fly. 6 cores/12 threads destroys everything I've thrown at it, from games to photo editing. The RAM is dual channel, which is nice since other 16 GB models of this notebook are only single channel. Though the SSD is SATA rather than NVMe, it is still plenty fast, and loads programs and games very quickly. The 1070 Max-Q delivers great gaming performance, and I achieved an average of 92 fps in Far Cry 5 and 85 fps in GTA V. -Battery. For a gaming laptop, the battery is great. Yesterday I was able to web browse and work (no gaming) for 6 hours away from the charger. It's no ultrabook, but it also packs much more powerful hardware. The lack of G-Sync also means that it can switch between the 1070 and the integrated graphics, which stretches out the battery more than just using the 1070. Cons: -Noise. When gaming, this thing gets LOUD. On auto setting, the fans can get loud enough to drown out sounds from the speakers. Everything runs cool (the max temp I've seen is 82C), but it comes at the cost of crazy volume. I use headphones most of the time, but this could be an issue for some people. -Build quality. I haven't seen the same amount of chassis flex that others are experiencing, but the build is just ok. The laptop creaks when I pick it up, and the screen flexes a good amount when opening the lip from a corner. It's not bad enough that I'm worried about the longevity, but this thing wouldn't survive even a small drop or heavy objects being placed on top of it. Overall I'm giving it 4 stars because I feel the cons do not detract from the experience of using and gaming on the GS65. It's not a perfect notebook, but if your priorities are portability and performance and are willing to tolerate the noise, it's pretty great.

First off, I have had to rewrite this review twice now as the BestBuy.com system seems to break each time... Without that out of the way, here is my review. As my first gaming laptop ever, I have to say that the MSI is living up to my expectations. I have been able to play Witcher 3, PUBG, and Dark Souls 3 on it without any issues whatsoever. I am even able to gamestream it over to my Nvidia TV and play games via my OLED at home. Good Stuff!!! My only issue with this laptop is that the bottom can get hot...like really HOT. So hot it could easily burn your leg or cook an egg. That being said, once I bought a cheap laptop cooling tray from Amazon ($25), I haven't had much issues. As far as for my daily work is concerned, the computer really shines, especially handling the huge databases that I have to work with in Excel. Other notable things: Keyboard works great and feels great, the lights and gold design touches are nice and have got me a few compliments, and the all my battery has been great for me so far. Overall I would happily give this 48 Estus Flasks out of 55 Pivot Tables.

I bought the MSI GS65 Stealth Thin 037 from Best Buy as a replacement for my DELL Precision 7510 and Alienware M18x, both great machines that I've had for a couple of years. This MSI screamer essentially gives me the best of both, in a package that's a FRACTION the size of the Alienware, and smaller than the Precision, as well. The packaging is outstanding - the box-within-a-box is as sleek looking as the laptop itself. The setup was SIMPLE, and it worked as advertised out of the box. I ran Windows Updates, and nVidia updates, and then started loading my software. Performance is spectacular - the 6-core i7 is crazy good. Games, development tools, databases, etc., all are noticeably peppier on this than their previous homes. The size is hard to believe - so much power, yet thin, and light. The fan, thus far, has kept things cool. The trackpad is responsive, better than on my previous laptops, and the steel series keyboard is great. I'm 100% happy with the purchase, and will (and have) recommended it to others. Can't beat the performance/size/price mix.

The build quality feels nice and the thing is crazy fast with the new generation CPU. The exterior does not get too hot. (although while playing games you will notice quickly that it is warm) Also on that note. while playing games you will also notice that the fans get pretty loud if you let the fans go on auto. I cannot complain since I did not run into any thermal issues yet. Also, the keyboard is really cool and the design of the laptop is very nice IMO!

I chose this laptop because of the versatility. I can do office work during day time, play high end games in the night and most important easiness to carry around because of the light weight. I did mainly following in my 5 months of use. => Image editing using Lightroom I could see the significant performance improvement with rendering the images and exporting the images. Also I could see the true color which helped me in tweaking colors and contrast. => Played PC games Far Cry 3&4, Rise of the Tomb Raider I didn't notice any lag while playing with ultimate settings and witnessed stunning scenes. I could find two minor issues though. First, system get heated up after playing like 30min nonstop near to the power button even though keys are not affected by it. Second, the heavy sound from the fans while playing games is easy to notice. => Coding with Node JS, Visual Studio Just like Lightroom performance, it is very fast and you will see the results very fast. Coding will be more fun to do without breaking the flow. => Video call Picture quality is decent even in low light. Camera is placed in regular position. The Goods=> It's an engineering marvel to have just one laptop which will do everything with sleek design and I loved the golden dragon emblem and lines. It is a high performance beast. The bad=> I had one issue with WiFi one day. My WiFi got disabled and it won't detect any WiFi signals. I tried reinstalling the drivers and it didn't help. After 2 days it started working as a Miracle without any issues and didn't face the issue again. My verdict=> I highly recommend buying it and use it for long years to come.

With the video card market as ridiculous as it is, I started looking into laptops that would fill the void in my next upgrade. I stumbled across this laptop and, after looking at the alternatives, had to get this one. I purchased this as a desktop replacement/VR rig, so my review will take that into consideration. Pros: Fast (and I mean, FAST) Handles VR gaming effortlessly Excellent screen (for non-VR games) Touchpad supports all Windows 10 gestures LED Keyboard has some fun patterns Looks like a normal laptop (not "Gaming") Lightweight for its capabilities Cons: Hot (and I mean, HOT) Difficult Upgrades Case is thin/flimsy in spots Other thoughts: Given heat being my biggest concern, when I eventually crack the case open to add another M.2 card I will be reapplying a higher quality thermal paste to hopefully help temps.

This is the second one of this same laptop. I purchased the first one from a local Best Buy, but upon turning it on I found the backlighting to be too irregular. I have a big issue with that, but not everybody will notice and/or care about it. Because of backlighting tech, there's no actual black, but illuminated grey. That's the state of the technology, I suppose. I/you just have to accept that. The keyboard is the best that I've ever used on a laptop. It's a pleasure to type on it. It's just the right amount of clicky without being loud enough for others to hear you typing. The multicolor keyboard backlighting is solid, but the secondary keys are just painted on, which was disappointing. It makes no sense that they wouldn't have just gone the tiny extra step. The Razor line does the same thing. The sound leaves much to desire over my last laptop which had great sound (HP Envy 17 3D 2010). This one has a tinny weak sound that can barely be heard over light coffeehouse chatter and music. The sound from the headphone jack is very solid though with no noticeable line noise while plugged in but so far I can't find options to tweak the sound profile for my various headphones. I haven't had a chance to really test the performance, but most of the professional reviews put this near the top amongst laptops with this form factor. The fans have only kicked up a few times since I've used it and they're a little loud, but not the loudest I've ever heard. There's a small amount of fan whine while the laptop is running, but nothing that's wildly distracting. This laptop has a mother and gpu facing up, so installations of ram and storage will take a bit more finesse to accomplish. In the end, this setup will probably extend the life of the laptop. The vent game is on point for something this slim. The port selection is reasonable. It's got everything most people will need..... except for a dang SD card port. Dongle city, here I come. At least I won't need one for connecting to ethernet, unlike Apple or Razor laptops. Both of which don't have an SD port either. The build quality is fair, but not great. The build quality of both Razor and Apple laptops is better than this one, but it's a trade-off. This laptop would more than likely be $400 more expensive and would have heat dissipation problems. I'd rather have a cheaper frame than have the fans blasting under medium load (Razor) or CPU/GPU throttling (Apple). There's a small bit of frame flex when my palms are on the wrist rest that causing a tiny bit of plastic creak. I'll correct it when I install more ram and storage though. In summary, I have a good feeling that this laptop will serve me well for the next few years. Time will tell. If it blows up next week, you'll be the first to know after I get out of the burn clinic. ;)

Purchased this after reading and watching a number of reviews. Overall really impressed with this laptop. Enough power and performance for running games like Fortnite, State of Decay 2, and Gears of War. Screen is bright and sharp with really good contrast. Black levels are pretty good for a laptop. Heard complaints about the stiffness of the trackpad, but honestly it seems fine to me. Tracking and scrolling is very smooth. 144Hz refresh rate finally on a laptop that doesn't weight 5+ pounds. Fans can get loud when playing games, but it is tolerable for what is packed into this design. Keyboard is nice and responsive, even if you have to give up the number pad. Ports are standard and the inclusion of Thunderbolt 3 is welcome on this expensive of a laptop. Looking forward to may years of usage.

TLDR: I was configuring a different model/brand and was about to buy when I saw an ad for this one and immediately stopped. If you're looking for a 15" Ultrabook style laptop that can run VR and like me, hate the number pad on laptops, this is probably the best laptop on the market. I bought this for heavy work (development, system/administration, running VMs, 2-3 extra monitors, etc.) and for gaming of all sorts but especially because I wanted to be able to bring my VR rig other places and not need a desktop to run it. It does all of this amazingly without feeling like it's a chore to carry around with me. -- The build quality of this laptop is 9.5/10 -- there's a little flex but overall very well built and lightweight, I'm not worried about anything breaking. The exterior looks and feels like a business/professional laptop and not something trying shout for attention with sounds and strobing lights everywhere (but... you can absolutely make it do that if you want -- I like choices). The screen is amazing to have on a laptop, both the refresh and color are fantastic. The webcam is positioned on the top bezel unlike the nose-cams of some others. The keyboard feels great to type on and if you hate the number pad on a laptop offsetting your hands, you'll know why the home/pgup/pgdn/end row on the right side, bar-none, is the best layout (fight me) and something I've been waiting to see for a long time with specs like these. Also, the power button isn't where the delete key is (thank you MSI, finally). The programmable backlighting is equal parts eye-candy and productive. I have zones set to better locate keys in general or for certain applications and being able to switch profiles on the fly with a keystroke works perfectly. Initially, I had some issues with the profiles not wanting to change after a standby (I believe) but after a couple updates to Windows and the SteelSeries Engine software I haven't had a problem since. The only bone I must pick is that the function key belongs on the left side of the spacebar and I honestly can't figure out why MSI can't ditch it for the need for the extra backslash/pipe key on the right side of the spacebar. I just remapped that key to ALT to get around the annoyance. I've read that others have had issues or complaints with the touchpad however I have not found any. I am still using the Synaptics driver and was planning on replacing them with Precision drivers but so far, I've had no need -- don't fix something that isn't broken. As a note, I don't press the bottom corners of the touchpad to left/right click. Ever since it became popular to remove the physical buttons from laptops, I retrained myself to use touchpads like you would on a Mac -- tap to click, two-finger tap for right click, double-tap and hold to drag, two/three finger scrolling, etc. so it's possible if there are some problems I don't use it in a way that will affect me. Bottom line is it worked great out of the box. The stock cooling is better than I expected – it’s great, actually. Yes, gaming will crank up the fan nose and heat, but it does manage to keep up. I do however absolutely recommend checking some guides/forums on ways to reduce the heat without losing performance, most of which can be done with software tweaking. I was planning on buying this laptop through a reseller to get a "factory" re-paste on the CPU/GPU, but it happened that BB had the model I wanted on sale for significantly less (as a base configuration) than where I was looking so I couldn't really pass it up. I may investigate repasting in the future, but I've had no real need. I also use a simple thin/light lapdesk from Cooler Master for when I'm lounging. With any laptop, you absolutely don't want legs/clothing/blankets/whatever blocking the air intakes or you’re going to feel some heat. MSI's fan design on this model really shines here since the air-intakes are on both sides of the fans (under and on-top) and exhausting on the sides and out the back. I was surprised to find that the factory Windows installation wasn’t chock-full of bloatware that I felt the need to remove. Overall it was a relatively clean install compared to what I'm used to seeing from a store. I did remove some of the apps/utilities/games (from Microsoft, MSI, others) that it came with and re-merged the partition into one. I'll add a second drive to use as data/media storage and keep apps/games on the main drive maybe down the road. Not much else I can think of here. Couple things I'd change if I could, but none were show-stoppers and were easy to work around or deal with. I've spent the last 1.5 years looking at this style of laptops and there have always been one or two things that just didn't sit right so I always held-off. This and others in the same class are obviously not cheap and I absolutely did not want buyer's remorse after spending this much. After all the reviews I've seen, testing it in-store and now owning it, I'm 100% happy with my purchase.

To start, I would like to say I have a difficult making decisions when it comes to purchases of this magnitude. The amount of anxiety it gives me to wonder if I've made a terrible mistake or made the right decision is usually just worth me toughing it out with my current device. A little background on me; I have owned two HP laptops and until a few days ago was on my second MacBook Pro. I switched to MacOS because I had a few friends that worked at Apple and they raved about theirs (as they should). I also asked many people how they liked their MacBooks and never got a negative response. So, since I was just starting up school again, I figured I would give it a shot. Unfortunately for Apple, my degree in cyber security is becoming more Windows dependent. I tried parallels to use a virtual machine on my Mac, but my RAM wasn' t up to snuff. I asked Apple how I could upgrade my memory only to be told it is soldered to the motherboard....so I should just buy another one. Sure! Let me shell out $2500 for something that isn't compatible with my classes *facepalm* So, I decided I was going to research. My initial gut reaction was to get the HP Spectre, but I wanted something different. In my research, I learned a gaming laptop would be best for me, since I will be eventually learning programming and running multiple operating systems. In short, gaming laptops seem to be the ones who can best handle a large workload. This turned me to YouTube, where I watched reviews on a ton of different laptops. MSI kept appealing to me. The Steelseries keyboard with color changing excited my inner dork and overall they just looked like devices that could handle a great workload. The only apprehensions I had were the battery life, as MSI is not well-known for much more than 4 or 5 hours of battery life. Being A) an online student who does a bulk of work in coffee shops and libraries, and B)having a cat who has an affinity for chewing on cords, I figured better battery life would be a good idea, so I waited. Fast forward to a couple months ago, and MSI released the GS65 Stealth Thin. This laptop seemed to answer all my prayers. It's a gaming laptop, has a great keyboard (according to reviews), and can handle quite a large workload. I was originally a little apprehensive due to the price, but thanks to the no-interest financing at Best Buy, I decided to give it a try. Even though I am not super far into owning this laptop, I am very pleased with its performance. Here are some of the pros and cons: PROS: *Battery life is great! Not quite up to what the MacBook is, but certainly better than other gaming laptops. *The screen is nice and bright! It forces me to run it around 40% in most settings I am in so it doesn't hurt my eyes. *The Steelseries keyboard is a pleasure to type on. Coming from a MacBook, this says a lot. I do mis-hit some keys from time-to-time, but I feel this will pass as I continue to adjust to a different laptop. *Gaming is great! I use Blue Stacks to play some mobile games on here, but the games perform much better here than they did on my MacBook. I haven't installed a different OS yet, but I will do that eventually. *Build Quality....I will say many people complained about this, but the quality seems nice to me. I'm sorry others had a bad experience. Just keep in mind when you buy a slim, lightweight performance laptop, it might not feel as solid because they have to cut some corners somewhere.... *Battery life is great for a gaming laptop. Just be prepared for your battery life to drop if you are using the full capabilities of the gaming portions of the laptop. That's par for the course with ANY laptop. Cons: *I'm not super happy with the trackpad. I will say I've been a Mac owner for the last 4-5 years, so it's possible I just need to get used to this one. I do have a wireless mouse, so if it continues to be a problem to get used to I have that option. *The price. I will say it's a fair price for the laptop, considering what it does, but I didn't want to spend quite this much on a laptop (although I'm happy I did). Overall, MSI hit the nail on the head with an amazing laptop. I think this laptop will fit perfectly into my lifestyle and I encourage anyone who is on the fence to take a chance on this laptop, you won't be disappointed.

I use this laptop primarily for gaming and coding and it handles both of these functions flawlessly. I have run games such as Witcher 3 and various FPS games and the refresh rate on this is very noticeably better than anything under 144 . Does get a little hot and fans run audibly but no hotter or louder than other gaming laptops I have tried. The weight on this is the real seller, it looks like a laptop you can bring to the office and the same laptop you can bring to the next gaming session, and doesn't weigh you down. I actually enjoy this keyboard as well, I write a lot on it and even without being mechanical ,it has a semi tactile feel and good key travel distance. Would recommend for the price point.

This laptop is a BEAST! I was originally not even planning to get a gaming laptop due to my desire to build a desktop PC. I simply needed a capable laptop for school work and mild coding. This laptop has erased my need to even build a desktop, while also containing the specs I was aiming for at a cheaper price! The overall aesthetic is simple and beautiful. It is all black with a gold trim. It seems to have a matte-like finish so it easily gets fingerprints (make sure those fingers aren't greasy) but easily wipes away with a cloth. The keyboard is a SteelSeries, which is built for gaming and has RGB lights that you can easily customize. The screen is nice, but don't expect it to look like Dell's Infinity Edge displays. It's a simple 1080P screen with a high 144GHZ refresh rate for gaming. I've been able to run Fortnite, Overwatch, the Call of Duty Black Ops 4 Beta, Civilization 6, and State of Decay 2 all on the highest graphics settings while still achieving over 60 frames per second! The irony is that it's able to do this while being the same weight and size of my old and significantly less powerful Samsung notebook. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a high-end gaming machine with the portability of a laptop! You do not need the fat Alienware laptop! Side-by-side, this machine achieves similar heights without feeling nor looking like a calculus textbook .
