Great PC, needs better cooling. I actually took the parts out and used a different case, power supply, RAM, and added a better cooler. I didn’t need to because this prebuilt is actually great out of the box, I didn’t do any thermal testing but a 120mm AIO with an i7-11700 is just not enough. If you decide to get this, upgrade cooler and you’re set. The MSI case is actually really cool and I want to do a built in it.

Review after 6 months: this is a good machine overall. It runs fast, has a great gpu, better components than the vast majority of prebuilts and very nice aesthetics with the mystic lighting. As long as gpu's remain unavailability to ordinary consumers, the Aegis line is a great value. However, the aesthetics are a poor tradeoff for MSI's subpar house-brand AIO, which is loud enough to be distracting even when the computer is idle. Frankly, this cooler is an absolute joke compared to the six year old Corsair h100i that is still running nicely, and reasonably quietly, in my old 6600k/gtx1070 build. I am mainly posting this review to confirm that a Noctua NH-D15S, with chromax heatsink covers, fits just fine in this machine, runs dead quiet and looks pretty clean. (See image.) I wish I had made this change months ago instead of grinding my teeth listening to the MSI AIO for so long. For reference, the hardest part of swapping out the MSI cooler is carefully cutting a couple of zip ties and gently prying off the stock MSI cooler backplate, which is affixed with a pair of adhesive strips. I recommend that anyone who buys this, or any other MSI machine that includes an MSI cooler, budget for a new cooler. AIO's look cool, but these days, the good air cooler's are quieter and seemingly more effective. MSI's bios is also a far cry from what I was used to with prior Asus boards. Go in with low expectations on this front, and disappointment is avoidable.

Least painful way to get a top-tier GPU

If you’re someone who’s looking to refresh their entire PC setup, this is definitely one of the least painful options you can choose in the current PC component market. Out of the box should satisfy the needs of most people who buy this, but there are some choice upgrades you can add to really maximize performance. I dropped in a Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 3600 MhZ RAM kit, replaced the standard AIO with a top mounted MSI MAG Series CORELIQUID 240R AIO, replaced the standard thermal pase with Arctic MX-5, and added a couple of HDDs to suppliment the 1TB SSD. With all those upgrades, I was able to overclock the entire system to meet the 3600 Mhz RAM speed and push the i7 11700KF to max speeds with thermals never breaking 50 degrees celsius under strenuous gaming sessions.

My first PC ever! Quality components and clean wiring as other comments already mentioned without additional costs. Only complain was CPU running 70c idle and 100c on load, thought was due to insufficient cooling provided by a 120 aio or bad thermal paste application. Replaced with a new Msi mag 240r aio and now it hardly reaches 70c under load! 3080 lhr is ok for me given the crazy market and I’m not mining, it’s running around 70 under load which is ok, maybe I’ll replace the thermal pads in the future. This card is powerful enough to handle triple 2k monitors with around 100fps for sim racings which is a surprise to me! Oh for the out of box high cpu temperature, I found the protection sticker on the water block was not even removed before applying the thermal paste, which is totally ridiculous! And the back plate is glued to the mobo it took me some time to remove it. Another thing is it came with 2 drives and 700 GB allocated to the C drive, it took me some time to redo this. In general I spent sometime tweaking it but I love this build so far!

Overall, I was impressed with the design, parts, and performance of this machine. Bought this mostly just to get something with an Nvidia RTX 3080 (impossible to get, costs nearly as much standalone from scalpers). Parts are all premium mid-to-high end stuff rather than bargain/budget components like many prebuilts. I replaced the original 120mm cooler with a 240mm, I like my CPU to be nice and chilly, and here's why I knock a star off: when I removed the original cooler and bracket, the thermal paste was only in contact with about 70% of the CPU (see pic). The installer had obviously put a blob of paste off-center and then didn't install the CPU heat block evenly. When I removed the backplate for the new cooler, one of the two foam tape strips still had plastic backing on it. Besides those obvious mistakes, nothing else has been an issue at all. I added a 2 TB NVME 2nd drive, and fully wiped it to eliminate bloatware. Runs everything like a dream, CPU temps around 70 max with a Corsair iCue H100i 240mm all-in-one cooler. GPU hits around 75 max with full benchmark loads, memory junction around 90 (some other RTX 3080s hit 100+ on mem junction, so this MSI card is pretty good). Idle temps are amazing and the fans are very quiet on idle: 30 CPU, 35 GPU. Benchmarks with no overclocking: Firestrike: 28548 Timespy: 16032 Port Royal: 11145 One final note, when the fans are all kicking up under load, they aren't super loud, and just sound like rushing air, I don't hear any coil whine or high pitched annoying sounds at all.

My first beast! 3080 is sooo awesome. GPU- Msi 3080 Ventus 3x OC LHR Ram- XPG GAMMIX D10 16GB(2 x 8GB) DDR4 It has shown excellent performance on 3A game. Temp is about 70-80, occasionally hitting 90. And it’s very quiet cause its aio liquid cooling. Don’t know whether LHR version gpu would influence the performance when running deep learning projects. Maybe I’ll try it later or someone else could kindly tell me! Thanks :)

This is a great pre-built. If you want to build, go ahead. might save a few bucks and joy of building. But if you want to plug and play right away. Get this. It comes with a MSI Z590 Pro motherboard. Good motherboard but easy replaceable in the future. 16gb XPG D10 ram. I right away switch this to some RBG corsair pro. But the XPG isn't terrible ram. (Log into BIOS to unlock ram speed. My was set at 2133mhz). The SSD is a adata Swordfish 1tb which is fine. Now why you buy this prebuilt. CPU and GPU. CPU - Intel i7 is a beast. Thermals are great. I played multiple games and thermals stay below 80s. Warzone the only game that pushed it that high for me so far. Destiny, rdr2, horizon are some games the CPU stays in the 60-70s. People have mentioned thermals are a big high but that can also depend where you live i guess. I'm in jersey which cool weather now. I did add a dual fan cool master on top of the case so maybe that's helping a bit with thermal. GPU - MSI Ventus 3x 10G OC LHR. Yes, its LHR but if you arent crypto mining, then its not a big deal. This thing is a monster. The GPU alone is half the price of the desktop. (inflated prices right now). Thermals again are great with this. 60-70s average. Benchmark attached..

MSI components are good, but the foam fill pushed the graphics card damaging the connector on the one I got, so I will be returning. If you buy, just do a thorough check of the PCI connector of the GPU and confirm no damage. Overall super clean build and room for additional components.

Pretty good overall for a prebuilt. Very quiet and no overheating or throttling issues. Cpu temps with the 120mm cooler run in the mid 80s-90s. GPU temps -70-75. Dedicated RGB LED button is nice. Cable management is pretty decent and overall its a pretty clean build. Graphics Card- Msi 3080 Ventus 3x OC LHR (Low Hash Rate) SSD- M.2 Adata sx6000NLP MB-MSI z590 Pro Wifi Ram - XPG (unsure of the model) PSU - technology 750w gold

This is my first gaming PC. Wanted to try and build one myself, but with the prices for GPUs, I decided to jump on this. Out of the box, it’s pretty warm with the current cooling system it has. The 120mm AIO does it’s job, but it’s okay. I bought the MSI 240mm MAG liquid core to replace it. Installing the 240mm was a hassle due to backplate that holds the latch for the processor being glued to the back metal frame for the old 120mm AIO. Notice a huge difference in temps, used to get 74C~83C with the 120. With the 240 I’m pulling 60C~72C, barely reach above 70C. Added some photos of the 120mm AIO and 240mm AIO. Overall a great product. Wiring is neat, but can be a hassle if you have to remove wires due to the zip ties. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this if it comes back in stock. Loving the 3080.

Very solid gaming PC. Like some others, I found the cooler was undersized and swapped it out with the MSI 240r cooler, installed on the top of the case. I was experiencing CPU max temps in the 90-95 deg C range originally and with the new cooler it gets no higher than around 55 degC. The sdram is adequate but I upgraded to 64GB of Corsair Dominator sdram. The motherboard is capable of a gen 4 SSD, but mine came with a Gen 3 SSD, so I added in a Samsung 980 Pro. Lastly, I added SSD heatsinks and a WD Black 4TB hard drive to complete my system. It super fast and I am able to play Microsoft Flight Simulator in 4k with no problems whatsoever. Adobe Photoshop boots up in about 5 seconds. I recently added the Oculus VR and it's simply amazing but you will need the Link cable with the PC. I've been very happy with MSI support as well. I wish they hadn't split up the 1TB SSD into two partitions, but it's okay. Lastly, I opted for a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse. I love the case although I have the glass case cover against a wall so I can't see inside, but it looks sharp otherwise. At this price point, I don't think you can go wrong and it includes the Windows 11 upgrade although I don't think I will jump on that right away. It runs very quiet in blalanced mode.

I purchased two of these machines for my wife and myself. First of the all the level of protection MSI put in place to keep this machine from harm was astounding. See pictures. I’ve been a fan of Asus for many years but couldn’t find a desktop computer that I wanted until my brother recommended MSI. The computer is so beautiful but so quiet at the same time! I was worried about the reviews of over heating. I installed “core temp” app to keep tabs on my pic temperature and warn me if temps exceed 175 degrees F. As long as your pc stays under 175, it’s Normal. I love MMO games and have been playing Eve Online since 08, tested the pc with the game with all the graphics on high. The temp maintained between 104-111. Naturally when I dropped graphics to medium, the temp dropped. I’ve had an over lock on all my gaming systems over the years but never used as it will increase the temp quite a bit. Other than that I am quite happy within the first 24hrs of owning this desktop

Mine came with the 3080 x trio LHR, purchased for gaming not mining anyhow. Temps were mid 80s for the CPU until going into bios and locking all fans at 100%, no it's not loud and Temps are now mid 70's. GPU runs 80ish. The RGB works as it should. Added a 2TB 970 Evo plus, keep in mind you will have to obtain the standoff and screws as these items did not come with the pc... Memory is ok, but xmp was not turned on in bios so it will be defaulted to 2666 not 3000 upon arrival. Will upgrade to 3600 eventually... The stock m.2 is fast but not Gen 4. Motherboard is a z590 pro wifi, well reviewed model, other than eventually going with a 240mm rad in the top, the system is well built and much better thermals than other prebuilts with only 2 fan setups. Filters are easy to access, one on top, one in front and one under the psu. With the gpu market the way it is, a prebuilt was a viable option to obtain one, and the price of this pc with 10% off was within cost of building one myself with msrp pricing... Minimal bloatware, kudos MSI for that. Game

Price: Good price for the time with parts being so scarce and price inflation. Packaging: Safe and secure, was please to see good packing measures taken. Out of the box: I have built my own for years so I did a quick look through of the build and was impressed to see some nice cable management. Worked flawlessly on first start up. Components: CWT 750w PSU (never used before in any of my builds, because I never hard of it). Has an 80 gold, working good so far. Motherboard: Appears to be MSI Z590 seems pretty good. I was able to install some extra SSDs, 1 additional NVME and 2.5 SSD RAM: XPG 3000, I've had this in a previous prebuilt at one time, the brand is pretty good and works. GPU: MSI 3080 Ventus 3X 10G (I have not done anything special to it runs just fine) Cooling: 120mm AIO is not enough just plain and simple, it works but temps are on the higher side. The only true CON I can really see. Case: Nice, good looking, solid case. I was able to install the extra SSDs with ease. You would just need the extra cables and drives of course. Extra cables for upgrades are not included. Gameplay: I have played COD: Warzone with Normal/high settings (115-150 fps), Fortnite regular settings I always use (I cap at 200 fps), ESO handles the game nicely as well. Review was done after two months of use.

This is a great pre-built, but it does have some thermal issues. The I7-11700 runs pretty hot. I ended up replacing the 120mm aio with a 240mm aio and undervolted it too. I went from temps in the 80's and 90's to rarely hitting the mid 70's. The ventus 3080 runs a bit hot itself. The card os known to run hot and it still stays in a safe temp range, but just barely. Other than that, this thing is a beast and runs everything I've thrown at it amazingly. If you don't mind doing a little tinkering, this is a great machine. Overall I'm impressed and happy with it.

I was surprised with the components that came in my version that aren't listed in the best buy specs. They were better than I was expecting z590 pro wifi motherboard (advertised z490) 750 watt power supply (advertised as 650) MSI 3080 gaming x trio (I've seen other people unbox a MSI 3080 ventus 3x) The 16gb ram is 3000 MHz Overall I think this is the best prebuilt with a 3080 for the price, with graphics cards being expensive right now. I upgraded the liquid cooler to a 240mm because I think that a 120mm pump isn't enough for proper gpu cooling.
