This is my first build, this board was highly recommended. Worked with the ryzen cpu out of the box without any bios updates. Easy to work with and adjust bios.

For the price it’s a good mother board has some good features like 4 fan headers but will have to buy a more expensive one if you want WiFi or Bluetooth.

Great MOBO at its price point. Could be better, however, it could be a lot worse. Easy to build on and the RGB looks fine.

It's been a while since I built my own PC and this time I was helping my 14 yo build his first. Easy to install motherboard with clear instructions. Just don't miss the nvme special screw in it's own bag - we ended up bending our nvme stick before we realized we installed it wrong. No harm no foul just read the directions fully first!

    Phenomenal Board, "Eh" Software

The MSI Tomahawk Max is a beast of a budget motherboard. Allowing multiple slots for different cards and four slots for RAM, it gives you the full capabilities of a full sized motherboard at the same price of smaller motherboards. The added RGBs are a plus but they are standard RGBs and not aRGB. The MSI software is kind of "eh" but that does not take away the capabilities of this budget board.

The Tomahawk series is well known, this is probably the most popular B450 motherboard out and there is good reason for it. Decent VRMs, plenty of fan headers, BIOS flashback, actually black PCB unlike some other brands which are a dark brown. Overall it's a great B450 board and I'd recommend it. I am not a fan of the Mystic Light RGB software though.

Ever since B550 motherboards were released, it’s been a struggle to find them. But thankfully, as someone who personally doesn’t overclock, having this be Ryzen 3000 ready, I was able to match this up with a 3700X without having to worry about bios updates. Speaking of which, the bios was easy and simple to use, MSI knows how to do things right.

this motherboard is very well known is hard to find in stock without the crazy inflated price. this motherboard is well known for a multitude of reasons but from a first time PC builder, I was not disappointed at all. this motherboard is a great buy if you can find it at the normal price and if its in stock!

Tomahawk is a quality brand of motherboards, always ATX, and often full of fan headers. Personally, I don't mind splitting my fan headers, and wish it instead offered more RGB headers. But it works great, and offers many of the same features as other motherboards of higher class.

I bought this for a budget build pc. I didn’t love that the price shot you $10 a week before I could purchase. The onboard rgb features and headers are great. The only gripe I have is there’s no USB type C header for use with my case but I knew that before purchasing. Solid board with easy bios.
