    MSI Claw

The MSI Claw, to me, is a wonderful device. So far I'm glad I picked it past the competition despite some obvious software and at times, performance issues. MSI Claw's Center M is nice as it allows you to pick games the moment it launches. You can get app updates that way as well. At times while playing games, it'll have issues opening up. There's also the issue of you not being able to change fan curves on the manual option like you can for the "Super Performance" option. I'd love for them to fix that soon. There's some FPS stability issues, but that can be remidied by mainly MSI software (and probably) Intel's Arc drivers which...have been improving alot. The iGPU seems like it would thrive on faster RAM. Anyways, i didnt really have many issues launching games besides NFS Heat, but that's not too well optimized anyways. Ive been able to play (and enjoy) games like Helldivers 2, Scarlet Nexus, No More Heros 3, FH5, and a couple other games at decent settings. I feel like MSI does have skme work to do when it comes to software stuff. It can be a bit messy sometimes, and the lack of some QoL features can be a bit annoying. So far, hardware wise my stuff has been fine. The bumpers feel squishy and the back buttons feel a tad weird, they do click nice though. Joysticks are pretty good as they are hall effect, meaning no drift. The speakers are crazy good for something being as small as the MSI Claw. The screen is a 120hz 1080p that gets decently bright and looks good when it comes to colors. Battery life isn't too bad. The charging cable is more like a proper USB-C laptop charger. Con: its kinda clunky to carry the cable around. Pro: The 65w charger charges faster for longer. Overall, i do love it despite its quirks. i dont think i can go back to the steam deck.

While having an Intel based handheld is good for the price they’re asking to essentially beta test a product. Intel Arc is not all the way there for compatibility across all games. You’re money is better spent on a ROG Ally Z1 Extreme or Legion Go. This is on top of MSI announcing a new model within a couple months of this product releasing.

A lot has happened since the claw have been released. The software side is on par or better than its competitors, finally. But i have returned 2 claws so far because of faulty RB button. Almost good enough for the price but not quite.

I bought this, loved it but I traded it because MSI was taking forever to update the bios to match the performance of all the competition. They have finally done it,more or less. So updates, and adjusting all your game settings is necessary to enjoy the device to its full potential.

First one for my son on his birthday, and plan to have second one later for myself. Pro: The claw is a game-changer, offering exceptional portability, powerful performance, and a vast library of games, making it an indispensable companion for gamers on the go. Con: Pricing is higher than similar product from different brands, maybe I will wait for promo for my second set.

Performance is trash needs a lot of optimization better drivers software needs a lot to catch up and very buggy. Battery is great hardware is the best out of all of the competition except for the intel processors. was a huge mistake to go eith intel over thr z1e in my opinion. I have the ally and steam deck and they dance aeiunf this handheld. Performance wise and temps. I dont recommend it wait at least a years before u do for then ti get bettwr drivers and get the kinks out of the software.

This concept needed more time in the oven.

Its a neat concept but with terrible execution, theres good reason most handhelds don't use an intel processor. You would be better off with a steam deck because of how good SteamOS is for handheld gaming. If you want to know everything about the claw just watch the Gamers Nexus review, it's very detailed. Decided to write this because it appears that at least half of the positive reviews seem to have been written by bots so buyer beware. Expect this to get less buggy with better performance as time goes on but its still overpriced.

Ergonomics is fantastic. Can play comfortably for hours. Indie games run great and it’s convenient to be able to play on the porcelain throne.

I was never a fan of handheld, but the MSI Claw has exceeded all my expectations. I mostly play indie games so haven't had any issues with it, plus I like its ergonomics !

I had some doubts about this, but a new update was released and this product is absolutely a banger !! Intel Ultra 7 155h chip is a beast! The Arc graphics will get even more better over time. I highly recommend!!! Im pulling 60fps on this even reaching 100 fps its a power house

Originally I wasn't sold on the concept of a handheld but my friends all have the Steam Deck so I figured my time had come to get one too. I have a lot of MSI parts in my gaming pc so I decided to go with the Claw. Overall it feels pretty good. The joysticks and triggers feel solid and can hold up to my gorilla hands and the ergonomics of the grips are perfect for me. Pretty convenient device since now when we're traveling around now we can all play games together. Since it comes with Windows installed I can also do everything else I normally do on a pc or laptop too. 1TB was plenty of storage for me and games look surprisingly good on the screen (I was worried since I normally game on a 32" 2k monitor).

I ordered mine on new egg, and received it on March 11th. Today is March 24th. As of today they haven’t addressed any of the following, and I have returned the claw. My privacy settings would randomly get reset to share with MSI. The factory button combinations for opening the keyboard and task manager would randomly be swapped for ingame button macros. The keyboard rarely comes up shen it should, and games crashed a lot, so this was an issue for me. I benchmaked the claw, steam deck oled, legion go, and ally. The claw was about on par with the steam deck. The legion go, and ally ran much better. Some games I couldn’t run at all on the claw because of driver incompatability or not enough vram. Physically, the screen is nice, the joysticks are nice, the top buttons are awful, the speakers vibrate the whole device, and the fancy ventillation on the back is mostly fake. There are only 2 silver dollar sized vents in the back that are actually open for air to pass through. The rest of the “venting” has a back panel blocking it off.

Got this product for about a month now. The design is really sharp on the exterior and I don’t feel dizzy or sore in eyes after spending a few hours on the device.
