Customers love the GE66 Raider's epic gaming performance, citing smooth gameplay even with demanding titles. However, some are disappointed by the screen's refresh rate, hoping for a higher Hz rate than the 60Hz offered. The powerful performance is a major plus for many users. The lower-than-expected refresh rate is a significant drawback for some.

This is great!!! Curetly playing FarCry 5 & FarCry6 not one problem… yes it get hot and but what do expect from a Powerhouse that has a power of a desktop in size of a laptop. If I use it for very long time I use external laptop fans which I been using on my other laptops…

Bought this laptop exclusively to run FS2020. Not sure yet if I’ll keep it. It runs the sim great but it also runs REALLY HOT! There’s nothing (no documentation at all) to indicate how hot is too hot, and I’d expect the fan to automatically kick into high when things get heated up. There is a manual high fan setting which is so loud you can’t hear anything else. I bought a great cooling pad, but am concerned that I’ll melt the thing down if I’m not using that AND running the fan on high.
The 4k display is gorgeous, but I really with they would have included a numeric keypad.
I bought a 2nd gaming laptop, an Asus with a bit less power (for $1400 less!) and I’m trying to decide between the two. So far neither is perfect, so I’m not sure which (if either) I’ll keep.

Fabulous machine. MSI's laptops are genuinely better than Razer, Aorus and Alienware. Top notch quality control - the other manufacturers I tried had part defects in all of them. Would recommend the other GE66 with the 240Hz monitor over this, but since I'm using an external monitor the extra 1TB of SSD works out well for me. Gaming performance has been epic.

I bought it hoping it was at least 120Hz, but it isn't. It is just 60Hz :(... It is still a beast, but what a waste of power on that simple screen.
