Customers recognize the GF63 15.6" Gaming Laptop's strong performance and competitive price as significant advantages. Many appreciate its capabilities for gaming and the option to upgrade the RAM. However, some users point to the shorter-than-expected battery life and tendency to overheat as notable drawbacks.

I got this laptop thinking that it was going to be just an entry level gaming laptop. I have no idea what I'm doing. This is my first gaming laptop. I have to say that it runs pretty much everything I've put on it on ultra and it is just amazing. It's super fast. I have no problems with only having 8 GB of memory. I remember back in the day when 8 GB of memory was like. Oh my gosh, I can't believe it has that much. Now. It's like oh, it only has 8 GB. Don't worry, it's plenty. I haven't played some of the really really big games like cyberpunk or elden ring. I'm hoping I can play upcoming AAA titles that arent on my Xbox Series X. I have played games like battlefield 2042. Even though it's such a crap game, it does run on high settings. There is a little bit of stutter online so I wouldn't recommend actually running it on high. I've played other games on ultra like Valorant and Fallout 4. I'm pretty sure Fallout 4 is a graphic heavy game. It runs very smoothly. If you have the cash get it. You will not regret it.

I have bought the product very recently, it definitely works terrific! But, there’s one downfall about it… Once, it have been shipped to me and its my first time upboxing it and turning it on; there was some type of problem w/ the Coil Whine causing it to make some rattling nosies. So, I’d highly recommend you to enter your BIOS (Restart > Spam “Deleted Key” > Advance > C - States > Disable > Save Changes). Once, you completed the steps, you shouldn’t be hearing the noise as much anymore or not at all (for me). Please, if you’re new to gaming computers (like me), please update all your drivers, windows updates and Microsoft softwares that’s already installed on your computer before installing any games. Overall: 9.5 /10

I have had this for over a year now. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. It was my son’s first gaming computer. Great option for a first timer, especially for the money. We recently upgraded the hard drive which seemed to fill up quickly. That is really my only issue. Otherwise, I am extremely happy.

This has been a good low end "Gaming" Laptop. Had a battery issue but MSI replaced under warranty. It took a little convincing being the laptop was two months out of warranty but eventually they blinked. Other than that I've been satisfied with it.

Have had this laptop for over a month now and i absolutely love it. It starts up fast, runs smooth, and does everything i need it to. The battery life isn't good, but since i mainly use this at my house it's not the biggest deal. But it was a big enough deal to deduct a star.

I immediately noticed the difference while playing FireProWorld compared to my more basic HP 4gb! When i tried a more graphically demanding AAA game I was still happy with the results. Battery doesn't carry the longest charge from what i can tell but the pros outweigh the cons in this case. Thank you Best Buy!!

This is a great laptop. It has a great screen. The battery lasts for a good while, considering it's a gaming laptop. And it performs well in all scenarios. But with any budget option, there are ways that you can tell MSI cut corners. The most obvious way of seeing this is the keyboard. Don't get me wrong, the keyboard feels fine, but the deck flex is atrocious. And in addition, the entire laptop is a fingerprint magnet. You cannot keep this laptop looking clean. If you're using this laptop with an external mouse and keyboard, I think you're going to be very satisfied. And for those that aren't, I still think you will be satisfied, but you're definetly going to know that this is a budget gaming laptop.

Solid gaming laptop. If you can get it for the price I got it at ($600, a $150 discount) then based on price alone its a competitive option for the performance you're getting.
For lite to medium end gaming it does the trick. Aside from that its like any other gaming laptop. Short battery life, and it runs a little hot, although bear in mind I hadn't optimized it in any way, just ran stock settings.
I did eventually trade it in for the MSI GF65 since it had a bigger discount ($300, dropped down to $800) and suited my needs better with a stronger GPU, but I had a great experience with this laptop.

So far it's been great. It's fast, reliable and can handle heavy programs such as blender and Photoshop really well. The only problem is the at the battery dies quickly when unplugged. However even then it's lasted for all my classes on 1 charge.
