Customers are saying

Customers commend the MSI Infinite RS Gaming Desktop for its excellent performance in gaming, effective cooling system, and attractive case design with customizable RGB lighting. However, some users reported issues with CPU temperatures and the weight of the system, while others experienced problems with the liquid cooling system's reliability and noise levels. Despite these concerns, many found the overall value and upgradability of the system to be strong selling points.

    Great rig for the money

Great gaming rig for the money. I previously bought the HP Omen with the 3060ti GPU and was having heating issues, so I returned the Omen. I bought this computer in hopes to run cooler, and job well done, it runs cooler. I was a little concerned at first because at times I noticed the exhaust fan, and the GPU fans went off… just not on. After some research I learned MSI has a Frozr program which controls the fan speed at certain temps. I ran 3D Mark Demo on steam to stress test the CPU/GPU and all fans came back on. Don’t be alarmed if you buy this, they thought it through. I am happy, it gets the job done, and it’s a FULL SIZE case. It looked like a midrange, and it’s not. Plenty of room for upgrades. Also, the fans are MASSIVE. Cheers friends!

Hands down the greatest computer I've ever bought. Plays all the mainstream games with ease (170+ FPS). 10/10 recommend. Only downfall is it comes without an instruction manual.

I've watched lots of YouTube videos that review prebuilt gaming desktops. Most prebuilt systems are a waste of money. I was considering custom building a gaming system, but graphics cards are so expensive these days. I bought this system on sale for Black Friday thinking that I might need to upgrade. The system I got exceeded my expectations and no upgrades were needed. The MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ti graphics card that came with this machine currently sells for about $1000. Factoring in the cost of the other components, the full (non-sale) price of this prebuilt system is actually several hundred dollars cheaper than the cost of building this same system from its parts. So, I give this system an excellent value. Other Pros: - The quietest computer I own. The large 200mm fans move a lot of air while spinning at a relatively slow speed. - Good looking case with pretty RGB lighting - Big case and motherboard allows for lots of future upgrades - Runs cooler than expected. Using MSI's Frozr AI cooling app, the fans never ran faster than 52% speed, the CPU temp hovered around 62 degrees Celsius, and the GPU temp remained under 72 degrees Celsius while I played Mechwarrior 5 on 4K resolution with the most demanding graphics settings. - It's relatively fast for video editing too. It processed a 20-minute video in about 1 minute, which is a fraction of the time my gaming laptop takes. Cons: - Required going into the BIOS to turn on XMP profile for the RAM to run at the advertised speed. I noticed that the system RAM was only running at 2666Mhz, which is slower than what the RAM is capable of. - The airflow of the MSI MPG SEKIRA 500X case is horrible. Gamers Nexus did a review of this case on YouTube. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=llHpxuzTUgk) I think it runs as cool as it does because of all the fans in the case. Additional cooling may be needed if I were to add more components or upgrade the graphics card later. Overall, I'm happy with this system out of the box. Considering the cost of graphics cards these days, this prebuilt system is an excellent value. It's relatively good quality compared to other horrible prebuilt systems I've seen reviewed on YouTube.

I was pleasantly surprised by how good this thing looked when I turned it on the first time. Lots of cool preset color options and the glass doors on either side are very nice. Sadly the ram sticks are not synced to the a case and fan lights so you have to change them manually with extra software. The GPU has no lights at all which was disappointing. Performance is pretty good. Runs 1080p 60fps great but struggles a bit at 4k 60fps or 1080p 144fps. The only major issue I had was when the bluetooth stopped working and after fixing it a couple times, it stopped working completely and ive given up on it.

So I would like to give these PCs a 5 star review because the pc itself is great. I bought 2 of them one was perfect and the other had a bad SSD. I returned it and they shipped another and the same issue bad SSD. I ended up purchasing a Samsung SSD and I will work with MSI on the bad 1TB SSD to get it replaced. Other than that the PCs are great they run quick and have tons of storage for their gaming.

I am very happy with it so far. Boots up in less than 30 seconds. The look of the tower is great, all of the changing colors are almost hypnotic. I don't run supper high end games, but the games I do play run perfectly. It is SO QUIET you can barely hear it in a other wise silent room. Heat out put at normal usage is low. My old tower used to heat my room up this one does not.

I’m very happy with this computer. It’s put together very well, good organization on the inside with ties for various cables. Lots of room on the inside, so it’s very easy to add more drives, ram, etc.

This is my first “gaming” pc so I didn’t really know what to expect, after spending numerous hours on it I am very satisfied , it’s quick , fairly quiet for my liking , and just overall an amazing prebuilt pc and there’s room for any type of upgrades you may need further on in the future.

    Liquid cooling nightmare

After waiting through two shipments of the same computer (5x phone calls with Best Buy and a 2nd computer shipment, apparently the first computer is still in a truck according to fedex), I couldn’t be more disappointed. The liquid cooling system makes ALOT of noise when running games or if the computer is used by for an extended period of time. It’s not worth the hassle of taking the computer back, it’s just a frustrating issue with a $2000 computer. I did try moving the computer around to “fix” the issue as I know shipping causes air bubbles in the liquid cooling with no luck. It’s very heavy (50+ lbs). It does run but the constant noise is ridiculous. I’ll end trying to replace the liquid cooling myself, it’s not worth my time to deal with customer service.

The laptop arrived early, packaging was done well, upon startup the tower would boot up then turn off. I figured out the problem, the metal housing where the power button is on top of the tower needed to be pushed in around the button to get it to pop back up so the tower would stay on. A device flaw but with the tower being 60 lbs. I was not willing to drag it to Best Buy to be fixed. MSI's customer support was less than helpful pushing the responsibility on Best Buy and the overuse of the word ummm. It runs super hot but is a huge upgrade from what I was using.

I don't think I've ever left a negative review like this, but here it goes. 4-5 stars for the components inside the pc. I've been playing cyberpunk at 4k high/ultra settings around 30 fps on my tv while I wait for my new 1440 monitor. Minus 3 stars for the case they come in. Look up reviews of this case (Sekira 500x) on youtube. Because of its design, the fans sitting almost directly against the glass, they do literally nothing. They're just for decoration. Tried holding an incense stick near the "intake" vents, no smoke entered the case. Playing cyberpunk at 4k, I was getting gpu and cpu temps around 75 degrees. I pulled the front cover off the case and got around 44 on the cpu, Around 55 on gpu. Seriously. That's how bad it is. I planned on modifying the front and top panels by either adding mesh, or spacers for the glass to push it further away from the fans. I don't want to destroy the original panels however, so I contacted MSI via web ticket (twice) asking for a second set of panels for the top and bottom so I can modify without voiding my warranty. I believe I clearly explained the parts I wanted, and they seem to be intentionally misunderstanding me, not reading my ticket, or just blowing me off. So right now I'm running the pc with the top and front panels completely off so I don't melt internal components. Shouldn't have to do this with a pc in this price range. Long story short, either be ok with potentially damaging temps, plan on modifying the case, or plan on pulling all the components and building in a new case. If MSI comes through with a solution for me, I will happily update, but I don't see a company that would ship this case to market in the first place coming through on much for their customers.

Perfect for me being a casual gamer. WARNING: do NOT overclock your RAM sticks. It will give you BSOD. I have no issues with crashing or performance playing Halo Infinite with max settings at 1440p. At High performance settings (on Halo), I'm getting around 90 fps. This box does run slightly hot. It doesn't impact my performance for gaming or editing high res video in adobe premiere. Installing a second or third m.2 ssd in a bit difficult with the placement of the gpu. Tip for beginners like me, make sure you plug your hdmi or display port cable directly into the GPU (lower on the box) for best usage with your monitor.

    CPU OVERHEATING

Man I was so excited for this prebuilt but man the disappointment is immeasurable. After only 2 weeks of owning it I have had nothing but issues with the CPU overheating. I know its an Intel chip which is known for running hot but this was ridiculous. Out the gate when I would boot it up I would get CPU temps of 70+ with basically nothing running. I replaced the thermal paste, checked the AIO, even went into the BIOS which had the voltage set to overclock at 1.40 for some reason. Brought that down to Auto and it seemingly fixed the issue and gave me idle temps between 40-50! Except for the next day the temps were all above 60 again for whatever reason and no matter what, while gaming, my temps are at a constant 95-100. This experience definitely turned me off to MSI as a brand overall. It was also IMPOSSIBLE to find my unit anywhere as they have like 6 different MSI Infinite RS's on their website with NONE of them having the exact RTX 3060 Ti that I had. I will be returning this at my earliest convenience and buying something else or taking the plunge to my nearest Microcenter and building one myself. What an awful run of luck. I really loved the way everything looked too. Too bad.

Please do not buy this PC. It was good for two months, then crashing occured. Blue screens and then ultimately pc is junk. It has overheating issues AND the case is absolutely massive. It weighs a ton and its unnecessarily big. Please avoid. I had to even remove the glass to try to get it to not overheat.
