This 1440p QD-OLED monitor with a 175Hz refresh rate is a masterpiece of display technology, delivering an incredible gaming experience. The standout feature is its astonishing black levels—deep, rich, and true blacks that elevate contrast and detail to cinematic levels. Colors are vivid, natural, and incredibly lifelike, making every scene burst with clarity. The high refresh rate ensures buttery-smooth gameplay, eliminating tearing and stuttering, even in fast-paced sequences. Playing Cyberpunk 2077 on this monitor is a transformative experience; Night City's neon-lit streets, glowing advertisements, and intricate designs have never looked so vibrant and immersive. The monitor’s QD-OLED panel also excels in day-to-day tasks, providing sharp text and accurate colors. Whether you’re diving into expansive open worlds or tackling creative work, this monitor is a fantastic addition to any setup. For the price I got it at, super happy.

Great colors and performance but for some reason doesn’t look as good as pretty much any OLED TV. I think the TVs just have a lot of additional processing and brightness to play with that something like this does not. But overall is pretty much what you expect. Looks dim in bright rooms but punchy and bright in a dark setting. HDR doesn’t feel super impactful thanks to the lower total brightness capabilities. Also the screen coating is very very problematic. It really picks up and strongly holds onto any kind of smudge, liquid or oil. And then when you try to clean it all that happens of you create further smudging and spreading. Doesn’t matter what kind of cloth or cleaner you use. Eventually you CAN get it clean after trying a bunch of different techniques but it’s a ton of work and kind of scary in a way. Never seen a screen coating like this before in my 20 plus years of trying and buying displays. It’s really bad.

The best thing about this monitor, is the OLED care 2.0. With this feature, I no longer have to worry about the risks of burn in due to static images. I no longer have to hide my taskbar, be concerned when watching content that is 16:9, or having my screen split for multitasking. Another huge plus, is that it is fanless so you do not have to worry about any extra noise. Although it does not have G- SYNC certification, I was still able to use it with G-SYNC and had no issues. If I had to pick something that could be improved on, it would be the stand as it does take quite a bit of space. If you put it on a monitor arm, this isn't an issue, but it would be nice if more companies took the Sasmung aproach and just had a flat base.

An amazing monitor however I am not a big fan of the OLED protection even knowing it is helping the monitor last longer. Having the screen force shut off while playing a game though is not a fun process and has caused some dislikes with the monitor. The colors are amazing and the OLED screen is absolutely fantastic and have no complaints regarding anything else.

This is not only my first OLED monitor ever, but also the first ultrawide I have ever used, and let me tell you this thing is just amazing! I purchased this mainly for gaming and I cannot be happier with my purchase, colors are so vibrant and graphics look so smooth thanks to the great refresh rate. Normally people try to warn you about buying oled displays because of their burn in issues, however this monitor features OLED Care 2.0, which will greatly reduce the chances of burn in by detecting static images, logos etc, so I can feel worry less when doing productivity work too!

I really hate to love this monitor because im going to end up returning it.
If you can deal with nanny software or the inevitability that a pop up telling you to take a break will show up in the middle of something important, than buy this monitor. Its BEAUTIFUL and ultrawide gaming is something else but I cant deal with being annoyed ever couple hours.
The oled care features are wonderful until you realize you will be annoyed every 4 hours to do a "panel protect" which will take between 10-15 minutes. You can skip it, but it will run mandatory every 16 hours.
You cant remove it, or turn it off. Spent many hours talking to MSI and they said they probably wont do anything to change it because lets be honest theyre doing their best to save as many screens as possible.
The 3 year warranty for burn in is great but I for one cant be annoyed for the next 5 years to turn off my monitor even though I turn it off, run the panel protect when I leave the room, etc, but getting hit with that BIG bright notification via the desktop app (other wise its right in the middle of the screen because its firmwared into the monitor) right in the middle of a game was very irritating. I now have it in the back of my mind, "oh when is that thing gonna pop up, should I take a break, etc."
I use my screen to much during the day to be annoyed by pop ups when gaming or work.
If the software changes, someone posts an alt to github, or something else then I will be happy to get this again but the beauty of oled cant top the annoyance of the software.

I consider this monitor a substantial upgrade from my previous monitor which was an LG 34GK950F-B. It is difficult to compare these two monitors as they are in completely different classes. Going from an IPS to OLED encompasses many improvements so I can only compare the overall build of each monitor. The MAG 341CQP has a better build quality with its feet being made with metal rather than plastic on my old LG. I also prefer the aesthetic of the MAG since it looks more neutral or professional when compared to the LG.
There is a large selection of ultrawide OLED monitors. I chose the MAG over the Alienware AW3423DWF & AW3423DW, MSI MEG342C, and Philips 34M2C8600 because those monitors all have fans. A monitor in this price range should not have a fan, no matter how quiet they claim it is. It is an additional point of failure in the future. This monitor uses a large heatsink to handle heat dissipation rather than a fan.
The Samsung G8 G85SB OLED is the only other QD-OLED that does not have fan. It is a very appealing monitor but when compared to the MAG 341CQP, the flaws become very apparent. The Samsung only has a 1Y warranty that does not cover burn in. In addition, the Samsung uses micro connectors rather than full size connectors which are more prone to failure. The biggest flaw, in my eyes, is that the Samsung Smart TV OS is installed onto the monitor. This allows users to have their monitor function like a TV. I view this as bloatware since I strictly use my monitor as a monitor.
The MAG 341CQP isn’t perfect, it does have its own imperfections, but I do not view them as anything significant. The first imperfection is that it uses the 1st Gen QD-OLED panel which is old considering that there are 3rd gen panels being released. The biggest improvements from 1st to 3rd gen was an adjustment of the subpixel layout to help with text fringing and some burn-in prevention tools. Text looks fine to me, and I’m not worried about burn in that much since MSI has a 3Y burn in warranty. The second imperfection is that the firmware needs to be updated to prevent the pixel refresh message every 4 hours. Doing the update is annoying since it must be done over DisplayPort instead of HDMI. This brings me to the next imperfection, 175HZ refresh with 10-bit color depth is only possible over HDMI, not DisplayPort, since only DP 1.4 is on this monitor. The last imperfection of this monitor is that only 15W of power is available with the USB-C connector. It’s enough power for a phone but not enough for a laptop. This means that you would have to charge your laptop while using the KVM, requiring two cables to be connected to the laptop rather than one.
In summary, I believe the MAG 341CQP to be the best 3440x1440 QD-OLED monitor at the time of this review. This monitor isn’t perfect but it’s as close to perfect as possible. If you are looking for an ultrawide OLED monitor, you won’t have any regrets going with this one.
Below summarizes this review with a pros/cons list:
Pros:
- QD-OLED
- Full 175HZ refresh at 10-bit using HDMI
- KVM
- Firmware Upgradable
- Fanless
- Solid Build Quality
- 3Y Burn-in warranty
Cons:
- 1st Gen QD-OLED Panel
- 15W Charging isn’t enough for a laptop
- Firmware update required to remove 4HR pixel shift prompt
- No DP 2.1 only 1.4 requiring the use of HDMI for 175HZ/10-bit

What the AW3423DWF should have been

This monitor is what I wanted the AW3423DWF to be. Solid, sufficiently high refresh rate, great colors and blacks. The Alienware fell short due to manufacturing/lacking issues, cause 4 monitors in a row to come with scuffs on the screen. This MSI monitor doesn't come with a protective film, but also luckily was spotless. Great job MSI!
One thing I am disappointed by is the marketing suggesting that this panel is a next gen qd oled panel. It appears to have the gen 1 subpixel layout, so be warned if text clarity is important to you. Having just tested the MPG 491cqp (2nd gen, new subpixel layout), I can detect a slight difference between them. It's not a deal breaker for me, just disappointing that marketing is misleading the public.
No dead pixels or scratches. 34" is the right size for me. The 491cqp was a visual treat, but I don't really miss the extra pixels on the periphery of my vision. Overall I'm satisfied, and will likely keep the monitor.

If you're deciding between the Alienware DWF and this one get this one.
I owned the dwf and it was an incredible monitor without a doubt. I had sold it and was back to a smaller display but wanted to get it again but then I saw this one on sale. After extensive research (not much on it is available at the moment) and after deciding I wanted one now and not to wait for a 3rd gen panel version (I don't want to spend over a grand for a monitor) I decided to give it a shot over the DWF especially since it was priced the same. And man i'm glad I did.
Basically its like a supercharged DWF. The colors are crisper, brighter. The display itself is brighter to where I had to push it further back away from my eyes something I never had to do with the DWF. I also like that once you update the firmware (yes, this one you can update the firmware) it gives you the option to do the panel pixel cleaning every 16hrs and doesn't alert you every 4hrs. It was getting annoying being in a heated battle with friends in Helldivers and having to put my controller down and be killed to cancel the alert for the pixel refresh. It also has a bunch of new panel care features (so long as you don't mind disabling adaptive sync- which I do thanks to my 4080) so it gives extra peace of mind where if you have to do some prolonged work on a few split view windows you don't have to stress you'll get burn-in just after the return period ends.
Pros over DWF:
-10 extra Hz (175 vs 165)
-OLED care 2.0
-Brighter
-Punchier Colors
-Slimmer look
-More responsive OSD
-2nd gen panel (so it seems given how much brighter it is)
Cons over DWF:
-No rgb
-Windows OSD software less cumbersome
-DWF has better box and packaging
-more firmware updates (been out longer)
-So I heard only 2nd gen qdoled panel wish it was 3rd gen
So TLDR if you want a more time tested qdoled monitor, rgb at the back and better packaging go with the DWF.
If you don't care about any of that and just want the best 34" ultrawide qdoled for under $900, go with this one for sure you won't regret it.

The MSI MAG 341CQP QD-OLED is a 34” ultrawide gaming monitor with vibrant Quantum Dot OLED visuals, 3440x1440 resolution, 175Hz refresh rate, and 0.03ms response time. It offers deep blacks, vivid colors, HDR400 support, and FreeSync Premium for smooth gameplay. The 21:9 curved design enhances immersion, while the adjustable stand and built-in KVM switch add versatility. Ideal for gaming and multitasking, though professionals may notice slight color deviations. With a 3-year burn-in warranty, it’s a solid choice for gamers seeking top-tier performance.

If you're looking at reviews to help decide if its worth the price compared to a non-OLED display (all else being equal), it is.
Overall fantastic. Color is the best I've seen, HDR is outstanding, and even without HDR the contrast is incredible. The only big downside is that my secondary monitor next to it isn't OLED, so I'm constantly seeing the stark difference lol
-1 star for several slight annoyances that get old. For example, using variable refresh rate disables other features of the monitor, including anti-burn-in methods of taskbar detection and logo detection.
You also can't use the on-screen settings when it's not displaying an image signal. That sucks when you need to use the settings in order to switch to a different input source, for it to display an image signal.
So if your source is DP and the monitor is set to HDMI, you have to plug in an HDMI source so that you can open the settings and change to DP.
For most people that's solved by using the 'auto' input selection, but for anyone that uses the KVM or PiP/PBP features, that causes it's own set of issues.
Also, upon finishing the panel protection cool-down, the display turns off. I get that it needs to do the cooldown, and I'm okay with that, but I wish it would turn back on when it's done so that I wouldn't have to constantly check the flashing LED indicator while I wait.
All in all, for a 1440p OLED ultrawide with high refresh rate (and freesync premium pro), I consider all of those quirks very forgivable.
That said, if you don't plan on using the KVM or displayport-via-usb-c, then consider the Alienware AW3423DW instead, which has g-sync and slightly faster response time (otherwise effectively the same).
And one last thing - some people, for some reason, complain about QDOLED having a slight purple tint seen on the display. That doesn't exist. Okay, it *kind of* exists, when the display is off. In a bright sunlit room while the display isnt showing anything at all, yeah, you can see a slight purple effect. As soon as there's anything on the screen, or your room lighting isn't crazy bright, it just looks black. The blackest-black you've ever seen on a display.

This product combines Quantum Dot technology with an OLED panel to deliver superior picture quality, also precise pixel lighting control and authentic black scenes. I was so excited to receive this product! It delivers 175Hz refresh rate and an impressive 0.03ms response time, which is a perrrrfect choice for my gaming PC. Have been using it for days now, it displays the best picture quality and high contrast that I've ever experienced before. The day I ordered this monitor became the best day of my life, now I have something to look forward to after my work every day!! Highly recommended if you're still hesitating. Like the presence/ design a lot, no lousy RGB, purely black with patterns.
Just not really any other way to put it. From the overall design of the monitor itself, to the picture quality, to the built in screen care and fine-tune features to prevent any damage to the panel, this display is just killer.

This is currently the best bang for your buck ultrawide oled monitor. I owned the AW3423DWF previously and this monitor is better all around with more features, more oled protections, a sleek design, a heat sink, and a perfect screen with no damage from packaging like the AW3423DWF. Also, the recent firmware update basically allows you to never worry about the pixel refresh notification anymore unless you happen to game for 16 hours straight. Highly recommended .

I just upgrade my rig to a RTX 4080 Super and it is time to upgrade my display to OLED. After researching online for days, I decided on MSI MAG341CQPQD as my last MSI purchase pan out rather well. The 34-inch screen size and 3440 x 1440 resolution is a huge step up from my old 27-inch FHD monitor. I was able to differentiate the color accuracy and deep blacks immediately. The stand is sturdy and comes with height, tilt, and swivel adjustment which was something that I was missing on my old monitor. I especially like the thin bezel, matte black finish, and built-in speakers. In terms of connectivity, the monitor has two HDMI ports, one DisplayPort, and two USB ports. Not sure if I can use the USB ports since I have everything connected to a docking station. Overall, a great monitor and worth the investment if you spent many hours in front of a computer. Would recommend.

This is a really great monitor overall but there are some small things that stop it from being perfect. The picture quality and blacks are amazing but I will say after doing some research I found out this is a gen 1 qd-oled panel and not a third gen with the current ones coming out. Also the stand feet are very big and invasive on desk space so you should either mount it to a monitor arm or take that into account when buying it.

This MSI monitor is one of th best ultrawide screens I have seen for this pricepoint. The Oled Display is a beautiful one that has made so many different games I have played feel completely different. Videos look absolutely beautiful on this display and I have spent countless hours just admiring videos and games on it. 175hz. might not sound like a lot in this day and age but it definately gets the job done in games like fortnite and League.

Great deep blacks, very responsive and perfect size for me. I am very much enjoying the ultra wide 21:9 aspect ratio. The PPI is great and the text fringing is unnoticeable. I chose this monitor for it's refresh rate, panel type, features, warranty and cost. The best buy replacement protection package is great peace of mind as well. So far the performance of the monitor exceeds my expectations. Even in my bright corner room, the full screen SDR brightness is more than adequate. There are several OLED care features in the menu OSD.
Only weakness thus far is how much area the stand consumes on my small desk. Due to the size of the monitor this is required but I will probably invest in a VESA mount in the near future.
