Perfect Board... Headache to get running..

I paired the MSI x570 Gaming Edge Wifi Motherboard with a AMD Ryzen 3700X, Gigabyte RTX 2080 Windforce, two WD Black 512GB M.2 SSD's, Seagate Firecuda 2TB, and 2 sticks of corsair vengence pro rgb. My final build is nothing short of amazing in performance and looks! However, I found the setup to be quite tedious. While I would recommend this board to anyone, it was not a five star experience..
Overall, the build was very easy. It should be noted, that although I have done months of in depth study, this was in fact my first build. I was able to quickly find headers for nearly everything, and the manual helped me find anything that wasn't immediately apparent. The fan header placement could be better. All four are along the bottom of the case which means that if you don't want fan cables running across the face of your build, you will have to get extensions.. Some people have even complained that it has been too far for some fans to run.. It did however look ascetically pleasing once I managed my cables though.. The motherboard fit in my mid tower, ATX case and was very sturdy even with a massive RTX 2080 hanging off of it. I think its important to note that I bought mine within just a few weeks after launch and yet my board had no major defects other than what appeared to be a few paint or glue splotches..(Most of them are out of sight but you can kinda see one in the 3rd photo)
Initially after boot, everything seemed to be working well. The bios was easy to navigate and most settings were straightforward. However, I had many struggles with trying to install windows on my raid drive. The windows installer just couldn't see the raid array, even after using the drivers on the disk. Just after midnight on the second day of trying to get RAID to work, I figured out that if I unplugged all other drives before booting, then recreated the raid array, booted to windows installer, installed drivers from the MSI website; it then suddenly just worked..
After that whole ordeal, everything has gone rather smoothly. My only other gripe with this board is the Dragon Center. I originally installed the version that came on the disc and it was horrible.. Old and clunky and only worked half the time. My RAM RGB often does whatever it feels like or uses a setting I set days before.. Finally getting tired of it all, I tried to install iCUE to see if it would work with my board. During the process I uninstalled the dragon center. When I re-downloaded the Dragon Center from the website this time(because iCUE didn't do what I wanted..) it was completely different.. And Faster.. And just all around works better.. So don't trust the included on disc software! Get it from the website!
So that is everything that I have disliked about the MSI experience; they could do much better with software.. The board itself is amazing. As a video editor and gamer, I frequently copy files to external drives. I love the amount of fast IO on this motherboard especially when compared to any other x570 motherboard at this price point. It is so fast that when transfering a 1GB file to my WD Passport SSD, the transfer window just flashes and its done.. Like no waiting at all!
The WIFI is a great feature. I have yet to test its effective speed because my internet is pretty slow, but I haven't had any drops and it has been consistent. I didn't even add the antennas for a few days after building and it worked fine!
I have yet to hear the chipset fan over the rest of my fans which are all very quite as well.
This motherboard also has great RGB control with 2 ARGB and 2 12vRGB headers. The Mystic lighting software has a little way to go but other than that its great!
I came to this motherboard grudgingly after accepting that a comparable ASUS motherboard would be too expensive.. However, I would now give a 99% recommendation to a friend who was looking for an X570 board just because past setup, there is no other current X570 motherboard at this price point with the IO and performance of this one. The performance per dollar of this board is just as good as can be. So good job MSI.

This is my first personal build so to say I'm disappointed is putting this lightly. But the piece that holds the screw down on the heatsink above the upper PCI-E slot has completely come out without any effort.
I removed the screw, removed the heatsink, installed the SSD, replaced the heatsink and began to wonder why the screw wasn't getting any tighter. I took a look and the piece that the screw goes into has completely dislodged from the PCB. Now the heatsink cannot be held down anymore... A brand new $200 motherboard on my first personal PC build.

Motherboard posted right off the bat with a Ryzen 7 and EVGA 2080 super. Recognized my 3600 ram after turning on XMP in the bios. Best Buy did an amazing job compared to a competitor I ordered parts from with updating tracking details of my order. They informed me exactly when I was going to receive both my mobo and graphics card. Zero issues with this board, happy customer. This was also the cheapest price I could find for this mobo on all other sites. Resellers are taking advantage of customers during this time and I am glad to see Best Buy is not. Will be buying components from Best Buy again. Anyone looking at picking up an AM4 cpu I would recommend this board. It also allows for upgrades in the future where the 400 series does not.

I bought this board for its color and brand. This board has excellent quality of the heat sink, lots of fan and led connectors for DIYers, some may complain the wifi module included is too out of date(Intel 3268, cannot believe they are still manufacturing this..). I must say this is true but at least for this price it does not look that bad, enough for every day use and personally I prefer net cables. You can always replace it with ax200 with wifi6 when you want to update your router together (I replaced it with my old intel 9260,its easy and works perfectly)

I love MSI products and this one was to my expectations. Did have some frustrations building on it, the heat sink for M.2 slot one is held down with 3 screws, one was put in waaaay too tight and I gave up on trying to get it undone because I did not want to damage the board, Ended up putting my M.2 in slot two; still worked perfectly fine but sucks because I planned to throw another one in down the road but oh well. Another thing i did not like while building was the fans headers are all on the bottom of the board (except for CPU fan of course) so if your fans dont have long cords might be tough for cable management and would think and getting an extension wire. I used corsair fans, super long wires so no problem. Other than that great board, easy BIOS for beginners!

Very great motherboard. I purchased this motherboard mainly because of the wifi. This motherboard has great expansion capabilities and comes with bluetooth. The only con to this board is that it only has 4 fan headers. Otherwise a good board. Very fast and easy to use.

It works great, I don't like how the fan headers are at the bottom though, it means if you want to mount fans to the top of the case you have to find a way to get them allllll the way down to the bottom of the motherboard (most likely just a straight line to it unless you have a super long fan header). That being said, the motherboard works fine, and the silver is a nice touch. I don't like MSI mystic light, I had a lot of trouble getting it to recognize the rgb on my ram. It would often forget my rams rgb completely on subsequent start ups. It seems to have ironed itself out after uninstalling it and reinstalling it twice. The bios flashback works great btw.

At just over $200 at the time of buying this board feels like a steal compared to my previous B450 board. The bios is easy to use and the board is as solid as can be. It has an additional 4 pin connector for the CPU if you want to go crazy for the overclocking and despite having a dedicated fan for the chipset it runs dead quiet in my NZXT H510 case. It also has a header for a AIO pump if you have one in your setup. It supports ram up to 4400 Mhz which is stupid fast. The IO on the back is also great with nothing that you would need missing and its nice to have a pre-installed IO shield to protect me from myself.
Overall this feels like a Premium $300 board for much less of a price and it doesn't cut any corners 10/10

Pros: Works well with the Ryzen 9. Easy to install parts on this, and the RGB is a nice touch if you want to look inside the case. Even if you don't want to look inside, I recommend this because it honestly has the easiest BIO's ever. Of course, you can do a more in-depth one if need be. Haven't had any crashes or errors.
Cons: Just make sure you update everything to work properly. I recommend the Dragon Center to update all the drivers you need. You will need to find the ( Support > Live Update > Scan > Install), and once done all will work perfectly. Especially RGB lighting.
Overall: Easy install, feels durable, and has been easy to set up for a gaming PC. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR A EASY TIME!

I got this x570 motherboard because it was the only one I could find in stock that wasn't $600+. It's been very good. I'm running a 3900x in it clocked at 4.3ghz daily, can go up to 4.4 pretty easily, paired with an NZXT x73 cooler (that I also picked up at bestbuy for less than the online stores).
2 nvme slots, fan on the chipset is offset so it's not right under the gpu, so that was a bonus, and built in bluetooth/wifi that works great. Good results with Windows 10 and Linux. Picked up 32Gb Ripjaws V ddr4 3600 CL16 ram to go with it, wasn't on MSI's QVL list, but was listed on G.skill's website. I updated the bios since it said it added additional ram stability/support. Clocking the ram at 3733 still cas 16.
Overall, very pleased with this motherboard. Can't wait to get a gen 4 nvme to go with it.

Pretty good motherboard for the price I have a 5950x pared with it. I got my ram timing down to 3600mhz cl 14 all 4 dimms of 8gbs (32gb total) Samsung bdie, would definitely recommend updating the bios to latest version saved me a headache of clearing the bios every time a overclock failed, but after I updated bios the overclock fail safe kicked in after 2 failed attempts of booting. Also overclocked my CPU to 4.65ghz and 1.33 voltage worked first attempt. I tried pushing the FLCK higher get really unstable but it’s fine at 1800mhz just get the timings low you will get the same performance. Overall great motherboard for overclocking and nice RBG with it!
