I went from a Z690 pro-A to the Z690 force and I love the difference! Both are great boards, but its worth it to spend the extra money to get the extra features. I went with a white build with some black sprinkled in so this motherboard was the perfect choice. Four M.2 slots is just right for the amount of storage! Plenty of USB slots to plug in everything you need. The only con is that there are only two internal usb slots, so if you plan to use more than one brand's controller you will need an adapter. That's only a small issue though. I would recommend this motherboard to anyone!!

Had a 790 msi and it wouldn't load drivers correctly. Went with this msi board and it works great. Had to flash the bios so that the 13900k would be recognized. Flash bios button was a lifesaver.

MSI is proving itself to be a great board on the Z690 front. coming form strictly ASUS and ASROCK motherboards for the last few gens. THIS board is GREAT with 5 M.2, 4 of which are PCIEx4 gen 4 slots.. 6 sata, that if you use 5 M.2s you can STILL use 5 SATAs. outstanding ! been a solid performer and the BIOS is easy to setup and get going right away!

It is a great item. Cosmetically its a great substitute for a white build (this is a very soft silver). The RGB on this board is very minimal though. I personally do not like RGBs all over motherboard.
I love that every piece of aluminum shielding (over all the M.2 slots) has thermal padding, very nice touch. So many slots give you all the possibilities

I was looking for a white z690 motherboard to go with my all white build and this seemed like a great choice but it turns out it is acutally silver. It still looks great in my case though!

Awesome looking board, a boat load of USB ports on the IO loving it, definitely an overkill board for the most part though, not everyone will need something this expensive

So far this seems like a great board that had all the features I was looking for. The built in wifi is really good, holds a consistent connection at a very high bandwidth. I ended up putting a total of 6.5tb of ssd storage in it due to all of its slots.

I bought this mostly because of the high VRM count and the 5 M.2 slots. But it has a whole host of other cool features that make this worth getting.
Cosmetically its a great substitute for a white build (this is a very soft silver). The RGB on this board is very minimal though. And with a fat graphics card, you won't be able to see the RGB over the chipset at all.
I love that every piece of aluminum shielding (over all the M.2 slots) has thermal padding, very nice touch. And the CPU M.2 slot has thermal padding on the board as well.
So far the VRM heatsinks are doing a great job of keeping them cool. I was originally going to run an i9 in this, but after reading reviews of just how power hungry the i9 is, and the only difference between it and the i7 is 4 more efficiency cores. I decided to go with the i7. And with a Z63 Kraken watercooler, I can overclock the CPU to 5.0 no problem. VRM's stay cool as well. So the board has been very well designed.
Unfortunately the CPU Mode and the XMP both don't work for me. Not sure why can cant put the CPU in gamer mode in bios. And as for XMP, this is more of a word of caution. If you plan on running 4 sticks of DDR5. You will NOT be able to run them in XMP to boost their clock speed to the advertised speed of your ram. There's a really great post I read that explains why. But the jist of it is, these boards and the bios are just too new and havn't had the maturity time to fine tune all the elements to allow such high quad channel frequencies from RAM.
Other than that I love this board. No issues with it mechanically.

One of the best DDR5 Z690 motherboards, especially if you wanna build a white PC. Solid built, easy to assemble. I'm not looking for extreme OC, so it has everything I need for building a gaming/video-editing PC, from pump fan support, dual 8-pin CPU power connectors, PCIe 5.0, to build-in 2.5G LAN and Wi-Fi 6E. BTW, the bios is user-friendly and easy to overclock my 12700k following the tutorials.

I'm coming from a fairly old PC a built a couple years back. Everything feela so much simpler this time around. The motherboard has so much I/O. I never really thought about how few ports I had until upgrading to this. On-board Wifi is great when needed but I mostly use ethernet. Even though I paid a premium for DDR5 it was worth it especially with this board.

Great motherboard with amazing features, slots and extras!
The wifi makes it easy to connect ,
I initially bought this for a white build until it came and i realized that the MSI dragon did not have any RGB!
My first build i gave into the RGB and made sure all my items had some color , just to get it out my system first time around and that is the only bummer for me , other than this this motherboard does the job!

MSI Rules!!! Nice heavy DDR5 Motherboard for the $

I have had this MSI z690 Force motherboard for almost a year, absolutely no regrets!! It has worked seamlessly with the Corsair Dominator 5200 DDR5 ram and 12th gen Processor! Tons of Options, lots of heatsinks for the m.2 drives, looks great and runs better then it looks which should say a lot LOL!! I also REALLY appreciate being able to keep an eye on the temperature by just looking at the direct readout on the motherboard!
So long story short, this MSI board is a great buy! I WOULD suggest it!

Had this board now for about 6 months with no issues. Works well if you are doing a white build if you don’t mind that it is mostly silver. I am running a intel 13900k with Nzxt 360 kraken aio 32gb ddr5 ram in case it helps.

I was on the fence of whether to purchase this MSI Force Z690 motherboard or the MSI Z690 Ace motherboard. I am glad I didn't bother waiting on the Ace. The Force has rgb, looks better and matches my white case a lot more than the non-rgb black and gold would have. The Ace on the other hand would have a higher performance overall for things like overclocking. However, I am not trying to set any world records so for my pretty standard overclocking of the intel 12900k, the Force has more than enough power. I also appreciate the 5 M.2 slots although I only use 2 and PCIe 5.0 - hopefully, we can get some GPUs released and in stock that'll support 5.0 next year.
What I don't like? I don't like how it is difficult to find what PCIe and M.2 slots use what channels and if it's from the CPU or board itself. I'd like it if those things were more clear with any easy diagram that has some text and example. For example, using this m.2 slot limits to x on this PCIe slot etc. I also, wished there was some buttons on the motherboard and an extra USB as most people need two just for the case.
All in all a great purchase and I am very happy with it. I've never had any issues with MSI products but will update if I run into any.

I've only had this installed for a little bit, but I've been very pleased with it so far! I was very nervous to do this build because it's my first one in over 10 years, but this motherboard made it so much easier to manage things.
There were enough ports for what I needed (AIO cooler, 10 fans total with RGB, case I/O) and everything had a place on the mobo without issue.
I was even able to use a different brand of fans (Lian Li SL120s) with the AIO (NZXT Kraken Z73), which required me to use both the PUMP_FAN and CPU_FAN headers, in addition to many of the SYS_FAN headers since I couldn't run it all from the same controller, but there were even some headers left over after all that. It also had plenty of RGB headers.
I was also really impressed with the build quality, the packaging, and the contents. Drivers were included in a nice USB which was very nice to have.
Definitely would recommend this to others (Nevermind the fact that it's great to look at)!
