    Revolutionary Upgrade

This is my first foray into OLED other than a switch OLED (which is what got me turned onto them in the first place) and this monitor is AMAZING. The blacks are PERFECT. Add to that the HDR settings and it makes games pop like crazy. I played some dead space on it and the sparks during the intro sequence were practically blinding there was so much contrast. Honestly seems like a bigger upgrade than my new GPU to match. It is, however, an OLED screen - which makes it a little fussier than a standard IPS monitor. MSI includes a ton of anti-burn-in measures as well as a 3 year no burn in guarantee so I don't foresee any issues on that front. The software included is great for the most part - BE SURE TO DO A FIRMWARE UPDATE AS SOON AS YOU GET THE PANEL. It makes that much of a difference. It can only be done via display port but they have started including a DP cable as of this review. Also be sure to set the refresh rate and HDR settings in Windows or you'll not be getting the full experience. My only complaint is that the software for the monitor, MSI Gaming Intelligence, has a permanent download link for Norton in the top right corner. Not a deal breaker for sure, but I don't want even reminders of that malware on my PC - let alone the real thing. Overall, for the price and performance this monitor is a game changer. QD-OLED is the future, and this monitor is a delicious taste of it. The contrast does take a little bit of getting used to, but I am never going back to an IPS display. Even now I'm looking at my LCD steam deck and wondering if I should get the OLED.

The MSI MPG271QRXQDOLED is a powerhouse of a monitor, designed to offer exceptional performance for gaming enthusiasts, professionals, and those who demand the best visual quality. With a 27-inch Quantum Dot OLED panel, a QHD (2560x1440) resolution, and 360Hz refresh rate, this monitor stands out in terms of both its technical prowess and sleek design. Display Quality: 5/5 The Quantum Dot OLED display delivers vibrant and accurate colors that pop with unmatched depth and sharpness. OLED technology is known for its true blacks and superior contrast ratios, and this monitor is no exception. Colors are rich and immersive, providing an outstanding visual experience for both gaming and media consumption. The QHD resolution strikes a perfect balance between clarity and performance, offering a crisp image without putting too much strain on your GPU. The HDR400 support ensures that high dynamic range content is displayed with bright highlights and deep shadows, making games and movies look spectacular, especially in darker scenes. Whether you’re in a brightly lit room or gaming at night, the contrast and brightness are optimized for all environments. Performance: 5/5 One of the highlights of the MPG271QRXQDOLED is the 360Hz refresh rate combined with a 0.03ms response time. This ultra-fast response makes it an ideal choice for competitive gamers. Motion blur is nearly nonexistent, even in fast-paced games, and the monitor handles rapid movements with precision. Whether you're playing first-person shooters, racing games, or fast action titles, the performance is top-notch. The inclusion of FreeSync Premium eliminates screen tearing and stuttering, ensuring a smooth and fluid experience even in the most demanding scenarios. This is a key feature for gamers who want to minimize input lag and achieve a competitive edge. Build and Design: 4.5/5 The design of the MSI MPG271QRXQDOLED is sleek and modern, with ultra-thin bezels that make it perfect for multi-monitor setups. The stand is solid and adjustable, providing a comfortable viewing experience no matter your sitting posture. You can tilt, swivel, and adjust the height to find the optimal angle for gaming or work. While the build quality is excellent, the overall design could benefit from more ergonomic features such as a slightly more refined cable management system. However, this is a minor issue given the monitor's overall performance and visual capabilities. Connectivity: 4.5/5 In terms of connectivity, the monitor has a DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 ports, making it compatible with the latest graphics cards and gaming consoles. It also supports USB ports for peripheral connectivity. While it’s well-equipped for most use cases, the lack of additional USB-C or Thunderbolt ports might be a drawback for some users looking to streamline their setup. Gaming and Content Creation: 5/5 This monitor is a dream for both gamers and content creators. Gamers will appreciate the responsiveness and ultra-fast refresh rate, while content creators will benefit from the accurate color reproduction and HDR400 support, which is ideal for photo and video editing. Whether you're editing high-resolution videos or engaging in competitive online play, this monitor handles it all seamlessly. Overall Verdict: 4.8/5 The MSI MPG271QRXQDOLED 27" Quantum Dot OLED monitor is an impressive display that combines cutting-edge technology with stunning visuals. From its Quantum Dot OLED panel, 360Hz refresh rate, and 0.03ms response time to its sleek design and strong gaming features, it is an outstanding option for anyone looking for top-tier performance in both gaming and professional work. Though its connectivity options could be slightly expanded, it remains one of the best monitors on the market for enthusiasts who demand the best.

This is a fantastic monitor that I picked up on a Black Friday sale. It is an insanely fast OLED panel at 360hz. The glossy panel has a wonderful picture with deep blacks and vibrant colors. The screen can pick up glare from lights in the room, but it is very manageable and hasn't been a an issue for me. The features are also impressive with two HDMI 2.1 ports and a KVM switch to easily switch between two computers. It is also fully compatible with Series X and PS5 as it can accept a 4K signal and downscale to 1440p. I highly recommend this monitor.

I came from an IPS 165hz 1440p monitor and this MSI QD-OLED blows it out of the water in colors and motion clarity! I mainly play Apex Legends and for how fast that games movement is, this monitor really helps making that game very enjoyable to play. I am thankful for the OLED care features that MSI has provided on this monitor that you dont even have to worry about burn in for this generation of OLED tech. Finally a monitor I can get excited to play some games on. HDR is something else. Doom Eternal looks insane! If its in your budget, just buy it! Stop waiting for something down the pipeline, enjoy yourself, enjoy life xD

Pricing wise it is $100 cheaper than the alienware with the same panel. The monitor itself has a robust plastic build while the stand is made up of study metal. The height, tilt, swivel, and pivot adjustment are very nice and fluid. The OSD joystick is very simple to use and there is plenty of adjustments available. The texting fringing is definitely a lot better compared to the WOLED 240hz and older QD OLED panels. The reflective coating is a lot nicer to use as it doesn't emphasize the text fringing or introduce graininess like the WOLEDs. Unfortunately bright lights in front of the panel cause the black levels to be raised and turn purple-ish. I recommend usage in darker rooms. 3 Year burn in warranty is very good for peace of mind and the OLED care should help mitigate most of it. The panel offers an insane 0.3 millisecond average response time, which results in excellent motion clarity with no noticeable inverse ghosting. The HDR capabilities are also very good with bright vibrant colors with plenty of saturation. The color spaces are also very accurate with 98.9% DCI-P3 coverage and 97.9% Adobe RGB coverage. My panel had very good factory calibration with little to no color tint. This panel is a very easy recommend for those who enjoy both FPS and open world games. It is very well suited for both scenarios as it has a 360hz refresh rate and super low response times. In open world games the HDR is excellent and I have no complaints.

Overall this monitor provides a solid gaming experience, but unfortunately has some drawbacks that keep it from being my end game OLED monitor. The Good: -360Hz is extremely smooth and responsive -Great SRGB color accuracy right out of box -Solid OSD options with lots of customizations for different needs -Lots of good OLED care features to mitigate burn-in issues (some better than others) -Support for firmware updates -Pricing is competitive compared to similar displays The Bad: -DSC causes issues with fullscreen applications stalling when tabbing in/out on Nvidia GPU's Lack of DisplayPort 2.1 support (DSC required at 360Hz/240Hz with DSC disabled) -Inconsistent response times on firmware prior to V0.11 -HDR color accuracy/curve is somewhat oversaturated and not completely accurate (supposed to be fixed with future firmware update) -Panel protect feature is unable to be turned off; forces monitor to enter panel protect mode after significant usage and will turn itself off (had this happen on multiple occasions while gaming) -Scaling issues with non-native resolutions (4x3, 5x4, and 16x10) Would I recommend this monitor based on the issues I've experienced? Hard to say tbh (at least in its current state). Hopefully the issues can be fixed with future updates. I think this monitor has/had a lot of potential, and for the price is good. Being unable to tab in/out of games without the monitor going black for 20-60 seconds ruins all usability for me. If you don't tab in/out of games much or don't mind playing games in borderless, then this wont be a big issue. There are a lot of pro's to this panel that still make me hesitate, but I will likely be returning it. Anyways, don't let this review be the decider on whether you purchase this or not. I'd recommend doing some research and looking at more reviews before purchasing though.

This is my first OLED monitor and I am blown away by the response times and the color accuracy provided. The monitor reaches up to 360 Hz on my HDMI 2.1 port. The colors are extremely accurate including black being a much deeper black than a normal IPS, additionally the features provided like power delivery through the KVM and lead care features are a greatly appreciated, added bonus. Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase and it would be difficult for me to go back to a non-OLED monitor. MSI has been vocal on several forums regarding future firmware updates, which I look forward to, as the monitor will only improve over time.

This monitor is such a big jump from the 144Hz gaming monitor I previously had - gaming in 360Hz is butter smooth! After optimizing my settings for first and third person shooters, I noticed myself performing so much better because I was able to keep consistent visuals on my targets and general environments. I am enjoying HDR mode as well, especially as it is able to keep sufficient brightness to display all those crisp colors. The monitor settings themselves are very intuitive and I did not need to make too many adjustments to the color balance out of the box. As a tip, you need to click into the OK joystick button to access the menu - the other non-power button is a mappable button and may require you to assign an action before it's usable (I initially thought it wasn't working right). Also, updating the drivers for this monitor may cause your integrated graphics to disable in the BIOS (so don't freak out right away that the ports are not working). No regrets at all, it's a great gaming monitor that will last you a very long time!

Previusly I was using a C2 Oled for my main display. Going from 4K woled to 1440p Qd oled I thought would be a deal breaker but I love this monitor. 360hz is butter smooth and the glossy screen makes the oled colors pop. The monitor is great.

MSI has set the bar for oleds. This is what you should expect from OLEDs, perfect blacks and popping vibrant colors for a lesser price then the competition. Bonus for goong MSI is you get more bang for your buck, KVM and good amount of ports. If you can grab one in stock, don't hesitate.

Great screen and 360hz were the main selling points for me. Chose this over the aw2725df due to the HDMI 2.1 not actually working for PC. Would have like the panel to be brighter, but its not too much of an issue. Would definitely recommend.

This is an excellent gaming monitor. My favorite aspect of it is the deep blacks, vibrant colors, high refresh rate, and instant response time. It is a huge upgrade from the 1440p 144hz IPS monitor I was using. I chose this monitor over the 32" 4k 240hz OLED versions due to the size and it being 1440p. I have an Alienware R16 with a 14900k and an RTX 4090 and pushing 300+ FPS on a 4k display is difficult but on a 1440p display it is very doable. I also appreciate the 3 year warranty from MSI that covers OLED burn in and the extensive OLED care built into the monitor. You can also upgrade the firmware which is a huge plus. Pros: Deep black, vibrant colors, 360hz refresh, OLED care, 3 year OLED burn in warranty, good price compared to other manufacturers, easy configuration, easy firmware updates, near instant response times, good text clarity. Cons: OLED burn-in is still a concern, having to perform maintenance to prevent burn in, have to periodically update the firmware (although that is also a plus for new features and bug fixes) Overall the monitor is better than I expected. I have an OLED TV but this is my first OLED monitor and I am extremely impressed. If you can afford it and need a new 1440p gaming monitor then I highly recommend. Thanks - William V

Best motion clarity and visuals ive seen on a gaming monitor. Glossy OLED + 360hz = phenomenal. It’s perfect for FPS games but makes everything look beautiful. Colors look amazing. I would recommend playing in a low light setting as lights will reflect off the surface. It is packaged well with a protective peelable layer over the surface. Only complaint is the short powr cord and short usb-B cable. Other than that best monitor I’ve owned and only $799.

The MPG 271QRX QD-OLED is a 27 inch 360hz OLED monitor that provides you with an amazing viewing and gaming experience with its vibrant colors and high refresh rate. The monitor was packaged very well and included a protective peel on the screen to help prevent scratches during shipping. The box also includes an adjustable stand, 2.1 HDMI cable, and screws for a wall mount. Since this is an OLED monitor there is a chance of burn in however to combat this MSI provides a 3 year OLED coverage and OLED Care 2.0 which detects static objects and lowers the brightness of the static object to help reduce the risk of burn in. The picture quality on this monitor is amazing and the high refresh rate makes it a great option to play fast paced tac shooters. I highly recommend this monitor for media consumption and gaming.

As an avid gamer, I am always on the lookout for the next level of immersion and performance in my gaming setup. The MPG 271QRX QD-OLED monitor has truly revolutionized my gaming experience. Its standout feature, the 2560x1440 QD-OLED panel, delivers breathtaking visuals with vibrant colors and deep blacks. The 360Hz refresh rate combined with the rapid 0.03ms(GtG) response time ensures that every frame is rendered smoothly, resulting in unparalleled fluidity and responsiveness in fast-paced games. This level of visual clarity and speed has elevated my gaming sessions to new heights, allowing me to react faster and immerse myself fully in the game world. I chose this product over others primarily because of its next-gen QD-OLED technology. While there are many gaming monitors on the market, the combination of QD-OLED, VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification, and the 3-year burn-in warranty stood out to me as unparalleled in terms of visual quality and long-term durability. Additionally, the inclusion of HDMI 2.1 ports with 48Gbps bandwidth and features tailored for console gaming made it the perfect choice for my multi-platform gaming setup. In terms of fulfilling my needs, the MPG 271QRX QD-OLED monitor exceeds all expectations. Not only does it meet the demands of today's most graphically intensive games, but it also provides future-proof features such as HDMI 2.1 support and OLED Care 2.0 to mitigate burn-in risks. The adjustability options and MSI's Gaming Intelligence App further enhance usability and customization, ensuring that the monitor adapts seamlessly to my preferences. The strengths of this product are numerous: exceptional visual quality, unmatched speed and responsiveness, comprehensive gaming features, and long-term durability with OLED burn-in protection. However, one potential weakness could be its premium price point, which may deter some users. Nonetheless, considering the unparalleled gaming experience it delivers, the MPG 271QRX QD-OLED monitor is worth every penny for serious gamers looking to take their gameplay to the next level. Overall, I cannot recommend this monitor highly enough—it's a game-changer in every sense of the word.
