Have to emphasize this is a very big rtx 3080. Measuring over a foot long you're going to need room in your case to outfit it. In terms of performance provided you're not limited by your CPU it runs any modern title at ultra well above 60fps as of 2022.
The card itself is fairy quiet even with max load, and at low load it's near silent {when the fans are actually running}.
Works with mystic light to control the RGB which is included in Dragon\MSI Center which also give you access to fan curves and some other performance options.

As expected, this card has been able to handle pretty much anything I throw at it. It is on the pricey side as other reviewers have noted but you are definitely getting your moneys worth. It runs surprisingly cool and it's very quiet. Would recommend this card if it's in your budget.

Only knock is the pricing being over MSRP, unfortunate but part of life. This card runs silent and cool, and is FAR faster than my 5700XT was. This really was a massive jump forward from the last generation. Would recommend, however if you can hold out prices will likely come down after the holidays.

Elite performance from a video card. I upgraded from a 3060ti and it was definitely worth the upgrade. Plays 1440p with no issues. MSI upcharged this card quite a bit, but it still is worth it if you can get it for MSRP.

Actually bought this for my brother-in-law. First time. I was actually able to find one on any site so jumped right on it. Had to call him just to verify he wanted it because the price is unjustifiably steep for a in store card, but he had been waiting for over a year and a half and was willing to pay.
Performance wise he’s now maxing out every game he has time to play. He went from 2 SLI 980’s so he’s noticing a massive performance boost paired with his Intel i7 9700. He’s monitor is 1440p 100mhz with no HDR so he’s definitely not pushing it like it was a high end 4k monitor. He’s purchased a few new games and replayed a few games he’s bought every over the last 3 years just to see them Merced out.
Great card, way inflated price.

Whatever. I have a legitimate purchase now with a warranty, glad to be done from the hunt.
As for the card itself, great so far. Farcry 6 at 1440p with maxed settings is averaging 150fps. I'm set for 5+ years.
The colors on the RGB are vivid and well done without being obnoxious. The MSI app to configure it is average, you get the typical basic options. It's no iCUe.
It scared me at first when the fans don't turn on at idle, but it turns out that's just some kind of default setting. They turn on once a game starts, so that's cool.

Stays cool and quiet, just as powerful as you’d expect a nearly top-of-the-line graphics card to be.
Still too expensive compared to the Founder’s Edition, though.

This is the 2nd 3080 I’ve purchased, and also the 2nd MSI 3080 I own. The gaming Z packs a little more Factory Overclock than the Gaming X with great cooling. I love MSI products and can’t wait to use this in a new build!

Awesome graphic card for gaming at 4k. The card is quite expensive compare to other 3080s, but it's worth the extra.

This thing is beastly, coming from a 2080, I didn't think the upgrade would be that noticeable, but it was when everything looks pretty at 144hz 2k monitor status. Faster out the box over the Gaming X Trio with a slightly higher OC. If you can finally get your hands on one I would highly suggest it.

This card is fantastic. Looks great, both on screen and in the case. No problems with any games I have tried at 1440p with max settings. I need to try and dig up a 4k monitor to really see what it can do.
