Customers value the SUPER VENTUS OC NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super 8GB GDDR6 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Card's high performance, excellent frame rates, and impressive graphics capabilities, particularly in games and VR applications. However, some customers express concerns regarding the card's cooling system, noise levels under heavy load, and its price point relative to performance. While many appreciate the ray tracing features and high resolutions supported, the size of the card and potential for coil whine are also noted drawbacks. Overall, opinions are mixed, highlighting both strengths and weaknesses.

the card performs great, and stays relatively cool. Its no strix card. But it stays cool enough for a mild overclock. The biggest gripe I've seen (and now heard) is the noise. The fan noise is jet engine at 90% but you almost never reach 90% in normal games. The biggest thing is this AWFUL coil whine at medium-high load. But other than that it performs fine

I upgraded to this card from a asus 1060 and wow the difference in graphics is amazing. The card runs around 42 to 48 Celsius under load so it runs pretty cool. I highly recommend this graphics card

Great card but not best 2080/2080 super available

The card performs great and I get great a stable FPS in most games however, the MSI afterburner utility prevents any sort of OCing the scanner netted a max of 12 mhz... sad for a 2080 super. The temps are hotter than expected sitting at maxes around 84 c while gaming in very well ventilated case (MSI's 200-300$ case) with stock clocks. There's no option for increasing power limit at all, potentially fixable with a vBios update however none have been released. For a 2080 super it is kind of disappointing, my MSI 2080 (non super) Gaming X Trio was quieter, cooler, and performed on average 5-10 fps higher. I'd only recommend this card if you absolutely want a 2080 super but don't want the FE version but want to get the lowest tiered 2080 super you can. For the nearly 800$ price tag after taxes this card doesn't perform as an 800$ card should (again this could potentially be fixed with a vBios update but at this point in time I'd say go with an FE, or go with a slightly cheaper 2080 (non-super) and overclock as you will get near to the same or better performance while also saving 100$+.

The gpu market is ever and always fluctuating, so it's hard to determine what the future holds. What can be certain is that, if frame rates are important and ray-tracing is something you want to experience, this is the card to do it. Though it does come with a considerable price tag, there are currently only a handful of cards that trump this one, and even at that rate they're more trade-offs than straightforward upgrades. This card remains to be a somewhat more affordable solution for the highest end of performance.

So I am 53 years old and started gaming in the 80's. I followed NVIDIA which used to be 3DFX. I have been gami ng on AMD cards, because they have slightly better color and shadowing. But I bought this card and it destroys the AMD Cards performance. Frame rates are smooth, consistent and I am willing to lose color, shadowing for performance. Although very expensive, it makes up for it in the long run!

I ended up with this card because I bought a 2070 Super but decided I wanted a little more, so I returned it and get this one as it was the only 2080 Super they had in the store. Here are my observations:
Pluses:
1) Mild overclock from stock speeds.
2) Quiet fan.
3) Plays everything I can find at ULTRA settings without a hiccup.
4) Temperatures are well within acceptable ranges (this may be due to the fact that I have a huge case with great airflow).
Minuses (These don't even count - they're minor nitpicks):
1) It's $229 more than the cheapest 2070 Super.
2) No RGB lighting of any sort. This is not due to a problem with the card - that's how this card is.
3) My eyes can make out any visible difference in frame rates from the 2070 Super - how high of frame rates do you really need?
Ultimately I may end up with another 2070 or maybe even a 5700 XT - money really isn't the issue - it's the fact that above and beyond 60 FPS I can't tell the difference , but these newest enthusiast cards are so high that it's straight up silly to pay for something you can't tell the difference on!
YES - THIS IS AN AWESOME PRODUCT - but maybe too awesome (if that's possible?)

This card is a heavy beast, but it gives you great FPS and resolution. Pair it with a good amount of RAM and a good CPU and you'll have a monster PC. The only downside is it can be loud when it is very taxed.

Awesome card. Will play any game under the sun (so far) and it's very good at ray tracing. Hard to beat this for right now. Maybe a little pricey but if you're looking for performance this is it.

This graphics card works incredibly well and handles any and I mean any current game you can think of easily in 1440p at 100+ frames. 4K is where it dips but still holds 60+ keep in mind though some games just aren’t optimized for pc by developers such as red dead redemption 2 and will see bad performance no matter what. Research games you want to play before you make gpu decision always! While this gpu is great it is however over priced per frame when looking at benchmarks. I do
NOT regret my purchase however as it performs how I expected. If you can really afford buy it, don’t cut corners where you need them just to have this.

This GeForce RTX 2080 Super is really worth the price. It allows me to run games on high graphic settings without bottlenecking and works well with my AMD Ryzen 7. It is a bit bulky and does not have any RGB but it is very minimal to the power that comes with it. I can finally stream without sacrificing my graphics and am able to use dual monitors pushing 1080p each and one at 144hz. Even while streaming, I can run Call of Duty past 200fps. As a novice PC builder, it was super easy to install this card. But do make sure your ports are the correct ones and the same for your PCIE slots.

New build.
Intel i7 - 9700k 3.6GHz processor
Asus ROG Strix Z390-E Gaming MB
MSI Super Ventus OC Nvidia RTX 2080 Super graphics card - spent the extra money to go with the 2080 rather than a 2060 or 2070. This card should be capable to handle anything I throw at it over the next several years so I thought it was a good investment now.
Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32GB 3.2GHz
Corsair Hydro Series H100i RGB processor liquid cooling
Corsair Crystal Series ATX Mid-Tower Case
This machine is working beyond what I had even hoped for. Haven't done any 4k gaming yet but it's handling everything else with ease.

Paired this with an i9-9900k and I was getting 299 FPS on my first person shooter (Overwatch). I made it fit by moving some cables around but it was too big for my Mid-Tower, but I was uncomfortable with the look so i took it out for now, removal was difficult but i had a tight fit. Great performance. Always hold out on buying a GPU for when a free game comes with it.

What can I say, it’s a 2080 super. It’s powerful. Please be aware that this is the cheapest model of the 2080 super out there. Don’t expect the best thermals. I recommend running the fans high on MSI Afterburner in order to get the best performance. Play your games with headphones. It gets loud. The build quality is worse than the original 2080, but solid still. Get a 2070 super for value. I would buy a different version of this card if I could go back in time.

I moved from 670gtx to 1080gtx than to this...can’t compare it really the performance you get from this paired with ryzen 3700x. I am playing on 3440x1440 acer predator and it’s perfect, maxes out gta5 100fps vsync my monitor very smooth. I was debating to wait for next gen but impatient and this card will go long way just like 1080gtx did. 1 star off because fan get kinda loud while gaming with very ventilated case.

I recently bought a vr headset and was blown away how fun it is but on some games my gtx 1070 wasn't quite up to task. After upgrading to rtx 2080 super, wow, just wow.
Everything runs smooth and perfect. Berry happy.
It does run a little hot but not bad. I plan on adding liquid cooling later on.

I put this card into a system with a Ryzen 9 3900X, and 32GB of 3600MHZ RAM. This system runs The Witcher III at 4K at 60FPS with no drops. It's an amazingly quiet system as well, which means that this card is quiet. It spins up a little bit under heavy load, but it never gets crazy loud. I'm pretty impressed with this card.

This card is great. Easy as can be to update. Can run just about anything and is easily overclockable. While the 2070super is a bigger performance to cost value the 2080 is just a beast of a card. Requires one 6 and one 8 pin power connection and is a very large card. Over all its been everything i could want in a card

The new 2080 Ventus Super looks and feels cheap from the original 2080 Ventus that launched with RTX I included pics of my original 2080 and the new one and you can see the lost the heat fins and cheaper out on the cooler I'm serious it feels lighter I don't know if MSI overbuilt the originals being a new architecture and all or what but it just feels cheap now sorry MSI
