Runs Adobe CC suite nearly flawlessly

This laptop was purchased for photo and video editing and does amazing. It fits perfectly in the laptop sleeve of my camera bag. Every now and then the Lightroom CC app will crash on me but that’s probably software. I don’t really like some of the stock software (steelseries, MSI, Xbox) that pops up every now and then and I don’t really mess with PC’s so I haven’t removed them I just deal with it. I think twice in just over a year I’ve had to do a hard power cycle in order to start the computer. The power adapter is a huge brick (like the size of the Xbox 360 brick) and that’s a bummer but worth it for the juice. I have it hooked up to a 32” monitor with DP and that works great!

Handles dota2 at 230+fps and yet temp is below 80c. The stupid side? The cable between AC brick and the laptop is too short, you can’t use it without putting the brick on desk when you are sitting high… the other, horrible touchpad, slow, not responsive to clicking… third, 1080p 360fps is not comparable to 2k 165fps for those who don’t play cago or something.

This is my first gaming laptop, Man I highly recommend this to you, this laptop not only fast but built very well it is steel series so it might be a little heavy for some. you will not have to worry about it getting damaged. The screen is very crisp and bright, playing games on this laptop almost feels fake it is so clear the response is amazing. The battery is not the best but for the gear this has in it i can understand. Love the feel of the keyboard and the lights are awesome fully customizable.

Just got this shipped and was well packaged. The laptop looks really nice and is running well. Screen looks good and games run good at high settings. Haven't had long enough to see any issues or rate the battery life. This is running a lot better than an Omen 16" gaming laptop I had to return because it was having issues.

    Great Gaming and Creativity Laptop

Im very satisfied with this great laptop. This laptop packs alot of power with its intel i9 12th gen cpu, 32 gig ram and dedicated nvidia rtx 3070ti gpu. It does great with most AAA games as well as indy games. Some older AAA games will not work properly with out manually configuring the gpu, display settings, and ini files. The laptop display is really good even for an HD 1920x1080. It seems UHD but its not. Everything was clear and smooth even at 60hz refresh rate(360hz is the default for this laptop). The dedicated gpu does support 4k. It handles creativity suites and app very well. I used a display recording app and a drawing app and both worked very fast. Sound is good overall for a laptop. The laptop fans can get loud but they do a great job of keeping it cool. I have a external fan mat that helps with cooling and I recommend getting one. The keyboard area never not hot just warm. It also has rgb lighting which is cool. You can configure each key or pick a preset. In my opinion the size is really good for a gaming laptop. Its about as thick as my Acer that I bought 6 years ago. It feels sturdy compared to some laptops. Its has a very sleek look compared to most gaming laptops. I feel like most are bulky and stand out too much. Overall this laptop has the right amount of features and is worth the price.

So no it’s a great little laptop graphics are amazing for a variety of games and it is lightweight and compact. The only downside and the only reason I don’t give this 5 stars is the hearing it dose have a tendency to get to hot to hold on my lap other then that it’s amazing and well worth it.

I'm super happy with this laptop. Great build quality, form factor, and pretty high power limit on the 1070ti graphics so it's not being power throttled as much as other models. Very well rounded specs. You will need the 12th gen i-9 to push 360 fps. The screen is only 1080p but it looks better than my old 4k 60hz display. The higher refresh rate is crazy. Coming from 60hz, games just feel more solid, tangible. My old laptop was 4k 60, also a 15 inch laptop, and at this screen size I don't miss the extra resolution. With the 4k screen menus etc were always super small, and display scaling options didn't always work. If portability wasn't as important to me I would have gone with a 17inch 1440p 240+hz. But I travel constantly for work, so being able to fit this in to a standard laptop backpack is a huge benefit. If I want to play on a bigger higher resolution monitor, I have a 22inch 1440p 165hz gaming monitor at home, and a 50inch 4k TV.

Best thermals I've seen in a gaming laptop.

Wow! This is a beast of a machine. What really impresses me is how well it holds up thermally. CPU and GPU temps have never gone beyond 72 degrees in my experience thus far, even under the heaviest loads. Of course, the downside is that the fans, when maxed out, are pretty loud (I've seen them go over 5,000 rpm), but if I'm gaming or working, I've always got headphones on, so it's not an issue for me. Plus, MSI's software lets you set your own custom fan curves, so if the noise it really bothering you, you can always adjust it for situations like sitting in a waiting room. I don't do 4K gaming, as I prefer the response times and refresh rates of 1080p, but nearly every game I've tried with this (except for maybe Cyberpunk 2077) runs in the 100-plus fps range at max settings. Rendering with Cycles in Blender is super fast, so fast, in fact, that you can path trace over 1,000 samples in a preview scene and the progress indicator is barely on-screen long enough to read it when changing camera angles or editing a model.

Although the specs on this laptop are great, after over a year of ownership I've had to reapply thermal paste and clean out the 3070 Ti fans to tackle this overheating issue I had. Cleaning the fans is expected, but I figured the factory thermal paste would last longer than it did. As well, I have had to replace the CTRL key next to the arrow keys that some how snapped off while cleaning the keyboard. Seems like MSI has cut down on build quality over the years.

Without the charger in full blast settings, the battery wouldn't last for one-two hours depends on how it was used, mostly if playing high-end gaming, it overheated fast so it is recommends to use a cooling pad. Also if you don't mind the noise of the fan then this is definitely worth to buy for the overall performance running up to ultra settings upon slight tweak of the settings.

Great machine. Feels sturdy and durable, but is definitely heavy and the battery doesn't last super long (both to be expected to achieve this performance level) so just be aware of that if you're looking for something to tote around. Temperature stays reasonable when gaming. Ports are quite snug. Good price for the performance.

This laptop is wonderful. It works really well and doesn't seem to have any problems. I ended up getting this device with the help of some great geeksquad members because my luck with the Stealth series was frustratingly poor. This device is great, I haven't had any issues with it and would recommend it to anyone. However it is a bit chunky, which isn't bad, but when it comes to carrying this around in a backpack it can be heavy.

I needed something portable to video edit on the go. This had great reviews for the software I use. I game, but this will primarily be used for my gig work. It runs the software I use without crashing. It processes what I'm doing without difficulty.

Great performance. Does heat up, but not unreasonably for the performance it puts out. I definitely recommend purchasing a cooling pad to keep temps down, but I haven’t noticed the temperature affect the laptop yet. I wish I could revert back to Windows 10 because 11 is absolutely an unfinished product. Overall a great product.

Unbelievably fast. 32gb ram that you can upgrade to 64 if you want. Much better than my previously MacBook and your not forced to buy a new laptop once technology requires higher specs. Simply upgrade things. Bought this laptop so I can have long term. The battery life sucks tho, but guess what? You can upgrade it by buying a different models battery that fits.

This laptop is very fast with a very nice display. I got it for heavy graphics crunching and it did that well. But, it is hot. Almost literally boiling hot. 92 degrees C. When I under clocked the processor and ran the graphics at less intense levels, it “cooled” down to 85 degrees C. (Note C is not a typo, Celsius.) The fan was running on high speed the whole time. Yeah, freaked me out too. Got a cooling mat for it with 4 heavy fans for the laptop to sit on, but since there are no cooling slots on the bottom, it did not help much. Only about 3 degrees C. So, I returned it. I can’t imagine it would survive 3 years running at that temp and me trying to ignore the loud fan for that long.
