There is something about Mushishi that keeps bringing you back. It's weird, humorous, and touching all together. The music is heartfelt, and the storytelling is spot on. To tell stories consisting of otherworldly organisms while making it feel strangely human is a difficult task, but it is done so effortlessly that it stays on the mind even when it is long over.

It's great if you want a physical copy but don't have the cash for harder to find sets. Netflix has some uploaded, if you're hesitant on the anime; though it only has the original Japanese voices. This is one of the rare animes I actually enjoy both original and English dubbing. The interview and commentaries were interesting. They also have pages from the manga, if you haven't read any or all. (Comixcology has the complete manga if interested)
Some of the reviews I read mentioned cheap packaging. This might be due to a 4 disc series is fitted in a case you normally see in 1-2 disc boxes. The plastic also seems more flexible than the standard black cases. This gives the impression that the discs can dislodge easier but as long as you're not roughly handling it, it seems fine. It's just finally nice to have a physical copy for all my rewatches with that current language format mood.
