If you want to laugh your rear end off, then dive into volume 1 and 2 of MXC (Most Extreme Elimination Challenge). This Americanized version of the Japanese game show Takeshi's Castle is laugh out loud funny. American actors do the voice overs on the action that takes place during the game show. Japanese folks attempt some impossible stunts to continue to "stay alive" in the contest. The jokes (while raunchy and provocative) just keep on coming throughout the show. Some of the jokes are a little dated, but you'll get the idea. The DVD set doesn't have much in the way of extras, but you won't miss any of that because you'll watch the episodes from Season 1 and 2 over and over.

Don't pay attention to my ratings for Plot, Cinamatography, or Acting. It's not a movie so it won't get good ratings for those. MXC is one of the funniest shows ever on Spike TV. It is well done and you will be laughing most of the time as contestants from this Japanese game show make fools of themselves (accompanied by funny commentary) Extras: You get a episode of Takeshi's Castle (The Japanese show that is being spoofed) with subtitles and you get to see what the contestants are actually doing. All in all if you like funny shows I would highly recommend MXC.

Every single episode of this show is highly entertaining. I was quite excited to see it on dvd, and even more excited when I saw that 2 seasons were included for a great price.

Since its the first few seasons, their timing is off with some of the jokes they try to say, but they get better in the later seasons. still very funny show.

This show is hilarious. I got this for my mom for her birthday and she absolutely loves it.

This consists of the thirteen original episodes, and a few extra features. Two episodes offer commentary, which gives a nice behind the scenes look into the making and production of MXC. So, it offers all of the first season but nothing too staggeringly more. If you like the show and can watch if over and over again, then this is for you. But for the casual fan it may not be worth the purchase. The show is still aired on TV all the time.
