Customers are saying

Customers value the wireless functionality, ease of use, and range of this GamePad Classic Wireless Controller. Many appreciate the controller's compatibility with various Nintendo systems and its generally positive feel and responsiveness. However, some users experienced issues with connection stability and battery life, while others found the size less than ideal. The short cord length of the original controller was also a frequent point of criticism.

These remotes are a must have for the Nintendo classic. There just a few dollars more than the corded controllers and work great. Our couch sits about 20 feet away from the Nintendo classic and the controllers still work great. I don't notice any lag in game play. Controllers feel solid in your hand and buttons feel solid also. I would highly recommend these controllers.

Bought this controller as an alternative to the stock controller that’s included with the Nintendo Classic. The cord on the original Nintendo controller was too short, and it made playing games on a large TV unbearable. To be honest and given the price of the item, I didn’t have high expectations for this type of controller. I was expecting a noticible lag from the push of a button to the action on screen and for the materials to feel subpar; however, I was pleasantly surprised. There is no noticeable lag and the remote feels exactly the same as the original Nintendo controller in your hands. The remote runs on AAA batteries, which are NOT included, so make sure to purchase some as you pick up this item.

I read a lot of reviews saying it disconnects a lot or has terrible range, but in my experience it's been perfectly fine. I bought it for my 3yo son who loves playing my NES Classic and this controller works very well for him. The buttons and dpad feel fine for a controller at this price and he has no problems holding it in his hands. Personally, I feel it's a bit thicker than it should be, but that's because it uses batteries instead of being rechargeable, but again at this price point I feel that's ok. The Start, Select, and Home button are closer together than I'd like, but they work. The Home button is a nice addition, especially for my son. If you don't want to spend the extra money on the 8BitDo wireless controllers, then you can pick up two of these for the price of one of those. As an adult, I'd prefer the 8BitDo style controller, but this is perfectly acceptable if you're buying them for young kids.

My parents bought these controllers so they could have an old school retro game night. They’re very responsive an have great range. At lest 7’. The battery life is very long. The only downfall is that there is no indication of battery life. Since it operates on standard AAA batteries it’s expected though.

Wireless is the way to go with this system, especially since the stock cord is way too short. It does seem to have a small lag but all in all it’s worth the purchase. Still gives you that nostalgic feel, Just make sure to buy yourself some rechargeable batteries.

The biggest issue with the new NES Classic is the short cords on the controller. This wireless Bluetooth controller makes game playing much more enjoyable. Just plug the Bluetooth connector into the unit and start playing. The controller takes 2 aaa batteries, the batteries seem to last for a decent amount of game play. I have been playing for just over 3 weeks and haven't had to change the batteries yet.

I'm one of the lucky ones that secured the console on launch day. That said getting a spare controller proved impossible until this one became available. The range is great and buttons responsive. It's easy to pair the dongle and controller.

My only complaint about the NES Classic is the ridiculously short controller cords. Well this controller is wireless, looks and feels great, and is only a few dollars more than the wired controller.

Wanted a second controller for the Nintendo Classic and also the cord that comes with the the original controller is extremely short. This controller allows you play wireless and works great. No issues at all.

I am not sure why the NES doesnt come with wireless remotes. These work great though. So even spending another 15 bucks a pop still makes the system under $100. Only issue is if you have the block plugged into the box and you are not using the remote the lights will keep flashing. So say I have both plugged in and am only doing one player. The block for the remote not in use will flash until you press a button on the remote. You get a few mins but have to do it all over again. Womp

The controller pretty much delivers on its promise of wireless game play for the NES classic. For the price it does its primary function very well. The buttons even feel better than the original NES controller something of which I was concerned about until I was able to try it out for myself. There is a slight bit of lag but I does not affect gameplay significantly. It plays rather well and I was able to play Mega man comfortably so that's saying a lot. Try it out for yourself it's worth a shot for 15 bucks

Was able to pick up both the NES and SNES Classics before Christmas and already knew about the short cord issue on the controllers. While there are other controllers that are more faithfully designed than this, if you're looking for something inexpensive that works well, you can't go wrong. The D pad works very nice, it allows you to slide your thumb across it and it rocks on a pivot in the center just like the original NES controllers, so you don't have to lift your thumb for correct input. The A and B buttons feel solid when pressing them however I would have preferred the indent rather than the raised design these are, but I can look past that. I knocked one star for the unit not being rechargeable. We're at a point in technology that there is no excuse for not having rechargeable batteries in something like this. The cost for the tech is super low and lithium batteries are a very small cost when you consider having to replace batteries. A solution is to buy rechargeable batteries, but then you have to have a separate charger and extra batteries on top of that, so that's extra cost to make these "rechargeable". The good thing is that they boast up to 75 hours of play time on a set of AAA batteries. Other notable features include the home button, which is nice to switch games on the fly and make save states more manageable without having to go across the room to hit the reset button or remember the two-button press. The controller does feature an ergo grip design, not sure if this really helps, maybe for bigger hands, but for me I don't really notice a difference. I have not noticed any input lag, everything seems to respond as soon as you press any button, this is important when looking for wireless controllers. Setup is very easy, you literally plug the adapter into the controller port, turn the unit on, press the home button to connect and you're ready to play. The controller turns off after a few minutes of not being active, if in the middle of a game, you just have to tap the home button again. If you're thinking about a wireless controller and don't want to break the bank, this one will not disappoint. Also to note, there are two versions of this controller and Best Buy does sell both. The other version comes with a 6ft extension cable, but does not have a home button. The picture for this one does not show a home button, but it does have one (unless Myarcade has changed something).

    Classic Wireless Gamepad Review

This is the first time I've ever bought & used My Arcade products. This wireless controller for the NES Classic Edition was easy & no fuss using it - plug n play- just put batteries. I'll start with the good - wireless - didn't notice lag - controller has indentation to place fingers comfortably & light weight. Also big plus: press Select & Start together to go back to main menu! The negatives - d pad diagonals are hard for games like Super C - buttons are clicky/springy and need to press hard - sometimes wireless connection before gameplay needs to press start to reconnect (though never noticed lag or disconnection during game play) & use good quality batteries to have a better experience with this controller. I only bought one wireless control so I don't have experiences with using two to review any cross connection issues. Bottom line, if you need a cheap and good (not great controller) , get it. $14.99 is a good price and helps with playing the NES classic edition wirelessly. I've been using mine for a few weeks and still works. Just don't overwork this controller because I don't think it will last as a main controller for years and years. Good for those times you want wireless play!

I recently got the Nintendo Classic as a gift... the wired remote that comes with it has a short wire/cord and forces you to sit up close to the console. This wireless remote works great and allows you to sit further away from the TV & console. So far, no delays when pushing buttons, etc. I haven't tried it from far distances yet, but it works well when within 10 feet of the console. If you get a Nintendo Classic, I recommend getting this remote so you're not sitting so close to the TV screen.

The original controller cords are so short. This makes the games so much better on todays televisions. Very reasonably priced. I bought one for both of my children who grew up in Nintendo original era. These are grown ups now and love the games, my son was very upset with me because 15 years ago I sold his old original one at a garage sale. Hopefully this made up for that error.

So I am always leary of wireless controllers but this one seems to work well. One thing I did notice is that the buttons seem to need to be pressed a little harder to sometimes get them to register. I'm not sure if that is typical but it does it with all of the buttons so probably normal. It is much easier not having a cord attached and there were no issues using this across my living room which is about 20 ft distance.

I really like my wireless NES classic controller. I purchased another version by a different company and had all sorts of issues with it. The range on the controller is pretty good and there doesn't seem to be a delay when using it. Only thing that would make this better is built in rechargeable batteries.

A must have to really enjoy the classic Nintendo game console! The controller it originally comes with if not wireless and the cord is very short. Was having to sit very close to the machine. This cordless controller allows me to enjoy this classic to the fullest!

For this wireless controller, the connection is great! The pairing is super easy and takes playing to a whole new level! The wireless connectivity work well, there are minor delays but not troubling delays. The port connections are small so you can fit two wireless receivers and have both players play at the same time! The receivers have an led indicator that shows when paired and in use, its not too bright either so it will not blind you! The controller itself feels comfortable and it takes two triple A (AAA Size) batteries. The controller has the ability to perform the reset on the NES classic, so you don't have to get up and physically press the Reset button on the console. The controllers follow the NES color theme and compliments it! The controllers are square enough to have them stand upright, which makes the NES Mini look even sweeter! I have not tried the controller on the Wii or Wii U but I am sure it would work great! Definitely a must have accessory!!
