This membership has paid for itself with just a few purchases. The "Plus" price is often not really much better than the sale price for the same item/s from other retailers, but every once in a while, a truly spectacular deal comes through. We purchased a new Samsung Induction Range for our kitchen, which is an appliance that tends to be rather expensive. The price on Best Buy Plus was less than 1/3 the full retail price and over $1500 less than the next closest sale price we could find from any other retailer. We don't know why the price was so insanely low. One might think it's a bad product that should be avoided when priced like that, but it has hundreds of excellent reviews (4.5 stars average) from many different users across multiple retailers and we have had a first class experience with it. We couldn't pass up such a "screaming" deal on something we've had our eye on for some time. We also bought a pair of Nintendo Switch Pro Controllers on a screaming deal. The sale price on the controllers was low enough to offset the cost of the membership while still be a little lower than the cost for the same items anywhere else. That made the Plus membership a pretty easy sell for us.

I'm disappointed. I bought a new PC and ITUNES keeps messing up. I thought I would have no issues - but as it turns out the PC would not restart on its own, I had to get technical help to get that to work. This is supposed tpo be a gaming PC so i don't understand the issue with ITUNES. ANd to get help I have to pay the Geek Squad when they should have to help to make me happy - but of course - only money makes anyone happy - not a satisfied customer. The other problem I have is I signed in online and I saved my userid and password - but of course it says my information is invalid.

Lone Star, the installer, raised two additional issues for the built-in refrigerator and one issue for the dishwasher. Two lone Star inspectors gave clean chit to the builder who is refusing to address the issue as the house is handed over to me. The whole purpose of two inspections were to make builder rectify issues without any cost. I am a bit disappointed with the Lone Star inspections and am in a fix to get this done. I want these two appliances to move in. Hence, help is requested

It is probably worth getting for the return policy extension. Personal experience is that an open box monitor I purchased is not performing as expected. As I did not have the "paid" membership yet the option to return fell outside window. Lesson, Probably worth having is you are buying electronics that you need for work or other enterprises.

The processes of getting me approve for it was very fast and the sales staff that was doing it on computer was very friendly and experienced. And I also like the benefits of this membership it gives me the protection for something that I buy with my best buy card and also for no interest for one year. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to save some money for not paying interest for one year.

If you shop at Best Buy even just twice a year for mid to high price tech, this membership will almost certainly pay for itself and then some. Obviously if you purchase products with member only discounts attached you save the difference in the member price And the price listed retail, however there are opportunities to get money deposited back to your account whenever you find Best Buy listed price drops within the return period for that product. Not onl that, Best Buy has a list of competitors they will guarantee won't beat their price and if you find A price lower among the competitors... they'll return the difference to you if it's within the return period. Trust me, at $50, even occasional shoppers will find they save close to twice what the membership costs. Me? I save closer to 10× what the price of membership is. I also purchase latest gen brand name tech. Shows you the lengths Best Buy goes to give their customers the best deals.

When we come in knowing the category of product we need, but not knowing a brand or model, we can rely on him to guide us to products that have proven effective and durable for us at a much higher rate than earlier before we found him. Then he spends time helping us get the best prices on them that Best Buy can offer, sometimes a complex process. Overall the human factor like this is still crucially important in making us regular customers at a store. There are so many products sold by Best Buy in each product category, and often the particular models recommended by supposedly "objective" consumer rating services like CR and the New York Times' Wirecutter are not among them, that a good in store guide who is honest is essential to guide lay people towards purchasing an item that will be satisfactory, and avoiding high markup "duds". The payoff to the store is possibly accepting the tradeoff of lower markups on immediate sales, but gaining much stronger customer loyalty, and thereby higher returns in the medium and long term through a significantly higher aggregate gross sales amount over the years.
