Customers praise the 7.2.4-Channel 800W Soundbar System for its exceptional sound quality, with many noting the clarity and depth of the audio. The bass, in particular, is described as deep and powerful. Setup is also said to be a breeze, making it easy for users to get started. At its price point, customers feel they are getting great value for their money.
On the downside, some users have experienced connectivity issues, with the audio occasionally cutting out. Others have had problems with the rear speakers, while a few find the infrared remote control to be limiting due to its line-of-sight requirement.

Love my 7.2.4, worth every penny. I have a LG CX48 and Xbox One X hooked up to it. The hardest part was getting the ARC to work properly. The subs have cut out once since owning but was almost unnoticeable. The DTS, Dolby, etc all have their strengths and weaknesses to have options is awesome. It does take a while to dial in your sound to your taste. The HDMI ports run a bit warm but i keep a fan on it like I do most of my electronics. Compared to my Bose and Samsung 5.1 it is amazing. I love bass but have to keep it at zero or 1 when someone is home. Its not muddy or flat. Very close to a theater bass and clarity. Definitely recommend this! I was thinking sonos but didn't want to spend double for maybe a slightly better sound.

I typically perform extensive research before buying a product especially if it is a long-term investment. I considered a number of products before finalizing SHOCKWAFE ELITE 7.2 SSE. I have a decent size living room and I didn't want wires running around the room for connecting the speakers and therefore ruled out any system that required wiring. SHOCKWAFE ELITE 7.2 SSE is convenient because there are two separate subwoofers and the rear speakers are wired connected to the respective subwoofer making it clean and tidy. I am quite satisfied with the purchased, the only two issues I have is 1. When playing songs from Bluetooth, sometimes there is a 2 second loss of sound at the beginning of every song - I contacted Nakamichi and all they did was blame it on Bluetooth technology - I have not experienced this with Bose or Harman Kardon speakers and 2. For the price, the speakers don't support FLAC. The only other soundbar that I was impressed is Sony HTZ9F but it is way to expensive for a 3.1 speaker system with one subwoofer and no rear speakers.

I have an oddly shaped living room in that the center kitchen island causes the entire room to have a diagonal axis. End result is that the seating/tv viewing area is a trapezoid. I have always used a traditional receiver and speakers combination for my home theater (was once THX Certified) but this room couldn't really handle the speaker mounting for surrounds. At least not easily.
Enter the Nakamichi. The wireless dual subs with the accompanying wired surrounds are exactly what this room needed. And the sound is freaking phenomenal! I haven't had an opportunity yet to check all the bells ad whistles on this product, but for theater use, it is exemplary.
I don't have much experience with soundbars, and this one may be a bit pricey, but I can all but guarantee that you won't be unhappy with this selection.

Good quality sound. And this review is coming from someone who’s used to Bose surround speakers, velodyne subwoofer, Klipsch center speaker and Denon receiver. These systems I put together over 14 years ago before Bluetooth. So I was looking for something different without all these wires. Meanwhile, I bought this new big screen TV but the sound on it is terrible. So went to Bestbuy to buy sound bar but without me checking any reviews so I bought two different systems that I had to return because of the sound quality. Then I came across Nakamichi sound bar. Wow! This system is great value for the price. I will highly recommend this sound system to friends.

Honestly left lacking in many departments. The 2 subs is more of a gimmick then ground shaking bass. Ive had this a couple of months and im goimg to have to replace it due to the left channel being blown. The voice clarity is honesty very good, I've owned a lot of soundbars and this one really has great voice clarity. One thing that I seen in other reviews is the always on screen. I figured i wouldnt mind it but I do and its very bright! The hdmi ports are nice to have and it recognizes everything sourced to them. The best thing of all, the huge remote! Yes the huge remote im so sick of little remotes falling in the coach blending in with things lol! This remote is huge and literally cant be lost. Easy to hookup and looks great in the living room. Ive heard of an update to fix some sound issues but haven't tried it yet. I do have this all ran via HDMI arc from a 2021 LG OLED C series. I would definitely recommend this over other brands just because of the voice clarity and ease of use. But if you want to spen like 5-600$ more get the bose 900 but make sure you add the rear speakers. The rear speakers with this system are huge and the due sound good. Really the main issue for me is the bass. I wish i could adjust the subs only instead of the bass thoughout the system.

Unboxing and setup were very easy. However I started off with connectivity issues. The subs and rear speakers where phasing in and out really bad. I went to the customer support page and downloaded the software onto a usb thumb drive and updated the brand new system. I changed the frequency to the dedicated frequency. Speakers now work sometimes and other times I get crackles and pops. I contacted Nakashima customer support who showed me how to pair the speakers and walked me through some trouble shooting steps. End result I was told they would send me an email on how to change my router chanel settings. I spent an entire day trying to set this up. Bottom line I’m going to return this set up. The 600.00 Vizio set up I was trying to replace set up right of the box and never had one issue.

Just hooked up my Nakamichi Shockwafe 7.2. I ordered this unit without even hearing it in person. Went solely on reviews and YouTube videos to base my decision. Not disappointed one bit! Hooked it up and started playing Call of Duty and the sounds coming from all around me is amazing! The bass is controllable via the remote and is in no way overwhelming. As a matter of fact, you NEED 2 subs to complete the sound. I HIGHLY recommend!!!

Best Surround Sound I Have Ever Experienced!

I have had Kenwood 5.1 wired and Samsung 5.1 wireless surround sound systems over the last 10 years. I watched and read countless reviews and demonstrations before pulling the trigger on the 7.2.4 kit. I really wanted the 9.2.4, however my 15x15 room didnt have room for the extra pair of surround speakers and I was already happy with my single powered 8" sub.
The Nakamichi 7.2.4 is "out of this world" ridiculous in regards to sound quality. Definitely exceeded my expectations, even more so than my 70" 4K TV. 5-stars across the board!
Note* Please include a software update that would display the time during idle instead of "ARC" :-)

I purchased this system to replace an old Denon AVR 5.1 wired system I had as we were replacing the carpet in the family room with hard flooring and would no longer have a place to hide the speaker wire. After researching a bit I narrowed my options to the Nakamichi Elite and Samsung Q90r. I was looking for a small footprint and the Samsung Q90r with only one sub and the discrete speakers not needing to be connected to the sub, as does the Nakamichi, fit the bill. However, the Samsung had one too few HDMI ports which were a deal-breaker for me so I decided on the Nakamichi.
However, while waiting on the Nakamichi to arrive I decided to try out the Sony HT5000 which is billed as a competing soundbar and it was readily available for pickup at Best Buy. The function and quality of the Sony were great as well as the overall sound but I found it to be lacking in power not able to do real justice to movies or shows recorded in Dolby Atmos or DTS.
There is really no comparison between the Sony HT5000 and the Nakamichi Elite 7.2.4. And I do not say this as a slight to the Sony because for what it is, a true 7.1.2 soundbar system, it does a pretty good job. But comparing a 7.1.2 system with virtual surround versus a 7.2.4 with discrete surround is really not a fair comparison in my opinion. Not to mention that the Sony is giving up nearly 300 watts to the Nakamichi.
The bass produced from the two 8" subs is powerful and the discrete surround speakers gave me the surround effect I had with the old 5.1 plus the height for full immersion when listening to Atmos or DTS recorded audio. I thought the speakers needing to be plugged into the sub would be problematic but it was not. I have the sub sitting right next to the discrete surround speakers and each sub sitting in front of an outlet so no wires are "running" anywhere. The overall sound is clear and crisp and the vocals are distinct and can be easily heard even in scenes where there are loud noises such as gunfire or explosions. I have not jacked the sound as high as it can go simply because I am not able to tolerate it! Unlike the ST5000, I had it at max level without feeling anywhere near being overpowered by the sound.
The only complaint I have with the Nakamichi is that I cannot plug my cable box into the soundbar you will either get a distorted picture with no sound or sound with a black screen. At first, I thought the Nakamichi was defective but I called Nakamichi and was told that it is not recommended that cable boxes be connected to the soundbar but to the TV. However, I had no issues with connecting my cable box to the Sony HT5000.
This Nakamichi is an excellent theater system and its price point is $300 less than both the Sony that I returned and Samsung. If I had a dedicated media room or simply a larger family room I would likely have purchased the Nakamichi Ultra.

2 subs alone made me glance at it with more detail. The sound - once set up to you liking you will definitely noticed that true home theater experience. If you live in an apartment be careful since it will rock your neighbors. The setup - it took aboit 30 minutes with the appropriate best sound settings for your theater room. Not hard at all once you read the provided instructions. The price - once you research the competition you will notice how much you are getting for your hard earned money. The 2 subs make it a must add the 2 rear speakers (plugged to the appropriate sub ,measure your distances) alone would cost over $1k. Price was very fair for what you get. The customer service - Superb communication when setting up step by step, and friendly which is not very common these days for some reason. Overall - I made the right choice by picking up this unit. From music to film to video games its all packed with tremendous audio at home... give it a try and see for yourself.

I've had these speakers for a month now and I must say I'm blown away.
I had the Definitive Technologies Studio Slim as well as the Studio Advance before I got this Nakamichi set. I would say this Nakamichi beats the DT soundbars hands down in sound quality, build quality, sound technology and price.
You get so much more for the same price as the Definitive speakers. It has amazing sound. It does an incredible job with 7.1 and Atmos. Even 2.0 movies come alive thanks to upmixing. The sound is extremely immersive. You'll end up looking over your shoulder to see what's going on back there.
Very easy setup. The manual and quickstart guides are excellent and easy to follow. The remote can be a little intimidating, but the manual explains everything very clearly.
I wish the display was a little better, but you get used to it.
Best Buy shipped the speakers to me a day ahead of schedule which was great. Everything arrived in excellent shape.

This system is incredible! I love the simplicity of setup and the sound is awesome. The dialogue is clear, the surround effect is great, and the bass absolutely BOOMS. I couldn't be happier with this system. All the headache of setting up and using a traditional component system - why would you bother when this soundbar exists?!

This sound bar sounds great!!!! 2 subs are fantastic.
One thing I've noticed is the sound bar doesn't come in with the TV every time. I just have to turn it in. It may be something I've done, but I have it setup like the instructions say. So not sure. Also I do wish it had Alexa and Google assistant built in, but not a deal breaker. Works with Bluetooth, so it's ok. All in all, I'm happy with my purchase.

I also ignored this because I had never heard of this brand and was qary on quality. But I am so glad we gave it a try. This is the best sound system ever. The double bass really creates an immersive full sound and the rear speakers can be set up so they fire sound up and the front bar has so many speakers to fire sound all around the room. Watching war movies with this you really get a sense of bullets flying around you its insane. I love this, and will be a nakamichi brand owner from now on. Thier prices are so much more reasonable for what ypu get than the major brands. The only downside is that it doesn't have wifi so to update firmware you have to use a flash drive but its not such a pain that I'm upset.

I am not a young man from anyone's perspective and have always prided myself in having nice sound systems since I was a young teenager.
I never thought I would be able to have a better sound system than the Samsung Home Theater system we have in our bedroom.
We moved into a townhouse in the beginning of the covid-19 crisis and were unable to shop for a sound system for our new family room.
I did much research and decided on this system. It is awesome. Having the double subwoofers creates an incredible bass presence, yet it is not overpowering.
My husband is a musician and feels he can better critique his own recordings on this system than with a set of can headphones.
We are super pleased so far.

I am very pleased with my new Nakamichi sound bar. The extra speakers (2 sub woofers & 2 rear) offer excellent sound and was a noticeable upgrade from my Klipsch 3.1 system. With 4K UHD the sound is remarkable specially with Dolby Atmos especially with movies.
I will say don’t expect to get the system fine-tuned in short order. Set up is easy but adjusting sound is complex to get it just right. There are a lot of adjustments available and getting it just right takes time. It’s been over 3 weeks since purchase and getting help from the support team at Nakamichi has made made things absolutely great. One thing I wish they would improve and that is when connected with the HDMI arc sound is delayed when changing channels and with other stop and go actions. But overall I’m very satisfied with the product.
