We have a German Shepherd and we were hesitant at first to try a robotic vacuum for fear that she would try to attack it. After the frustration of constantly sweeping and vacuuming pet fur, we got the Neato D series vacuum. This thing is amazing! We set it to run downstairs at 3am every night and when we wake up we have perfectly vacuumed carpet and no fur in sight. It can be a little loud for transitions from carpet to hardwood but we are usually asleep upstairs and can't hear it unless we wake up. Pros: Easy to set up, maneuvers around objects effectively, cleans entire space including corners and baseboards, quiet, saves us time Cons: Must be emptied daily (but not a big deal), wont clean up heavily soiled areas as well as a standard vacuum, sometimes takes a second charge to finish downstairs (about 1200sf) when we set it for extra care

Overall I am very happy with this. It takes some time for it to learn the house but once it does it does great. I have dogs so it fills up quick but it gets everything. I have to empty usually twice per cycle, but so much better than using a traditional vacuum. I have not pulled out my Dyson since I bought this. One star off because I have had to clean the laser twice in the first few months.

I was hesitant to purchase this item because I have two giant breed dogs and a lot of puppy tumbleweeds that require me to sweep and vacuum daily. I was worried that the small tank would not be able to accodimate the sheer volume of pet hair, but after the first few cleaning, the vacuum can clean my upstairs living area (600sqft) without emptying the bin. While it does take about an hour to clean an area this size (which I could easily do in much less time), it is one less thing that I have to do myself. It is also nice to be able to place it in a room and close the door to have it clean when I am in another room. I had it set to clean nightly; however, since my bedroom is on the main level, the sound of the vacuum transitioning from the area rugs to hard wood was too loud and kept waking me up. Now I have it set to clean after I leave for work in the morning. I have had few issues with the vacuum getting stuck, and after adjusting the position of a chair, the issue resolved.

This vacuum does a really good job on low carpets. I can't vouch for higher carpets because I don't have any in my house. It's able to get to places that an ordinary vacuum would not be able to such as under couches and beds. It's shape, compared to the usual round robot vacuums, allows it to get closer to corners and edges. All you have to do is turn it on and let it go. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because of lately, it's been taking longer to figure out the area map and would go over a spot more than once. It may be a software issue because it took much less time in the beginning to do the same area.

Purchased first Neato 3 years ago then a 2nd one in 6 mo for another level of our home. The following Christmas purchased 3 through Best Buy online as Christmas gifts. This past Christmas chose to purchase another one from the Best Buy Store in Carbondale IL as a gift. Much to our surprise we were advised by the recipient of the gift that once opening for initial use discovered that the product had been used previously!!!****??? The plastic surface on top was scratched , the dirt collection container with obvious debris and brushes obviously used. It was returned back to Best Buy Store in another city and replaced. Returns to a store need to be inspected thoroughly before restocking the item.

This little robot vacuum is extremely easy to set up and operate. It will go under our high top table and chairs with ease and seems to have excellent navigation skills. I love the fact thay you can set a schedule for it to clean and it will notify you when it has finished. If the battery runs low it will return to the dock to charge and pick back up where it left off when its done charging. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a robot vacuum that is easy to use! It is great on our hardwood floors and carpet and it is worth every penny we spent on it!

Once I unboxed it, I was fairly surprised at how easy it was to set it up. Download the app, connect it to wifi, and start working. Also, it already came charged which made it easy to start using and test it right away. It's very intelligent and gets more efficient as it learns the room. Started by cleaning my main areas in about 90 minutes and now it's down to 60. Schedule works fine and it hasn't gotten stuck anywhere; I thought it would a couple of times, but it managed to get itself free by moving jerking back and forth and moving away from feet/wall "trap". Very satisfied with purchase so far.

Even though it's a new model in Best Buy's web page, I decided to purchase it since it can handle any type of floor. To be honest, I love it! Just remember to clean it right after using it. The app is very useful and let's you schedule when you want it to start cleaning.

Easy set up, easy programming, cleans the whole house on one charge. Mostly hardwood floors and tile. Does well on the little carpet we have.

It has more power than my actual vacuum, I don't think my carpets have ever been this clean and that doesn't even cover the fact you can schedule this guy to clean while you're at work and the interface is great!

The Vacuum cleans every corner and it tries going to every corner and keeps track of where it cleaned and where it has to clean. It cleans both Carpet and wooden surface equally well. The best part is it comes back to dock to charge when it is low in battery

I like Neato, it really covers my whole house and vacuum very good. The only things I don’t like is that they stopped making it get back automatically to its base.

It was amazing to see how much dirt and cat hair this neato robot is able to pick up. I highly recommend anyone to purchase it.

We are very happy with neato D5. I used it on carpet and tile floor. it cleaned very well. We have carpet, tiles and rugs on the floor. it does great job on all the floor types. I am happy with my purchase

Absolutely love it!! I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has a pet. It picks up the hair easily and I don't have to use the big vacuum everyday.

We have 3 cats and the Neato picks up all the fur balls. Works just as well on carpet as is does on tile!
