After reading the reviews & researching this Botvac & comparing with others on the market I decided to go with the Neato Botvac D80 in hopes it would help make life easier instead of dragging out the vacuum cleaner . We were both shocked at what it picked up in the trash bin after she had already vacuumed the old fashion way ! Best purchase & gift to my wife , she loves it !!!

I looked around awhile before making purchase. I even bought a Samsung first and returned it as it doesn't clean the corners as well without a side brush, and it is too tall to travel under my pet gate. Overall, the Neato is great on all hard floors. It cleans well and routes well. It picks up tons of stuff and great with pet hair on hard floor. On the carpet is where it is not so well. I have a short hair dog and he drops lots of hair. The Neato is very poor at pickup up the hair on the carpet area so I still need to use a regular stand up vacuum to finish the job. The filter compartment is also not very big (or my house is too dirty) which requires me to empty/clean it every two cleans.

seriously, I had one for two years, and recently upgraded to the botvac D series so I could have one on each floor! I would love to have 2 on each floor! There is nothing better than reliably coming home to clean floors and better air quality everyday! With 2 large dogs and a large parrot, the messes are never ending, but the Neato line of vacuums has ZERO problem with any of it!

Robot cleans up great, but initially it requires a lot of emptying the dirt chamber. Also takes a long time to navigate the house initially will have to see if that improves. Seems to go over same places a lot of the time.

The neato has helped maintain our floors especially since there's 2 little kids constantly making a mess. The suctions is strong, brush is wide, and the pattern that it uses to clean the floor is another plus as it does not miss a spot. These are the main reasons why we opted for the neato. It does find it's charging station easily once it's done cleaning the area. However, if you randomly press the button for it to return to the charging station in the middle of it cleaning, it seems to have a hard time finding it. I give it 4 stars because the first one did stop working in less than 30 days, but we got the extended warranty so it worked out.

My sister came over and asked about my Neato vacuum. I told her that it cleans hardwood, vinyl, and carpet all in one. She was so jealous. I brought the Neato over to her house and ran the vacuum. So much dog hair and dust! She was so impressed by it I bought one for her and her new husband for their wedding. They love it as much as I do!

After carefully going thru blogs and reviews, I wanted to try this instead of the Roomba 880 and boy I was glad I made that decision. Schedule it and forget it.. works thru corners, navigates complete house and picks up every little dust/trash. Recommended it for anyone looking for a Robotic vacuum.

We've had the D80 for about 6-7 weeks now. It works well, and "plans" its cleaning patterns, as opposed to randomly cleaning an area. It picks up at least as much as a good vacuum, but needs its dust bin cleaned out pretty often. We are satisfied with the performance of this unit.

I tried one other brand robotic vacuum first and returned because it won't pickup let alone find its way home to charger base. This Neato D80 I totally love. It picks up great (and we have 2 dogs and a cat) has NEVER gotten lost or stuck, and has ALWAYS found it's way home to the charger.

We had first bought the irobot 640. That didn't work out because it ran around like a headless chicken. The Neato is great. It scans its surroundings, plans the work. We love that machine. It's rare that it doesn't find its way back to base. That only happens when the battery is depleted because of too heavy a work load.

Tried the roomba, the Samsung powerbot, and even the Dyson. Neato doesn't have all the fancy bells and whistles but makes up for that with the best navigation and cleans just as well as the "bigger" robot vacs. I have purchased the xv-11, a botvac 70, two d80's, which have all been passed along to family who also love them, and now own the connected . nothing else out there even comes close

Neato has more of a pattern than roomba. Neato gets more tempramental tho he beeps when not happy which can be annoying. He kept getting stuck trying to get onto my carpet and beeps until you clean filter. Neato does not like to be lifted up either and will tell you. We have no pets nut did a great job where he cleaned. Not sure if I like the magetic strip on floor that prevents them from going to area or if I like laser towers of Roomba. I guess floor strips do not use batteries! The roller bars are different than Roomba 880 also, Neato is more like traditional vacuum beater bar looking.

My wife absolutely loves our Neato botvac80. It runs everyday and outside of getting hung up once in awhile it has performed flawlessly. We both feel it is such a time saver and our tile floors are very clean and shine when it's done. Change the filter occasionally and let it do its thing. We like it very much.

I love it it works great. It cleans very good. It was one of the best purchase I ever did. I would highly recommended.

Does a great job over a very large area, I am impressed on how much it picks up.

The vacuum was able to clean up large areas and provide good-excellent vacuuming. The filter however does get pretty dirty and is not easily cleaned out.

My botvac works amazing! I went from sweeping twice a day and collecting a huge pile of dirt and pet hair to once a day and only stuff that's in the corner. It's just a slight mission having to rearrange things so that you get optimal pathway from it.

Vacuums ok but needs to be emptied after every cleaning, is noisy, bumps into furniture legs, and screen requires glasses to read,

I got the Neato D80 for my wife 2 months ago, and she was very skeptical about its vacuuming abilities. She claimed that my purchase was driven by my gadget curiosity. Guess what, my wife the cleanaholic hasn't vacuumed in two months. She used to vacuum every day. It does a great job and even vacuums in places that can't be accessed by a normal vacuum cleaner.
