Simple to install, looks good and functions just as advertised. If you do your research and check preparation instructions, you won't have any trouble. Altogether, it took me about 45 min to an hour to install. However, I'm one of these people who reads the instructions, studies the assemblies and dry runs it. The only issue that I had was that I needed to make the bolt hole in the door frame a little deeper. That's the only place where I feel the product could help troubleshoot more effectively. After I installed it, set it up and turned things on, it did a self-test. It told me it couldn't finish the installation and I needed to check my set up. However, it didn't give any real clue as to what was actually wrong. After watching closely a few times, I was able to see where the trouble was. When it tried to lock by itself, the bolt wasn't able to go as deep as it needed to go. When I looked more closely at the instructions, I could see where it mentioned how deep the hole needed to be. Once I realized that, I had it fixed in 5 minutes with a hole drill (that I have because I'm a handly kind-of-guy). A chisel would have worked too, but this was easier for me. Once the hole was about another 1/2" deeper - it worked as smooth as silk. In the one picture, the assembly can be seen as being slightly out of level. This is because the original lock that was installed, was installed slightly out of wack. No-fault of this lock. I've already got some nest products: Smoke alarms and thermostat, so I had the app already installed. Adding the lock was as simple as a few taps from within the app and all done. Finding the right location for the (included) Nest Connect took a few extra minutes, but overall is a painless process. Have patience though! My wife and I love it! We especially like that we can give unique entry codes to different people and can put these on a schedule. Also handy is the ability to remotely unlock/lock the door and check the status of the lock itself. Next up: Nest doorbell!!

Even though I had a friend who had a nightmare situation tryi g to install a smart lock himself - I went ahead and did it myself. I am very impressed at how easy this install was. I truly believe it has a lot to do with a very well manufactured machine. I didn't keep track, but I'm quite confident I had the old luck out and the new lock in place and online in less than 30 minutes. The only negative I can say is about the bulkiness. Small price to pay though for how great it looks on the outside. The profile is so flat and modern. The entire digital setup was well-guided with clear voice instructions - never once needed to deciate to any troubleshooting steps. Integration with other systems has allowed automation that was fully in place not long after the installation. Very happy so far with this purchase.

Just get this already! What are you waiting for? This lock will give you such a peace of mind. The installation is super easy. You are provided with instructions on how to set up the app, videos to walk you through the installation of the physical unit, and tools to get the job done. Long gone are the old days where you leave your key under the mat. Who has time for that anymore? Nobody wants to walk around with a bunch of keys. This will save you so much time. I love how it also allows you to provide unique codes for your guests. You can choose when they expire or give them a permanent one. Even if your power goes out for whatever reason this lock is battery operated, so you won’t have to worry about not being able to get into your house. Give this lock a try you won’t regret it. Trust me when I say this is a winner.

Having roommates this has been amazing if one decides to leave I can easily remove the code they used. No more wondering if anyone has a key to my house that shouldn’t. Also unlocking and locking the door from my phone is so useful.

Replace an old lock and so far love this one. The auto lock gives me piece Of mind that the kids or myself didn’t forget to lock up. Easy set up and addition of codes for family or visitors is a plus.

Easy to install lock. Fit well in my existing door mounting hole. I kept getting errors on the lock function because my latch hole was not deep enough. Required me to purchase a wood auger to drill out the wood to the required depth. After that locks and unlocks with the app. Love the google integration. Hey google is the front door locked or hey google lock the front door is great. Also love being able to lock or unlock the door from the app. Bundled with the required nest connect. Keyless lock is great for us but might be a problem in situations where it is the only access to the home.

Love it! So convenient, don’t need a key, easy to install, and I don’t need to worry if I locked the door. I can lock the door with my phone!! Great!!!

I love this device. No more hassling with keys. No more hassling trying to open up the door with my hands full. Better yet I was able to give my adult children the code so they can come in without having keys. Installation was simple. Instructions were well written. Ease of use is beyond compare. Well worth the price. It does use batteries for backup.

Love Love this door lock. We went with the nest because we have several other nest products. Very easy install and somewhat easy to load to the nest App. Would definitely buy again.

Had a new side door I stalled for direct path to the basement and kitchen. The door will be used sparingly, but, for bringing larger items into the home (groceries, bikes, sports gear, etc). The deadbolt and smart lock was extremely EASY to install. Had zero issues with installation. Connection through the app took a couple tries, but, once I realized what I was doing wrong, it was a quick fix. I love having notifications for usage by my children. Automatic locking after the assigned time eases the mind. Love being able to go outside and not having to worry about carrying keys. The lock is pricey, but, in my opinion well worth it. I gladly recommend the product and will be getting another for the front door when we upgrade.

Works great. This is a great investment. My whole family has their own code to get in. It’s super convenient.

We recently built a new home and the one thing that was missing was easy access for friends, family and ourselves. It is easy to set up a password for friends and family and when they use it you get notified that "________ has used their password" which is super nice. It allowed a friend to stay over but arrive early in the morning. One feature we did not realize we would use is the Privacy Mode. When you know that no one is going to be using the door you can turn it on and the numbers do not show, giving you additional piece of mind that unwanted guest cant just guess a pass-code. We also have the nest security system and they work well together. I look forward for additional google intergration.

This lock was fairly easy to install (had to watch a video on it to get help). The instructions are somewhat lacking. Excellent quality. My door hole wasn't put in exactly right and I needed to file down one side of the hole so everything lined up (a fault of my contractor). Once installed the set up went flawlessly and was easy to get working including installing and setting up the app. I really like this lock. It works great and looks great. Best purchase I've made in a long time. The best thing is the automatic locking in case we forget to lock the door.

We had these lock entries on our cabin. Now that we have added to our home best decision. So easy to come & go & it feels so much safer than using a key.

Great lock smart lock with an easy install! I just wish that Google would bring all the features for it into the Google home app so I wouldn't have to also download the Nest app.

This is seriously the best purchase I’ve made in a long time! So convenient not having to worry about keys and able to make sure door is locked on phone.

Easy install and great in app updates. Without a doubt will be purchasing another one for my other properties.

Installed it myself with the online video as a guide, has worked perfectly since day 1. We have nannies who come over, and the codes for them are easy to assign and control. We already had a thermostat and indoor camera from Nest, and this door lock integrates into the Nest app seamlessly. Would highly recommend.

This product has been out for a few years now. This is my 2nd unit and it's been good so far. Battery lasts a really long time. However, it's very expensive and bulky compared to competitors that have more features, like door open/close sensors I've also never seen this lock on sale. Google's other products go on sale often, so I think it's on Yale with that. I think it's due for a refresh or 2nd generation that also slims it down.
