I was having trouble loosing connection with my old Linksys WRT54G2 and was looking for a replacement. A very helpful BestBuy associate suggested the NetGear R6250 as a reasonably-priced, versatile upgrade. I bought it, and it's great! I don't lose connection streaming video, I don't have to constantly unplug and perform hard resets, and I have had flawless performance from the R6250. It's an economical wifi router with easy installation -- even comes with it's own unique password. A great buy from Bestbuy!

Excellent product for the price The only issue was in downloading and using the Netgear Genie, which would not load on my new HP Envy computer. Have not yet been able to load the Netgear Genie but Netgear customer service did provide another way to get the same information so the genie software is not needed. Wireless router works perfectly!!

The Netgear R6250 AC1600 router offers a complete set of features that should satisfy the demands of most SOHO, family, home theater/entertainment and gaming users. Using its default configuration, I had wired and wireless devices connected to it and sharing both Internet connectivity and the contents of a USB hard drive in less than 10 minutes. This router is at the medium end of the price range for similarly performing routers and works as expected in every respect. Router is awesome. No problems yet. Very quick and user friendly setup. Fastest Router I have owned. Wireless AC is incredibly fast, equivalent to being plugged directly into the wall. I'd recommend this router to anyone.

This is one of the fastest speeds available and easy to setup. I have tried a lot of different routers from different brands and Netgear by far is the best available for any router. I had one of the Netgear wireless g routers before and it worked great. Tried some other brands like Trendnet and Belkin when wirelless n came out and they didn't work good. They kept losing connection to the cable and reconnecting. I got the Netgear wireless AC router and it stays connected and gives great speeds even on wifi connections. Paired this with a Cisco DPC-3008 cable modem on Comcast and my internet has never been faster.

This is a great performer. Really fast with excellent range. Of course I hadn't changed routers for about 5 years so I'm certain that technology has improved. I can access this baby from anywhere in my house. My sales person actually sold me down stating that my original choice was overkill for my needs. He was right!

We were in search of a router when the guys in blue recommended this product. It was a bit on the steep end regarding price but he assured us that our gamer in the house would definitely notice the difference and he was right! Our Internet was so fast and my brother aka the gamer also had no problems with lag in his game.

Set-up was easy & straight-forward. Pretty much plug & play. Coverage in our two-story home is better than the unit it replaced. Decent price for a unit of this calibre. Will travel with us to Maine on vacation & hopefully will provide outdoor coverage also. Next project will be to check out the wired ports for my man-cave!

We purchased this to replace an older DLINK system that whose signal was getting pretty poor in our 1200 sq ft house. This unit was easy to install and can reach anywhere in our house with a sufficient signal.

Out of the box and easy to install. Not a single issue was encountered. My entire system was back up and running within 20 minutes from the time I opened the box. Not a single issue with my wireless printer, my Windows 7 system or my Windows 10 system. Performance on all systems and the printer is excellent.

i bought this router to upgrade an older Netgear. I like the speed of this unit, and that it can support at least a half-dozen devices at once without slowing down. It also covers both floors of my house and for a far ways outside the house too.

This Netgear router is the best, it was a snap to set up, from the time I pulled it out of the box, until I was up and running was 8 minutes. The range is awesome, full signal in and outside of my house. This is the one your looking for, for a fast reliable router that you don't need tech support to help setup.

Older Netgear router damaged by lightening strike. Tried a more expensive competitors router and took it back. Found this router at Best Buy and they matched the Amazon price. Works great, no hook up issues and half the price of the competitor. Nice looking unit, great speed and easy installation process.

This review is going to be coming from a semi savvy computer user. The speeds have been to my liking for Netflix and my PS4. I did have issues with my NAT Type for Call of Duty Black Ops 3. This router helps you with port forwarding with I know jack about lol. It couldn't be anymore user friendly.

Replaced an older model Netgear router with this one. Setup completed in under 10 minutes. Great performance. I used the Genie app on Mobile phone to check the signal in all rooms and always had good or better reception and speed. Bought this on sale so not only a good product but a good price too.

Bought to replace a Belkin N750 router and I have noticed a great jump in speed in my WiFi and wired network. Set up was simple and painless, just followed the easy setup and in 5 minutes was enjoying faster internet and intranet.
