Customers are saying

Customers highly value the ease of use, performance, and range of this Dual-Band AC1200 Router with 8 x 4 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem. Many appreciate its strong WiFi signal, good coverage, and relatively easy setup process, considering it a good value for the price. While some users noted that the device can get warm, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs this concern for most. The modem's compatibility with various internet providers is also frequently praised.

Great for the price! Paid $55 on sale. Sat in the closet until I finally ordered Internet 3 months later. WOW Internet charges a monthly fee to use their modem! I think it's around $15-$20/mo. Nevertheless, works perfect and no fees!

A very neat product at this price point. I wanted to buy a cable modem + wifi router which wasn't too expensive and saved me from the $10 monthly rental that I was paying my cable operator. This model fits the bill, supports the 200mbps of my internet connection and the range is fairly uniform across the apartment. Its small and sits in a corner without any cables and wires running around. I definitely recommend this product

This router does just what it states. It was a good buy given the price. It works with my iPads and Android and Apple cell phones without any issues. It was very easy to configure too. It's in the basement, but I get full bars when I'm on third floor of my house. It is connected to my Xfinity cable, and works perfectly. A friend uses it with her very cheap kindle tablet and sometimes has less bars and experiences drop outs on third floor. This issue appears to be with her tablet and not the router.

    Great Router/Modem Combo

Purchased this for use in a small, 2 bedroom condo. It has exceeded expectation. It saved us the monthly rental fee for the modem that our cable service provides, and it improved connection reliability as well. It's also nice to only plug in one device, to perform the function of both a router and modem. I can't really speak to the signal range because this is a very small home, but it is not unusual for us to have two smart TV's streaming in HD, 2-4 PC's surfing the web while also on live Zoom chats, all simultaneously. We haven't had a single lag in performance. This speaks partially to the bandwidth from our cable service. But it would not be possible without a quality modem/router.

Super easy setup. Compatible with Spectrum.

I purchased this combo wireless router/modem because Spectrum no longer allows you to turn off the 5G wireless signal in their wireless routers. (Look up Beverly Rubik and her experiments with 4G wireless phones and the effects on our blood cells as well as declassified U.S. and Russia govt documents on 5G). The cox cable screws directly into the modem and there is no setup required. The signal immediately broadcasts and the network password is on the label on the router. You can download Netgear Genie to modify your router settings i.e. password, network name, disable 5G signal, enable guest wifi, set a timer so that the wifi signal turns off for specific time periods (great for regulating your kids' nighttime internet usage). Oh, and you can even bring up a network map and see all the devices connected to your network and BLOCK THE DEVICES. Whenever my teen son doesn't do his chores, homework, etc., or plays video games for too long), I simply cut off his devices ;) I also use the wired (ethernet) Netgear Powerline (data through the powerlines/electrical outlets) and the setup is super easy. I have Spectrum phone, which only works when using Spectrum's modem, so I used a cox cable splicer to screw in one cox cable to Spectrum's router and the other cox cable to screw into the Netgear AC1200 router; again, no issues at all in terms of compatibility. I am also going to purchase this router for my dad's place since he doesn't want to be zapped with 5G radiation either. In our home, we often have a gaming PC, 1-2 roku sticks streaming, a laptop or two going, etc. all at the same time, and we always have sufficient network signal.

It's been a couple months and it pairs really well with the eero mesh if youre looking to expand your wifi across a big space. My apt has me and brothers rooms on opposite sides and wifi had a tough time getting to his room. So we got this and the eero brand routers and it works great. No issues Eero mesh is not cheap tho but this was affordable.

Works fine for 1-2 People, not for > 4 devices

Doesn't support many devices and has a smaller range than expected, but it gets the job done ok. For the price it's a good option for small homes for 1-2 people to use. I have 2 people using it with a total of 4 devices, since if we add a fifth it becomes impossible to actually make run properly. The room 100 feet away from the router doesn't get a signal without a wifi extender or a long ethernet cord, but a wifi extender works well with this device (probably 40-75% drop in MbPs through the extender).

This NETGEAR Router is excellent! The price was very reasonable and it was a major upgrade for me over my last NETGEAR Router (which was still working). The high tech look matches great with my new HP computer and is a perfect fit for my office as it doesn't take up much space. Great product! The only issue was getting it connected but the was the fault of my internet provider.

I recently relocated to where cable internet service was the primary source available. My previously router/modem did not work with this setup so that sent me on the search for what did/would work. To be honest, I landed on this particular product because it was the only one in stock at my local BB that was set up for cable service. However, I have not been disappointed. It's a quick and easy set up, worked flawlessly from connection, and has great speed. If you are in the market for a cable modem/router and don't want to purchase one from your provider, I would recommend this device.
